"We stopped in tonight for a birthday dinner with six of us. I have always enjoyed this place but have not been there since covid. This was a fabulous dinner experience and we are all glad we choose this restaurant. The colorful lights and fish pond is a nice view when you enter the building. The spiral staircase up to the dining room is unique and very cool. It's very attractive and wives a wonderful feel to the experience. We were seated immediately and our server was a wonderful names QiQi. She was fun, friendly, helpful, prompt and downright spunky. She is a fabulous server that really made our dining experience all that much better. She is upbeat and chatty and we all loved her. The decor inside the restaurant is fascinating and fun to look at. They did a great job with the Japanese decor. Now, of course, no review would be complete without discussing the food. Wow, covers it. We had everything from pineapple saki, hot saki, egg rolls, seafood teriyaki, shrimp fried rice, veggie lo mein and a few meals I can't spell. They were hot, freshly made, well presented and delicious. This dinner was worth every dime we paid for it and we will gladly return in the near future. Thank you QiQi for making this birthday dinner a complete success. Ps. We received a free warm Saki as a check in bonus."
"Probably the best meal I've had since living in Denver for the last 7 years. We went with friends and decided to splurge on the Omakase and so happy we did. It wasn't cheap , but had zero buyers remorse. It was 10 plates and by the last plate we were pleasantly full. I wish I could remember what each plate was, but once again hands down my favorite meal in Denver. Service was impeccable. The waitress went over the menu and told us what everything was and provided recommendations on what we should do. Would recommend if you love sushi and willing to spend the $ a perfect place to go on a date night."

"This unassuming place makes the best birria tacos I've tasted and I didn't even know about it until my sister stumbled upon it when she came to visit. We both got the goat and beef birria tacos. I love how the tacos are basically doused with the consomme. Tip: if you're ordering take out, ask for the consomme on the side. Their horchata was so delicious as well! All their food was delicious to the point that my sister went back a second time without me!It looked like their specialty is seafood, so I'll definitely be trying it when I go back."
"They have been opened for eight years. They closed for four months time for a much needed kitchen renovation! . I'm very happy they're back. This spot in Cherry Creek offers an excellent price point. Presentation is excellent and everything's fresh! They even offer Saba( mackerel). I'm so happy! They have a great Happy Hour everyday start at opening till 6pm, including lunch time. Dine in only, excludes holiday. "New favorite breakfast joint to pick up before heading up the mountain. Got a fully loaded burrito that is too messy to eat on the drive, but perfect to eat when you get to the resort waiting for first chair. Got another burrito handheld with egg, bacon and cheese with the potatoes on the side. Crushed that one on the way! Good price, fast online order, and perfect start for a day of boarding"
"Definitely has the potential for a 5 star! The corn was absolutely delicious with the spices and butter. I couldn't really tell if the garlic mashed potatoes were like half from a packet and half real but they were good nonetheless. The lobster and crab - loved the flavoring, just maybe cooked a bit better because when it's cooked perfect, as soon as you crack them, the meat comes right out. Wasn't the case this round but will definitely try again!Fair prices for what seafood is going for nowadays. Friendly service! Good amount of seating. Chill vibe."
"4.5 stars. Came here for a networking event. It's so busy! Coming through the front, there was no one to greet anyone for like 10-15 minutes. I was feeling patient because of awesome street parking I found. Eventually I was directed to the patio where the space was reserved. The waiter assigned to our area was fantastic. Super attentive and hard working.Loved the taco station that was set up, notably the shrimp. Some of the salsas set on the tables were fairly spicy, which I enjoyed. Lots of cocktail options but mostly focused on the spicy margaritas. Didn't like the churros at the end, they were too dry. I would definitely come back again overall and hope it feels a little less chaotic!"
"Walked over from our hotel. Wanted to sit outside but the outdoor seating was unappealing especially since an urban camper was planted nearby. So we grabbed an indoor booth. The server was friendly and moved things along but not too fast. We started with a beer and when you check-in with Yelp you get a house margarita for 1 cent! We both ordered the combo platters with enchiladas, tacos, and tostados. All were very good. The pork taco had a bit of heat. They do not provide chips and salsa as a free starter - inflation? Also we discovered too late that they have a salsa bar that you can use to enhance your meals. Maybe we missed this because the menu was via a QR code which I usually find is harder to get the big picture of the menu. Easier to miss items.."

