Dan S. "Probably the best meal I've had since living in Denver for the last 7 years. We went with friends and decided to splurge on the Omakase and so happy we did. It wasn't cheap , but had zero buyers remorse. It was 10 plates and by the last plate we were pleasantly full. I wish I could remember what each plate was, but once again hands down my favorite meal in Denver. Service was impeccable. The waitress went over the menu and told us what everything was and provided recommendations on what we should do. Would recommend if you love sushi and willing to spend the $ a perfect place to go on a date night."

Yes, 7pm but we finished our meal at like 7:30pm - so people still sit around and eat.2) No indoor AC, so on these hot Colorado summer days ... even the outdoor garden is warm, plus these are a lot of flies outside3) Nevertheless - try to sit outdoor because there is a full Japanese garden 4) The service is very very very slow and sometimes you are waiting just to order your meal5) no alcohol6) do not ask for soy sauce with your raw fish here bc they already pre-season it and it's a no no7) I love this soy milk both thing where you dip your noodles 8) no there are no sushi roads, it's more of a Japanese comfort food place - think curries, ramen, teriyaki bowls (homemade sauces)Again - if you are not ok with very subpar service .. do not come here, otherwise pretty decent prices, a little garden in the middle of the hood (tbd sometimes a lot of homeless wander) but otherwise you are near Santa Fe."

The prices are a bit high but great spot for any special occasion."

You never leave here hungry.I've never strayed away from the sushi. They do have appetizers, kitchen items like fried rice and tempura dishes, and desserts. I've always been in a sushi mood here. They do have a vegetarian/vegan menu as well! And to be honest, we've never been disappointed. Here are the specialty rolls I ordered last time we dined in a few weeks back.+Fantasy Roll // spicy salmon, crunch, masago, avocado, mango, topped with seared togarashi salmon and white tuna, crispy rice puff, eel sauce, wasabi mayo.+Triple X Roll // spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, crunch, jalapeño, topped with seared tuna, garlic chips, eel sauce, house sauce.Dependable sushi here at Go Fish. It's right on the main drag of Broadway on a lively corner, so expect to see some type of action while you're here. Once you're inside, you'll be taken care of. They will keep the food coming although they have put a 2 hour seating limit per table. Lots of options in appetizers, nigiri, and rolls. Rolls have plenty of ingredients and are generous portions. One of my favs is the Volcano Roll with crabmeat and cucumber topped with white fish, spicy mayo, masago, scallions and sweet sauce. They have other locations but I think the Havana one is the best."

We tried a wide variety of dishes, and were very happy with our selections which included:* Salmon Sashimi 7pcs: $27* Shumai steamed shrimp dumplings: $9.50* Edamame lightly salted soybeans: $7* Ginger Pork Gyoza - Hapa's pork potstickers with a spicy soy sauce: $9.50* The Big Kahuna -Hamachi, negi, cucumber, and avocado inside, topped with salmon, tuna, jalapeño, yuzu miso and wakame chazuke: $22* Karaage Sliders - Japanese-style fried chicken nestled in Hawaiian sweetbread, topped with Asian slaw and zesty spicy mayo. $12The sliders received rave reviews, and the potstickers were nicely executed. The salmon sashimi was good, though I thought they were pricey for the portion at $27. The Big Kahuna roll was also tasty, we would order that again. We would definitely return the next time we're in Denver."

