Indian breakfast!*Being able to procure upma and idli for breakfast during my work week is such a treat. I could eat it every day, though I restrain myself. The Indian omelette "po boy" is tasty as well.Chai or a mango lassi rounds it out.The lunch options here are also top notch.*The above review still stands, but now we're in the middle of a pandemic. Most of downtown has shut down and people are working from home, if they're still fortunate enough to have a job. This Deli Deluxe location, in the McKinney Tunnels, is still pushing, along with the Shipley's next door.I decided this morning to call in an order of upma and an Indian omelette. Unfortunately, no masala idli today. It's been four months too long.I was overjoyed to see Manish and Gaby today. They are masked and gloved and the shields are up. They are ready to feed you from early morning until 3P, Monday-Friday. Calling it in and picking it up is ideal. Please support your local businesses. They need you now more than ever.

Their chicken tikka masala and paneer tikka masala are awesome! Food has a nice kick of spice to it. I love that it comes with naan, Rice, yogurt raita, and a drink! Staff is super nice too!

Came here to pick up lunch before heading to the pool. It is actually located in the bottom floor of a corporate building which we had not realized. We decided to go ahead and order anyways because everything looked so good. They have a wide selection of food including seafood, Indian food, and deli food. The prices were good and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Wrap, so kind of a mix of the deli and Indian foods. The wrap was amazing! I have never had Indian food in a wrap like this, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was extremely flavorful and the sauce was delicious. The wrap came with rice, spinach, grilled veggies, and tomatoes. I also got cilantro sauce and sour cream to top it off, and it was magical. I asked for the wrap medium spicy, and it definitely had a pretty heavy kick. I would go with mild next time I had the choice. Great spot for takeout whether you work in the building or not!

Wow, such a great spot in Houston tunnels. Went at about 9:30am. The owner was extremely friendly and customer centric. Based on his suggestion, I ordered poha and vada pav. Both of them were extremely delicious and brought back memories of Mumbai. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to grab a quick Indian or American breakfast or lunch.

I am so glad to be back in Houston working downtown just so I can go here for lunch again. My coworker and I used to call it "Tikka Tikka" because Deli Deluxe wasn't fitting for this little gem!I have never had a bad dish decision here. In fact, the only people I've noticed with an "issue" are people who tend to find a problem with most things in their life. It's hard to be critical of this place since they have specialized in FOOD -- A+ quality, tastiness, price and service -- Not to mention, they serve it all up fast & with a smile!

Located in the underground tunnel area. Found it while passing by and was such a pleasant surprise. Has a vast menu of Indian dishes. Had their chai and samosa. The tea was warm and good. Samosa tasted good and had prefect spice level. We oredered it inside at the register and paid at the counter. There is seating arrangement outside shared with other eating joints nearby. Were there around 03:40 pm and the place was full of people. Great place to try in the tunnel area.

Deli deluxIts part of the underground tunnel near McKinney. Enter the 909 Houston Center and go down the stairs. This will one of the first food joints you will reach from this side. The board outside said 'samosa chat' and we were sold. We got one of that and a mango lassi. The chat had raw mangi pieces in it. That is as authentic as it can get with Indian chats, raw mango ! Yummm. The chat was very tasty, perfectly spicy and it came with a little raitha, probably to help the stomach digest, not sure. The lassi was really good too. I believe in the mornings they have various South Indian breakfast items, now... thats rare. Since it the tunnels, the timings are like 7 am to 3 pm, and parking is a challenge in downtown as we all know. But still, would like to come back to treat ourselves with the breakfast .Its a great Indian place to try out if you work in Houston downtown. The prices are not street, but that's expected.

Clean, professional, friendly! They offer delicious, food with healthy portions for a very reasonable price. I'm terribly happy to have discovered this treasure! The locals love this place! As my first experience I mentioned It was my first time & asked 2 customers ahead of me what they recommended. They were taken aback that I e never eaten there before. "Everything is great!" "You like spicy? 9 out a 10 times I get the spicy catfish!" Needless to say I got the catfish. BUT at he owner heard it was my first time and offered me a sample of his chicken. I originally came for Indian food, hence I got BOTH. In fact, since they're closed on the weekends, I ended up getting another order of his chicken to go! My only gripe is that the Tunnel is closed on the weekends.

The owner Manish is rude and extremely disrespectful. He got very angry because I questioned him on why the price jumped by 68% (in less than 3 weeks) - told him it was too much and decided to decline buying. He yelled and told me to get out and never come back. (Gladly, because that over-the-top unhinged behavior was totally uncalled for). My bacon & cheese kolaches and Starbucks coffee that I purchased instead were excellent, by the way!
