Matt C. "Cherry Cricket, the famed black sheep of Cherry Creek, somehow still impresses after all these years. Hailed as one of Denver's best burger places, I'm shocked if anyone says they don't have an enjoyable burger here. When you see the legendary Duffy's sign you know you're in the right place. Entering the restaurant I've mostly received weird interactions upon entry. They do, in fact, seat you, but often times I've had bad luck and find myself waiting for an employee to seat us.There are plenty of dining rooms indoors like booths, community tables, and bar seating. But the Cricket is known for their massive outdoor patio. Part of it is covered underneath a gigantic tent set up, the other picnic table style seating overlooking the foot traffic of Cherry Creek. What to order at the Cricket? They do have some signature burgers they're known for that have won awards at burger festivals. The green chile relleno burger stands out because I don't know how they invented this concoction, but it's a beast of a burger that has DENVER written all over it.More often than not, the Cricket Burger is the pro move. A customizable half pound burger with the toppings of your choice. The one I had the other night was with American Cheese, Bacon, and Jalapeños. It was cooked perfectly, an undeniable beefy flavor. It was a damn memorable burger.Oh. And the frings (with ranch) are a MUST.The knock of the star just boils down to the restaurant being too big, which means occasionally you feel like the forgotten stepchild depending on if your section is busy or not. On multiple occasions the service has been incredibly slow. Other than that, I'll continue to support this Denver institution. Here's to another 50 years, Cricks!"

Morgan A. "My boyfriend was craving a burger and we were in the area so we decided to give this spot a go. I got the mini park burger and substituted raw onions for shoestring (pro hack they don't charge extra this way). The truffle parm fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. My milkshake was delicious they make the strawberry sauce in house and the whipped cream was so fluffy. I'm not a big burger fan by any means (I actually tend to avoid burgers) but THIS burger has me questioning everything. Delicious bun, juicy patty and perfectly crisp onions. The inside of this place is super cute and come spring the patio area looks lovely. Bravo."

Robb C. "Their former location on Wadsworth was okay so I was not eager to go here, however, a group of friends convinced me to give it a try. The dining room and bar areas are large and very noisy. Our party of 7 was seated in a curved booth which had adequate room for us and our food. Our masked waitress was very friendly and engaging as well as patient with our group of seniors. I ordered the Florentine skillet with an order of 2 pancakes. The dish came with potatoes and avocado slices and I believe hollandaise sauce. It was outstanding and there was so much food, I took half home. All in all I was impressed and will return sometime soon."

The burgers are nicely sized, their fries are crisp and plentiful, and everything on the burger was crunchy and fresh.Cheaper beer prices and a solid rotating set of taps. Staff is friendly and attentive.Parking sucks in the area but a block or two walk isn't bad and helps burn a few calories off of the burger you just inhaled. Not the best wings out there though; they were pretty soggy but still reasonably tasty.Solid all around."

The eggs Bennie was wonderful - the Hollandaise is perfect amount of creamy and slight tang. The potatoes they call Browns are great not too crispy not too hard. The pancake was really good. The waitstaff is young I think more teens or just out of high school but they were nice. Will definitely return."

Richard F. "They are a staple of Denver and one of the best meals for the price. If you want to truly spoil yourself, get the pastrami burger. You won't want to eat for three days because you'll be so satisfied and full, but it's absolutely worth it.For breakfast, they have incredible sandwiches and huge breakfast burritos stuffed with green chili and hashbrowns. I can only get through half but they're so good. The ambiance is a classic breakfast joint from the 70s. And the owners are so pleasant and accommodating. Give them your support!"

Erika R. "I was here for a business trip and this place looked like a good spot to watch Thursday night football that was close to my airport hotel. This place caught my eye, there were TVs playing football and basketball surrounding the bar so I grabbed a seat. The place was busy, both at the bar and tables. One of the bartenders came over and asked for my drink order and brought me a menu after I asked for one. I ordered the enchiladas plate and a glass of red wine. I wasn't expecting much from the wine at a sports bar (just wasn't in the mood for beer). I was expecting a great enchilada based on the name, it was good but just ok nothing special. The enchiladas themselves were good, but all the sides were really just filler. The rice had no flavor, lettuce was just generic shredded iceberg, and the pico was definitely mass produced elsewhere and shipped in.Right after I ordered a group of guys that seemed a little buzzed posted up at the bar next to me. Before that I had a good amount of space, but when my food came one of them kept bumping into me. I can't really blame the restaurant for the clientele that come in to watch games but I didn't stay to watch the end of the game cause I was uncomfortable, they weren't taking my polite hints that I didn't want to talk to them and they smelled. I could've moved, but after sitting at the bar watching the bartenders make drinks I wasn't inclined to order anything else. Any mixed drink had some artificial color or sugary looking ingredients. Mostly I saw them pouring beer and shots, so that meant more people getting buzzed which was not what I was in the mood to be around. If you decide to come to this restaurant, I would stick to beer for drinks. They do have a decent selection on tap. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. Drink prices were pretty cheap, so if you're looking for a good place to watch the game and not spend a lot of money on beer, this would be the spot. If you're looking for good Mexican food and cocktails there are probably better options in the area."