Hidden Gem, very unique seating! Plenty of parking out front, there is a spiral staircase to get to the entrance. I came here for a date night and birthday dinner on a Tuesday night. They had plenty of seating available, so I don't know if reservations are necessary on a weekday. It is a quite place that has semiprivate rooms for larger parties. The seating was amazing, at first glance it looks like you are sitting on the floor but there is an indent in the floor for your feet. You have to take your shoes off in this area. If you sit in the sushi bar or the main dinner area you will be able to watch the game as they have a few TVs. The food was pretty good. Nothing crazy special/unique about it but it all tasted good and hit the sushi spot. I will say the big winner would be the price for the food. I have been to many places in CO with comparable sushi however it is crazy expensive. I thought it was very reasonably priced here. Overall 4.5/5 stars.

Everything was so delicious that we kept forgetting to take photos! We sat at the sushi bar and had the pleasure of talking with the chef. It was entertaining to watch them make the delicious dishes. We tried so many things and loved them all. We got to try ocean trout for the first time and it was so amazing.Definitely recommend this place for a stellar meal!

I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was has to be the closest thing I've had to compare to Puerto Vallarta. Supper fresh shrimp and the perfect amount of citrus. The presentation of it was exquisite to say the least. For the entree, I ordered the Carnaval De Mariscos. Which included perfectly cooked-easy-to-peel-shrimp, a whole fried tilapia (AMAZING OMG), clams, more fish & I substituted the crablegs since they weren't available at the time, for bacon wrapped shrimp. And I have NO REGRETS

Overall, a bang up experience. Hidden gem in Cherry Creek that's real easy to miss. It's on Steele St. just down the stairs. This always reminds me of mountain towns or bigger cities. Don't sleep on Hasu!A few of us dined in last Monday night and it was practically empty inside the restaurant, sans one table. They gave us the booth right near the front windows, which was plenty of room for the three of us. We held off on drinks, but loaded up on sushi and appetizers. For apps we ordered the tuna taco, crab cheese wontons and pork gyoza. All of it was solid. The rangoons were especially tasty with a tangy dipping sauce. Gyoza had good flavor, too. I ended up downing most of the tuna tacos, which looked like they were overly marinated, but ended up being a delectable choice as well.We ordered the sashimi platter for two, which was very reasonably priced for the amount of food it comes with. Salmon, tuna, yellowtail and a few others that I'm drawing a blank on as I write this. Sashimi and nigiri for both, with an additional, simple roll. All tasted fairly fresh and was well assembled. Not much to complain about. I think the atmosphere leaves something to the imagination, it seems like it could use a refresh. But maybe that's because it was empty on a weeknight. I can see myself returning to try more items and get my sushi fix!

Was talking to an Uber driver about Mexican food once and he insisted I have to try El Fogon as it's his favorite in town. We finally made it in on Friday night recently and it was ok. Now I have to say I compare everything to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Aurora that sadly we moved rather far from, so it's really hard for any Mexican restaurant to compete with that. But let me go into a little detail. Margaritas- good, tried the Corona marg and it wasn't quite my cup of tea (marg) the beer wasn't flowing into the marg so I made the mistake of emptying the whole thing in and then it just tasted like watered down carbonated marg, not the restaurants fault but just an FYI if you are like me and haven't tried this. Alfie ordered a mango marg on the rocks and it was rather sweet but luckily the saving Grace was the tajin rim, but that required a lick of the spice mix with every sip to help cut the sweetness. Though I will say with the Tajin it was quite good, spice and mango is an excellent combo. If they just cut back the sweetness a touch it could be great. I also ordered a Cadillac marg after my corona one and it was good, there was just something lacking that I couldn't quite place my finger on...too much lime juice maybe I don't know. Either way would I drink them again, yes I am a trash panda when it comes to cocktails I'll drink pretty much anything lol, but am I dreaming about them...not exactly. Now onto the food. Chips and salsa were good. Pretty sure they blend up Bell Pepper in their salsa which I'm sure plenty of people like. Though I like pretty much every pepper out there Bell Pepper is like the