Das Meyer Fine Pastry Chalet

Blew us out of the water this weekend with this cake and I had to share. My daughters friends mom's thought I made it, god bless them! This cake was $66 and fed a herd of kids. You will not find a better deal, a better group of people, a better cake anywhere around than Das Meyer. When I went to pick up the cake last weekend during the snow storm, they were PACKED and I was 8th in line. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know.

Ordered a cake for my husband's 40th birthday. It was ready on time and a huge hit. It was delicious and looked fabulous. Highly recommend!! The cake tasted super fresh and adults and kids loved it.

My toddler decided five days before her birthday party that she wanted a "rainbow cake," and of course, Das Meyer came through big-time!

Huge portions, good prices, delicious treats. My dad had me make a special trip to get pastries. Friendly service. Quaint shop in Arvada. Cute little bridge to get in, gorgeous stain glass and cake samples.

I have fallen in love with Das Meyer. After going to a couple of, for lack of a better word, intense wedding cake tastings, Das Meyer was a breath of fresh air. Their cake tasting process is so easy, you ask for a slot in a Saturday tasting, show up with $20 and taste away. They make it as minimally overwhelming as possible by bringing you a few flavors at a time and not making you taste every single flavor they offer, just the ones you're interested in. This brings me to the cake. It's fabulous. The wedding cake flavor was something we weren't finding at other bakeries but Das Meyer NAILED it. The other flavors are also divine. We ended up getting almond silk (wedding cake flavor), chocolate Carmel, and cookies and cream for our wedding cake. They decorated our cake to perfection, exactly like the photos I showed them. And what I was really impressed by was that when we came to taste and talk about our cake, they gave us an accurate quote right down to the penny including tax and delivery fee and every single thing we were going to be charged for. So straight forward, I love it! You can tell they really know what they're doing, they have beautiful wedding cakes, plus thank you notes with pictures of cakes all over the bakery. The ambiance is also perfect. You feel like you're walking back in time when you step through the door, in the best way. We have made a habit of visiting for a delicious (and very nicely priced) breakfast pastry from time to time because I love going there so much! Forgive the gushing but after going to a couple different places, Das Meyer made me feel like Goldie Locks and I had found the wedding cake bakery that was just right for me, it's so nice when wedding vendors click that easily. Thank you so much, Das Meyer, you've got yourselves a new regular!

Awesome cakes, delicious pastries and cinnamon rolls. We usually get goodies from Das Meyer for every family occasion. They make everything from kid-friendly cakes to some r-rated cakes- depending on the theme requested. More importantly, and regardless of the theme, they hit the mail on the head with taste and decorations evey single time. 15/10 recommend! If you want cinnamon rolls go early on the weekends, they sell out fast

I have been getting cakes made here for all my special occasions. The cakes are the best I've ever had anywhere. However, that's not the only treats I pick up at Das Meyers. On Fridays and Saturdays they will have savory pastries that are just incredible! They will be ham & cheese, spinach and feta cheese, sausage cheddar and more. I love everything they make. But the very best part is the owners and their staff. Everyone there is helpful and greeting you with a smile and much courtesy and friendliness. The ambiance is that of an old world German bakery filled with small tables and chairs. Coffee is available as well and the brew is delicious. I cannot recommend this bakery more highly. I love going there because I feel so happy and uplifted because of the warmth of the people and atmosphere. And I walk out with some of the best cakes and pastry around.

Purchased a Boston Cream Chocolate cake with lettering yesterday for my mother's 89th birthday celebration. The cake was beautifully decorated; however, it was dry, stale and uneatable. Our family has always enjoyed cakes from this bakery in the past, what an absolute disappointment this was. When you make a purchase from a pricey "Fine Pastry Chalet" you should have a reasonable expectation that the product will be at least fresh if not both fresh and delicious. Sadly, this was not our experience and therefore we will no longer recommend nor patronize this bakery. Das Meyer's management should seriously review and correct their food holding practices.

Das Meyers did a fabulous job on my granddaughter's cake! Taylor Swift cake was a winner!It was the best! A chocolate cake with layers of chocolate mousse. Everyone mentioned that it was the best cake they ever had.Thank you Dad Meyers!!

I picked up my fourth cake from Das Meyer last Saturday. a half sheet cake with cream cheese filling. The occasion was my niece's sixty fifth birthday. True to form it was decorated beautifully. But the pastry chef might as well of decorated memory foam. People were taking pictures of the cake but after serving it I noticed almost whole pieces in the trash. I tried a piece and it was terrible. Dry and absolutely no flavor. I think they must make the cakes ahead and freeze them and frost per order. This one missed rotation by about a year. I called and the employee was very apologetic. I thought I might get a call back from someone a little higher up but I guess they had my hundred and fourteen dollars and customer service not a priority. I think over the years Das Meyer has forgotten that they are the final touch on someone's special occasion.
