The food is very good if you don't mind the aftertaste of cigarette smoke. The diner allows smoking and although the dining area is "split" into smoking and non smoking, the smoke is very prevalent throughout the restaurant. Personally, I am sensitive (allergic) and detest the smell. So my experience would have been a lot better and I would have given a higher rating if it was smoke free.

I ordered the western omelette with hash browns and toast and it was delicious. I'll definitely go back to try out other menu items . The waitress was very polite and made sure I had everything I needed .

I went there like in 2019 when I lived in the area, I lived on Normandy. I wanna say, I hope they don't still allow smoking in the restaurant now, in 2022. The stale lingering cigarette smoke was very powerful, so much so that the very next day, we couldn't even remembered what it was that we ordered, we only remembered the cigarette smell, and the eerie atmosphere, it's like if purgatory was a place, this would definitely be it. I do remember though that we didn't have any negative comments about whatever it was we ordered, so it must've been good, but the ambiance, and the musty cigarette smell was the star of that show. And don't get me wrong, I'm not putting anyone down, I myself is a smoker, but I don't smoke in my house, or in my car, strictly outside, I wouldn't ever smoke in anyone else's house or car, or restaurant, it just stinks. But I no longer live in the area, I'm in katy now, but i just so happened to think about this place, please, if yall haven't stopped the smoking section, please do, its bad!

A place that takes you a few decades back. I wasn't sure what to expect on my first visit but I was pleasantly surprised. The service and food was great.When we entered we noticed a room to the right and the rest of the dining area to the left. An older gentleman was smoking, which was quite shocking now that even bars have banned it indoors. It turns out we sat in the smoking section. Luckily it wasn't too bad but next time we'll probably sit near the right.The waitress is amazing! She's a sweet lady that's really great at her job. She had good recommendations and was on top of everything the entire time we were there. I had two eggs, hash browns, bacon, and a pancake! Everything tasted good and the pancake was fluffy. She even brought the syrup warmed. She really has attention to detail and a great sense of humor. They made a pot of decaf coffee for us even though it was past noon for breakfast.You can also order take out which is great if you want to eat at home. I'm really glad we gave this local business chance.

A party of 15 of us went after a concert dance.. I was not sure if they could accommodate or our food would be out at a decent time... I was surprised... All of us enjoyed our meal, and everything was awesome... There was only one problem with one gentleman sitting behind us, Chainsmoking, the whole time... Would have given it a five star, but that chain smoker put a dent in our eating experience..

Food wasn't good, porkchop was hard and couldn't eat. Buy they still charged full price. Bread (rolls) are dried out. The coffee was good. But I paid way too much and had to go get food elsewhere. Not impressed.
