Deke's Roadhouse BBQ

Not fancy but robust, down-home fare. Plentiful portions. Favorite menu items may run out, especially on Fri and Sat nights.

Deke's BBQ is an overall good vibe. The food is good and it usually comes out very quick. Food Favorites: Chicken Wings, Brisket and Mac & Cheese Shells (for some this may be surprising, it's not your typical elbow noodle southern mac so be open minded trying it)Drinks: Stick with fountain drinks, this is not the place for happy hour or for a powerful drink if you know what I mean. The cocktails are eye catching but in my opinion they often taste like mocktails. TIP: Pass on the alcoholic drinks here and spend up on the sides and meats.Parking: They have a parking lot and usually you can find a spot.

My uncle is a fan of Deke's so with that recommendation I was excited to give them a try. When I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. My fist concern was about parking so I parked on the street and walked over. I was surprised to see the had a very nice size parking lot and really festive outdoor seating which would be great in the warm weather. Inside was packed with people eating and enjoying a game on the large tv's. I was directed to a kiosk to put in a to go order. My food was done pretty quickly.I was looking forward to the brisket the most and it disappointed me terribly. I read some reviews after and agree with the people who said it tasted like it was oven baked. No bbq flavor whatsoever and no smoke ring. It was cut too thick and had a layer of fat on top. Definitely needed more sauce and there was no option for extra sauce on the side that I saw. Somebody out there please tell me where I can get some proper bbq brisket. I also got the baby back ribs. They were tender and had good flavor. I was happy with those and would get a full rack next time. But failing on the brisket I can't go past two stars.

Did I go Deke's BBQ twice in one week for happy hour? Mind your business. The brisket is top tier, full stop. Both the brisket cheesesteak (wiz with) and the brisket nachos both were amazingly good. Bbq sauce is divine, meat so tender. I'd give the baby back ribs a solid 7/10, but they just can't compare to that brisket babyyyy. BOGO margs are strong! Exercise caution

Stopped in with a buddy for lunch. The inside is open and airy, with plenty of outdoor seating available. The bartender was friendly and efficient. Along with the chicken, we had the ribs. Both were moist and tasty. Big portions.

I came here the other day with a big group of family. Such a cool spot with plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Fast and great service, clean establishment and great atmosphere.The food I ordered was just okay. Some of the people in my group ordered the brisket sandwich and that seemed like the real winner. Everyone that ordered the brisket sandwich had zero complaints.I ordered the chopped bbq chicken sandwich and I couldn't finish it. Also ordered sides of collard green, bbq baked beans and cornbread. Order the cornbread! Absolutely delicious and on the sweeter side. Greens and beans on the other hand gets a big thumbs down from me. No one in the group wanted to finish them. I'll definitely come back because it really is a cool spot and great in the summertime. Plenty of parking space! Next time I will order something different!

Firstly, I've had food from here before but only through delivery. I had no idea how huge and awesome Deke's was! From the really long bar, tall ceilings, pool table, and outdoor seating, everything just worked so well together. Our whole dinner party started off with a round of gin n' juices with hints of lavender that were really tasty. I usually don't like gin-inspired drinks, but this one was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. I ordered the brisket cheesesteak with fried onions, a bowl of baked beans and cornbread. The cornbread literally tasted like a sweet corn cake. It was so moist and tasty! The beans were really good although I didn't prefer the long onions in them for texture reasons. Otherwise, they were spot on good and slightly spicy. The beans with the sweet cornbread really worked together. I only ate half of my brisket cheesesteak because it was pretty dense, but really good. The bbq sauce mixed with the cheese whiz was the best part.I have to have the family back at Deke's because there's so much more on the menu I want to try now.

IT'S A NO FOR ME - i called the people from outside the lot, while in my car, they had me on hold 10 minsI walk in. Say i wanna place order, he said hold onAnd he running here, doing this, grabbing drinks, taking people's food out to them. Cool. I turned around at one point and seen the guy taking people's orders at the tables. This was over like 10 mins. Keep saying i'll be with you in a moment Even one lady came out, walk by me, not asking if i need help , forcing herself not to make eye contact with me. I just fixed my legs to the departure position , shook the dust off my feet, and walked out . No need to force people to do anything they dont wanna do .

Their briskets were terrible. I ordered the other day. It was cooked with Bro fat it was horrible. I don't know what happened to their business. I'm not going there no more not ordering out at least maybe indoor it might be different but when you order out, it's terrible, macaroni and cheese was hard and cheesy to put my greens in bad choice right now

i used to really like Dekes bcz the ribs are tender, the bbq sauce was "ok" and the staff are friendlyits a small spot so u can see everything which is coolwhat isnt cool is handling the prepared food with out gloves & tjos same ungloved hands at the same time as preparing ur food answer the phone & wipe down a counterYUCK! even if there wasn't a health code ordinanceoh but wait there is a health code & im not okay with any restaurant, truck, roadside stand what ever using 1 set of hands to prepare my family food also be ungloved & wipe down countersno ma'amso this spot if off my list & i told my fam & friends too
