After dining in the area we walked past Legacy Pie and decided to check it out. All of the pies looked amazing, as well as the ice cream, jams, pie fillings, and other goodies for sale.We had the cutie tart cherry pie between the two of us, and could have easily downed the larger mini size. They had an apple bourbon, mixed berry, pumpkin, chocolate mousse and peanut butter, as well as some savory pot pie options. We also had a cappuccino and latte to pair with the pie. They were very well made!

Tried to order online on Friday, Saturday and went in on Sunday. They had two apple pies and one cherry pie. No eta on when more pies will be ready. Said just buy the bake at home pies Really gruff lady working the register who was totally uninterested in helping anyone.

Legacy Pie's pies made me speechless this morning so I, of course, am obligated to write about my experience while my memory of eating them is still fresh(ly baked!!) This place's humble origin dates back to 1929 when Grandma Katherine opened a roadside stand. Not sure if this was before or after the Great Crash of Wall Street is a conundrum to solve. Whatever the case may be, this self-made entrepreneur who spearheaded this pie business during the most difficult time in the U.S. history deserves a lot of "hats off" gestures from many of us. After that, it was her second-generation family member who moved to the west and continued the tradition of pie making (in Loveland in the 60's.) I was just reading the whole history of this family business while I was at the store; I simply came to appreciate all the sweat and tears that were poured into this "legacy" that is now proudly standing in the Denver area. I definitely wanted some savories this morning (while I was being tempted by the sweets.) I went with the Loaded Veggies Hand Pie and the Sausage Hash Brown Hand Pie. They are $7 each. For the kind of portion size, this is a good/fair price. As soon as I got home, I wasted no time to savor the two pies. The family recipe to perfect the bestest flakey pie crust is what they boast about and yes, the flakey-ness of it was out of this world. And what goes into each pie crust and filling is as honest as it could be; they tasted simple and yet lacked nothing. Very flavorful I would say that you go here at the top of the hour when they open at 8am or a little after to get the freshest pies (I am pretty sure they continue to bake them throughout the day but this is just my thought.) I thought there would a line of people waiting to get into the store but at the time of 8:25am, I was the only person on this Tuesday (first day of October 2024). Got lucky or what. Yes, you can sit down and devour your pie there; the interior - as you might have imagined - is as cute as Grandma Katherine would have wanted it if she was still around (she is an adorable grandma in the photo on the store wall.) Next time, I will try the Wash Park location as this is a lot closer to my house in the Tech Center. I'm already dreaming about that occasion.

I wish I could give LPC a million stars. Their savory pies are perfect for keeping in the freezer and heating up for when you need an easy meal. I recently tried their thanksgiving special and it was absolutely delish.

Amazing neighborhood pie place!! I got the mixed berry hand pie (~$5) and eating it was such a pleasant experience. The crust was fluffy and buttery. It made me question why I ever buy frozen pie crusts on holidays. They sell out if you end the night there so plan accordingly. Merch and coffee are also sold here. The atmosphere is open and has a diner feel. This place has sparked a fire in my soul for pie!! Will be ordering a pie for a holiday soon!

If you're looking for the best pies you've ever had in your life, they're here at Legacy Pie Co. You may think this is a dramatic statement, but my husband and I love this place. We visited the area for the whole month in January and bought 13 items over the course of that time. We couldn't get enough! Even took a pie on the road-trip with us to go back home. Fast forward to a couple months later and a big move to the state, we had to revisit our favorite pie spot! The staff members are always so warm, welcoming and friendly and the place is impeccably clean. They bake their pies fresh in the back so you know once you step in the door, the aroma is heavenly. There are even frozen pies in the fridge off to the side so you can take and bake them yourself at home for later! The selection is amazing and you can't go wrong with any of the daily and seasonal flavors. The crust is dangerously good - so flakey and buttery! We were able to get our hands on a Strawberry Rhubarb yesterday when we stopped by and I honestly don't have the words to continue talking about how these are the best pies ever. Great to share, but you may not want to.

So good! I'm not typically a huge pie person, but Legacy Pie Co might just change that! We've tried the key lime, mixed berry, and French silk so far. All delicious! The key lime was probably my favorite, followed by mixed berry. Having the smaller sized options is a great way to try different flavors. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back and can't wait to try some of the other flavors.

The rebrand (or buyout) is interesting! Still holding strong to those well-deserved 5 stars on Yelp. Also love that Legacy Pie is opening up a second location in Wash Park. I'm obsessed with all the fresh pies they have available on a daily basis. Definitely follow them on social media for more mouth-watering photos & videos of their bakes. On this visit, I had the Pork Green Chile hand pie, which uses pork from Post Oak BBQ next door. Omg amazing. Normally I don't get savory pies, but it was lunchtime, and I couldn't resist. For dessert, I ordered my usual Apple hand pie. Got a Mixed Berry pie to-go for a dinner party that evening. Perhaps I should make it a weekly tradition to come here!