only one I don't and I picked up on that flavor immediately. Still ate it though, and what I did appreciate is there was a little hint of heat in the salsa. I feel like too many places are scared to put any heat in their house salsa for all those spice babies out there so when I place toys on the brink of adding literally anything above mild I commend them!! We did however ask for a spicer hot sauce, which the lady insisted to be careful as it was very hot...it was in fact NOT very hot but I nice kick of heat. Again luckily of us and our leftovers we have quite the array at home. It was good flavor though and did add some heat just not the amount I was looking for. As for the combination plates, they were good. One thing I found odd that if you don't choose one of their pre chosen combo plates there aren't many meat options on the combo plate. You've got a chicken flauta and I think a beef taco but that's about it. Otherwise you are limited to bean (burrito or tostada) cheese enchilada, or crispy Chile relleno. I went Relleno, Fauta, and Bean Burrito. They were all good, just not the best. Still dreaming of you favorite Mexican spot in Aurora. I think it was the sauce that covered the items, It was a bit heavier maybe and not as flavorful as I am used to? I don't know. Either way, it was good. I don't want you to mistake the 3 stars as being bad. I view 3 stars as average, in the middle, not great, not bad but would come back. That's how I felt about this spot. I would come back, but it's not at the very top of my list. I will say I saw someone order fajitas and they looked and smelled bomb. Would probably try those next Time.

"I'll make this fast and simple. 1. Super close to me2. Been here a few times and the food doesn't take very long.3. Yes there's is way too many options on their long menu but I stick to the botana or tostadas de Ceviche.(maybe I'll try something else later. 4. I do enjoy their botana alot and they give like 4 or 5 tostadas for it. Recently they changed the way they arrange it for a to go order. Seems like they are giving less, I hope I just catched them in one of those days and that next time it will be all mixed and ready for me like it used to."
"Amazing customer service and experience with our server Lupe. She is our favorite! If you come here you can expect sincere conversation, great food & strong drinks in a cool atmosphere. My partner recommends the birria tacos and I love the flautas. Good rice and beans here too--I've noticed that most Boulder Mexican restaurants use black beans--but they have the good refried beans here if you need a break from the black beans."
"Enjoyed lovely service and flavorful food at our last visit. Everything was piping hot and the portions were large! I especially loved the Birria and Molcajete. The Margarita Flight is great for sampling a variety of flavors! Overall great service and delicious food! Follow Coloradofoodie on IG for more Reviews!"
"Delicious food, great service and comfortable atmosphere makes this hidden gem a treat whenever we get to eat here. Gracias!!!"
"On a cold Monday night, I met a friend here for grandma dinner at 5pm. We were the only ones for 5pm but then the house was full around 6ish. It was also really cool that the James Beard curator Paul Qui was there.Things to note:1) Prefixed 10 course menu 2) Pre-pay on Tock but for drinks3) No adult liberations but I didn't care bc you know dry January but I wonder why and they had some really good mocktails. Is this BYOB?!!!! No idea - but take me back to Philly where this is a thing4) Japanese/French fusion. But I do not know how much true fusion was happening vs there was some Asian inspired and French inspired dishesThe Food and Service:1) overall - I had a beautiful experience but this wasn't one dish that stood out except for the Filipino inspired oxtail and Coconut Pannacota for dessert, so it wasn't that French or Japanese! 2) not a huge fan of the duck tongue dish bc it was greasy but really enjoyed the duck main3) relaxed atmosphere for a higher end dinner with just a few tables and one larger one for a group of 6-8/104) service was on point throughout the night I liked this new spot - or at least new to me and I live in this neighborhood. If I was to compare this to other fine dining experiences - it's def on par but it does not blow my expectations. I think I need to come back for their Filipino inspired menu bc it seems to be their thing thing and it's one of the very very few Asian inspired fined dining. So come, support all the good people in this kitchen, and happy lunar New Years."
"Delicious and fresh seafood and the chicken wings surprisingly is so good! It's always nice to get a server who is all smiles, it makes it more welcoming! The place is huge and the seating is plenty!I love the hand wash station!"