Wendy M. "Hana Matsuri is still easily a five star experience, 6 years later. We love Hana Matsuri. Why, you may ask? Many of the same reasons as originally shared. - Quality: we've never had a bad experience, food wise. Sushi has a shelf life, of course, and if you're not astute, it shows. - Service: wait staff are incredibly attentive, as if they just opened and are happy to see anyone walking through the doors. Attention to detail cannot be faked. - Affordability: Hana isn't cheap, but you will pay for quality fish, well made rolls, incredible flavor combinations and variety. You will NOT pay for downtown Denver prices but you'll get the same experience. Are you a sushi lover or think you might be? Never had sushi? Hana is your place. Makayla J. "I have been craving surf n turf sushi ever since I tried it at Sprouts. I heard this place had it and wanted to try it fresh. I walked into a completely empty restaurant and I had to ask if they were open. They were fully staffed but no customers. It was nice to have the restaurant to myself to take pictures of my menu and food without other people looking, however. I started with the Kani Poppers. They were AMAZING! I love the crisp of the crust and the crunch of the jalapeños. The cream cheese added some creaminess to the mix and the sauce on top added the sweetness that tied all of the flavors together. It was a well balanced and filling appetizer. Of course for my entree I got the Surf n Turf Roll. I must say I expected a lot more flavor wise. The flavor of the filet mignon on top fell flat, and they stuffed the roll with a lot of avocado which I am not a fan of but I don't mind in sushi because usually there is only a small amount. The cold roll that I bought at Sprouts was way better and a lot more affordable which was disappointing to me. I will have to keep looking for a better surf n turf roll in Denver. I will say the service was good and the staff was friendly."

Amber C. "Beautiful, delicious sushi!Osaka Sushi is a huge winner in the sushi department for having an amazing selection of rolls, reasonable prices, beautiful presentation, and awesome desserts!Had the opportunity to finally check out Osaka Sushi after a friend of mine raved so much about it. I may be weird, but I actually love fruit in or on top of my sushi so whenever I'm at a new sushi place I scan the menu for a) rolls with any fruit like mango, strawberry, or kiwi, b) spicy rolls with spicy salmon or tuna, and then c) tempura rolls. Osaka Sushi has a great selection and some very unique rolls as well. I ordered the tropicana roll and ichiban roll which satisfied my fruity and spicy sushi cravings, respectively. The tropicana roll is one of their newer rolls and includes shrimp tempura, crab meat, cucumber, kiwi, kiwi sauce, tempura flakes, and red tobiko. The ichiban roll is shrimp tempura & crab meat topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and sweet eel sauce. My friends ordered the avalanche roll, oh baby roll, and two others that I don't remember the name of. The avalanche has baked salmon, crab, shrimp tempura. Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved the ichiban, tropicana, and avalanches rolls! The two other rolls I tried were also great. Despite being fairly full, of course we had to try dessert.I ordered the berry paradise cheesecake, while our friends had the tempura ice cream and creme brulee. All of the desserts were beautifully presented, with beautiful plate art. Not only beautiful, but they were also delicious. I love the care in the presentation that Osaka delivers for both their sushi and desserts!Friendly staff, plenty of seating. Five stars! Now onto to the Rocky Yama review. This place is really, really good! The wife & I went on Thursday night for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary for the first time & I can safely say that it won't be our last time! We started off with the Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashimi, because it reminded us of a dish we used to get at our favorite Sushi place in NJ. I'm really glad we tried this dish, it was extremely fresh tasting, what I mean is the Cilantro was very dominant& this app was excellent, I highly recommend it! I really wanted to try the Toro Aburi, which was a piece of the Tuna belly, marinated & they used their special fire technique to finish it, again this was excellent!!! To top off our appetizer selection, we got their Crispy Tuna Bites & I have to say that these were the best of the bunch! For our entrees, we got the Spicy Tuna Roll(Whenever we try a new Sushi place, I always try the Spicy Tuna Roll to judge the quality) again, EXCELLENT! We also got the Lava Roll, Red Dragon Roll & the Fire Cracker Roll, and every roll was EXCELLENT as well! I'm really glad we went here & tried a new place, it was well worth the 30 minute ride from Highlands Ranch. We went for Happy Hour, which goes from 3pm-6pm & it's BOGO on Sake selections & some of their alcoholic beverages, as well as discounts on food. The service was excellent & she was very attentive. Ambiance was average, it was a great little Sushi restaurant & we definitely will be back!!!Try it, you won't be disappointed!"