Good service and wallet friendly prices.I went out with two friends and we all ordered the veggie burger ( it is not that synthetic crap from beyond or impossible ) which is a great handmade patty made from grains. It is a delicious alternative to beef, turkey, chicken etc.Their milkshakes are delicious and made with good stuff.Fries and tater tots are good but the seasoning was so so. I would go with plain old fried taters.Nice parking lot in the back.Complete bar with a good selection of beers on tap.Great service...thank you Bailey you were great.Highly recommended."

Mia M. "I'm visiting Colorado and my friends told me they've seen the place but haven't dined in yet. So after taking a 3 hour hike, we decided we might as well eat here and give it a try. The place has so much parking and the theme is very rustic/nature with a touch of bar feel. The inside is well lit, the seats are wooden but comfy to sit in and spacious enough to fit plenty of people. The place has indoor and outdoor dining along with a bar to watch any game coming up. The staff are great and patient especially since I had tons of questions for them since I'm not one of the locals. Our waiter suggested a great cider for me to try while I ordered fish and chips. The wait time was decent and everyone's drinks and foods came out relatively around the same time so no one was left waiting for more than 15+ minutes for a drink or entree. I knew my meal was nice and fresh because the piping hot steam coming from my fish made my mouth drool. Even when I touched the fish, my fingertips were feeling the heat. Taking the first bite was hot and crispy yet the fish was tender and juicy on the inside. The fries/chips were crunchy and hot. The meal was filling and I'm so glad I had a fresh hot meal. Would love to come back for a nice cold drink and hot meal sometime again!"

Anthony T. "Great food with mediocre service but don't let that stop you from ordering a little bit of everything off the menu.My wife and I ordered 6 signature wings, half teriyaki soy, half hot & spicy, corn cheese, cheesy pork katsu, and kimchi fried rice. Kimchi fried rice came out first. It was phenomenal. It set my expectations high for the remaining items. And everything we ordered met or exceeded those already high expectations. I would gladly order the exact same items again. Gun to my head, if I had to pick only one favorite... I'd be shot in the head because I can't decide. It was all so good. The service wasn't the best I've experienced. Took longer than normal to get a seat. The pacing of the food was all over the place. I ordered the Proud Mary burger (bland) and my friend got the Buffy The Burger Slayer (okay). I will never find it not comical that she had an entire head of garlic in her burger (like more than 9 whole cloves)! I've never seen that before and we were appalled lol. Mike S. "Just came back from having lunch there with a friend. This place has a very nice ambiance, and their great service added to a pleasant dining experience. We also both liked our food. - So why only 3 stars you may ask?No, it wasn't the mandatory 20% gratuity that is added to a check (several reviews mentioned this before). Since it was clearly stated on the menu, plus our server mentioned it to us as well before picking up our check, doing so was quite acceptable. I took one star, because we felt that albeit the food was good, it was grossly overpriced.I had to take a second star away, since they are violating a Colorado law that prohibits pet dogs from being in an inside dining establishment. Health code does not allow that (see photo)."

The owner kept checking to see if everyone (not just me) was doing ok and liking their food. It felt very homey in the restaurant and there is a restroom in the back you just have to ask to unlock :) I will definitely come back and I recommend this place if you want real food that taste good for a great price and experience. After ten years and three locations this local business with CO-born Chef Clint and his business partner Chris is killing it! Their menu is small and is uncomplicated. You won't be embarrassed to take a date here. They plate their dishes beautifully. Their food is amazing. They serve wine, beers and natural sodas.Everything was really good. What stood out for me was the Grilled Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and their Chicken Pastrami sandwich. The Pastrami had that perfect heat to it all throughout as you eat it. Nothing serious but it's there. But whatever you order from what we tried , or from their menu is really good. You have to try try everything that we tried: 48 hour Slow Cooked Short Rib, Grilled Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, Mediterranean grilled chicken, Chicken pastrami Sandwich, and their Beef Stroganoff (special of the day) , salads Super Chop. Rocket Chop and South Chop. Everything we had was so delicious and was served and plated beautifully & priced right. Oh, and you won't be embarrassed to take your date here. The burger was easily a half pound and was certainly one of the best burgers I've ever had from food joint. The wings were good. Great BBQ on them. I was slightly concerned they were a little undercooked, but it turned out just fine! The place is just not what you would expect. There's 0 seating. The building is barely larger than a food truck and it seems like it's a meh area of town. The cashier, whom I'm assuming might own or co-own was very delightful. We ended up waiting about an hour for all of us to get our food due to our group size, but he sent a bunch of extra wings. This place would be great to watch any sporting event. They have TV's everywhere and from any seat is a good seat. Once seated my super friendly waitress Maddie was awesome. She was Johnny on the spot with everything made this a great experience. Their menu is upscale bar food with tons of great choices. For dinner I had the triple threat chicken sandwich which consisted of bringing the heat 3 ways with chipotle mayo, pepper Jack cheese and Cajun fried chicken breast. Topped with frizzled onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato and bacon. Served on a kaiser bun. Served with crispy perfectly seasoned fries. This was a great sandwich and wasn't that spicy at all.