"I hadn't utilized Fel Fel in a long time until I finally went here to grab a plate of food from it tonight. Glad I did!!This is one of the best eateries in the very neighborhood I reside in. I can walk here from my house.I have to say that the last occasion was at least 3 years ago. I think I utilized it during the heavy-duty COVID time. I remember getting an annoying stomachache after eating their food so maybe this discouraged me from going here. It sure had been a long time since. It was time that I tried them again. The ordering system is a bit different now. Before COVID, I had utilized it a few times. I do remember walking up to the ordering counter and interacted with a live person to place orders. They now have several kiosks. I kind of like this system better (not that I don't want to talk to a person.)Kiosks truly walk you through the menu thoroughly. There are no confusions. They even make some recommendations (as to which hummus goes well with the plate or bowl you are ordering etc.) I actually went against all the recommendations the machine made and went with what I wanted (it is the rebellious side of me!!) Instead of the spicy hummus, I went with the non-spicy (the spicy one is too spicy for me; I remember my mouth was on fire when I had the spicy!); instead of the Mediterranean salad, I went with the Baba Ganoush, instead of the tabouleh, I went with the garlic sauce and so on....I got me a little add-on at the end: 2 falafels for $1. I also signed up for the rewards (I cannot wait to accumulate points for free food in the future!) Once paid, the lady who was standing to the right of the kiosks told us (the diners) that she'd call everyone's name upon their food being ready. The receipt produced by the kiosk even showed the estimated time of food being ready. The same lady who was standing right next to the kiosks called my name at the exact time on the receipt. She politely thanked me and handed me my food. Before I took off, I made sure everything was on the plate. Yup, everything looked good. When I was leaving, the same lady thanked me again and this time with a big smile! Great service indeed! As soon as I got home, I started my dinner. By the way, what I got was Lamb Shawarma plate with regular (non-spicy) hummus, baba ganoush, garlic sauce and two falafels. Although the meat was a bit dry, everything tasted really good. The smokiness in the baba ganoush, rich garlic sauce, hummus tasted very traditional, and falafels were nice and crispy. This plate made my night for sure!***Note***What I appreciate about this restaurant is the fact that they care about our health. I noticed three messages on the restaurant wall when I was there and they said, "99% of our menu is gluten free", "avocado oil used in all of our marinades" and no hormones no antibiotics". Personally, I only cook food with single sourced extra virgin oil (and occasionally avocado oil. Three healthiest oils are extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil and coconut oil; I do my best to avoid PUFA oils as they are extremely unhealthy.) Although I can consume gluten, I focus on gluten free foods. And no hormones/no antibiotics? Heck yes!! They all resonate with me! And the restaurant inside was absolutely spotless clean!!!"
"Came here a few times while I was in Denver. They have half off pasta on Mondays & it's honestly a really good deal! You get pasta half off + a Caesar salad & unlimited bread! I had the penne rustica a few times and it was always super yummy. It has chicken and sausage in it and the flavor is just so good! The wine selection is decent as well. Always get a nice glass of red with my pasta. The gnocchi is another one I'd recommend. The dessert collection is insane! They bring out a platter with all the options on it and it's honestly hard to choose just one. The cannolis were really good. You can't go wrong with the chocolate cake though. It's super rich and I would recommend splitting it with someone or taking the rest home lol Overall love this place!! The service is always great. They've been super accommodating even without a reservation. Although on Mondays would highly highly recommend having a reservation and making it a week or two in advance."
"Are you looking for an Aesthetically pleasing restaurant with solid offerings to please your rumbly tummy, accompanied by friendly service? If so, check out this cool restaurant. They accommodated our party of 12 that strolled in without a reservation-after we saw the menu on Google. Although their max table size was an 8 person table, we were fit in with additional 4 person seating right beside. We were sat next to one of the plentiful window views which looked right out onto the highland bridge/platt river area.Food was tasty, especially the seafood offerings, the crab cakes and shrimp tacos, in particular. Drinks were delicious. Staff let us know that they were recently opened at this location, and they did a great job with us. Just a couple of mix ups with who ordered what.Note for the non pork eaters: the macaroni and cheese contains bacon which isn't listed/described on the menu.Would definitely return!"
"I honestly think that this place is very good. It reminds me of a ton of Mexican restaurants in Arizona. No frills. Margaritas are great too."