Small place inside and if they do anything at all, they need to stop having SO many menus!!They handed us 3 physical menus. One in color with pictures and two in black and white. Prices vary between them both higher and lower. Looking around the place, there were 3 more signs with more menu "special" items. They need to stop with the menus. It's so damn messy, unorganized, and they need to streamline communication to their customers. No one wants to get a headache trying to figure out 6 menus. The server was very hands off about explaining the various menus and even said "I just work here" -- yeah you do work there, exactly!! Learn how to answer questions, paid employee who wants me to give her my money in the form of tips. I had to work for my dollars why do some servers think they don't have to work for theirs? The rolls were fine. I didn't like their naruto roll very much (wrapped in cucumber). It's just overload there and too much going on for such a tiny spot. Alisha Alexandra H. "You can find this omakase experience in the Denver highlands...Sushi Ronin is a Japanese eatery & bar featuring artistic presentations of fresh fish in modern Asian style surroundings. We enjoyed omakase here for dinner & absolutely loved it.We arrived at Sushi Ronin and were seated at the sushi bar. Marin, Ethan, & Larry were the masters behind the sushi and it was awesome to see these sushi chefs at work. All three of them were so fun and attentive during our dinner service. Manager, Ida ensured our meal ran smoothly and checked in periodically. For cocktails I started with the seasonal, Pineapple Express made with vodka, gin, basil, simply syrup, & yuzhu. The Pineapple Express was vibrant green in color and refreshing in taste. For dinner we did the 'Ronin Omakase' which was the culinary experience left up to the chef. The omakase is always changing and is a dine-in only option. I highly recommend trusting the chef and partaking in omakase. Our omakase experience began with a palate cleanser - the Mandarin Elixir. The Chutoro Crudo was made with mid belly bluefin tuna, pomegranate zu, dragonfruit, golden beets, lemon zest, maldon salt, and micro chives. The dish itself was a gorgeous kaleidoscope of colors. The mid belly bluefin tuna offered a luxurious texture without being overly fatty. The smooth, buttery taste of the tuna went well with the sweet pop of the pomegranate and the mild earthiness of the golden beets. The Mukozuke was the Chef's choice sashimi accompanied by wasabi yuzhu, chive oil, chili crisp, rice puffs, chili threads, & pea shoots. The presentation of the Mukozuke was stunning. The sashimi was so fresh; I loved the texture variation of the smooth fish against the delicate crunch of the rice puffs.I enjoyed chilled sake with the rest of dinner. The Bluefin Tuna Flight included sashimi pieces from fatty to lean. The otoro tuna sashimi featured intense fat marbling which resulted in rich flavoring (far left). The leanest tuna was very low in fat and had a striking red color (far right). The Salmon Nigiri Flight included fresh Scottish salmon, New Zealand salmon, Tasmanian salmon, and seared Scottish salmon. The nigiri flight was exceptional. The New Zealand salmon was balanced and herbal. The Tasmanian was light & clean. The seared Scottish salmon was my favorite - it melted in my mouth with a gorgeous richness. The Canadian Crab sushi pieces were topped with black caviar & garlic butter. The lump crab was sweet with tender chew and the crown of black caviar really took this sushi piece to the next level. The Itovori, Threadfin Bream and Hiramasa, Greater Amberjack were served on ice.The Scallop nigiri was complemented by olive oil. The scallop was excellent - sweet & mild in flavor. The Godzilla roll was made with tempura shrimp, avocado, seared NY strip, and black garlic butter. Larry fired up this roll and we could see why it's one of Sushi Ronin's most popular. The Matcha Trifle was a Japanese take on Tiramisu - lovely in looks & taste."

Generous portions for a reasonable price, which is even better at lunch. On that note, check out their lunch specials specifically. Okinawa seems less busy than nearby restaurants so it's an obvious choice in terms of wait and crowd. Or just get it to-go or delivered. Can't remember what exactly I ordered but enjoyed the variety in types of rolls and fish. Humble little spot right on Tennyson. Worthy contender for "everyday sushi" in Denver."