"Love this place. I've been coming here for more than 10 years. It's like home, comfortable and welcoming. They've renovated the restrooms and added a washing sink outside them. Love it! Leas crowded in the restrooms when all you want is to wash your hands. And the food is good. Love the yabby Cajun seasoning. Can't wait to come again."
"Great homemade chips. Had a guacamole tostada and enchilada.Good marg, Good service - what's not to like?"
"I passed this place a few weeks ago and told myself I had to stop by. The name caught my attention. The staff were pretty helpful and knowledgeable on the recommendations. They had games for families to play at the table and a nice outside table section it's right across the street from the water so I know it's a vibe in the spring and summer time. I substituted the scallops for oysters for the combination meal. I have to say this place brought me back to the "Long John Silver" days as a child but it was much more flavorful and the sauces were excellent. The drinks were more refreshing than they were strong. Next time I would recommend a double shot. The dessert was ok. The cheesecake had an orange flavored base to it that I wasn't too hyped about but I added the caramel from the bread pudding and that gave it more flavor. All in all I give this place a 8.2/10 I'll definitely be back!"
"This place is good, certain entrees are really good, some are good and some are ok. Our favorite thing here is the birria tacos, they are fantastic. The carne asada plate is four star, I liked it, not the best but enjoyable. I also tried their smoothered carne asada burrito and I wasn't really impressed. So if you come here, I would really recommend birria entree's, for that you should be pretty happy. Chips and salsa is alright, nothing special, but it's free. The ambiance is good for a strip mall, plenty of seating, bench and tables. The service has been good, our waitress checked on us multiple times. It's a good place to have lunch, although it can take 20-30 minutes to get served.Ultimately, this mexican spot is better than most in Colorado. Happy eating!"
"The best of the best in Longmont in regards to Mexican food and strong drinks that would knock even the Chupacabra out after a few. Super friendly staff and most are bilingual which is awesome. Some of the best food I've ever had, no joke! The dishes are so well made, huge servings, and so fresh. For starters try the queso dip. It's served on a sizzling fajitas platter with chorizo mixed in and I swear it made me closer to god. Any of the main courses are ideal, and there are so many things to choose from. The chicken dishes are so damn good! Everything is good! They also make so many awesome margarita options, make sure to explore the menu to see them all before ordering. Can't wait to go back to this place due to the friendly staff, amazing food options, and great ambience. Vámonos!"
"The other location is still my favorite. The service is just that much better. The food was great and my crawfish yabby Cajun medium spice level assuaged my craving. The snow crab leg cluster so delish. The place is clean and spacious. Parking was touch as the lot is shared with Casa Bonita. But it was a good dinner."
"We have frequented another 7 Leguas Mexican Grille, which we loved, on a previous trip to Denver. The food quality seems to vary slightly as we ordered some of the same entrees, but they did not seem up to par. This location also was not as crowded or packed as the other location, which is a plus if you are looking for a more laid back dining experience. The service here is efficient. The complimentary chips, salsa and Mexican coleslaw are a highlight here. I could simply fill up on them alone. We ordered the Veggie Burrito and the Sopapilla Rellena. Both were fine, nothing exceptional."
"Coming on a Wednesday night for date night and we didn't need a reservation. Being from Southern California this is very decent California Mexican food (not traditional Mexican food). Love the theme of the restaurant - very beachy and reminds me of home!! They have indoor and outdoor patio seating, we were seating almost immediately. Our server was on top of it! Bringing out our drinks and food very quickly! It all tasted quick good and had delicious flavor. I did take off one star because of the the strange fees along with the lack of chips and salsa. That is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant.Overall I would come back! 4/5 stars"
"Huge MenuThis place has a huge menu! Lots and lots of beef, shrimp, and chicken options. The space inside is much bigger than expected. Low key vibe with a tremendously friendly staff. Super impressive all around!"
"This was my second time to Turtle Boat. The first time was when they first opened and I was new to poke and only liking Poke City style poke. This second go around I really enjoyed Turtle Boat so much more. I loved that they had more unique fish and toppings options, some of which were local. The portion also felt huge! My cons were I really didn't love that they used fake crab for their crab salad and though everything was fresh it really lacked depth of flavor. Maybe I should have tried 2 sauces rather than just the spicy Mayo to bring things together better!"
