This place is fantastic! Surprisingly great variety for an unassuming pizza spot. Personal favorites of mine are the pepperoni pineapple pizza, steak tips, and the chicken broccoli calzone. Their wings and pasta dishes are also solid. If you have any sort of gameday or party on your calendar, I couldn't recommend this spot enough. I ordered 3 of their pizzas for a party and not a single slice was left by the end of the night. Davis Square Pizza and its welcoming staff genuinely made my experience living in Somerville better. It always felt good buying from them knowing that I was supporting a local business that offered a great meal.If you're ever in the area and in the mood for anything on their menu, please give this place a chance. I promise they won't disappoint.

After eating pizza here a number of times and also trying the steak tips, I have to give this place five stars! From the outside Davis Square Pizza looks like a typical pizza and subs place but I am so glad we gave this place a try. The first pizza we tried was super solid - not too greasy, rather thin crust, with well distributed toppings that are baked under the cheese. Since then they have consistently served up high quality, tasty food. A few weeks ago I placed a large order for a birthday party, and Davis Square Pizza did a great job. When I mentioned that the order was for a birthday party they asked if I wanted the pie cut into smaller pieces, which was perfect for smaller kids. They provided the right amount of plates and napkins, and all the guests raved about the pizza. Even my father in law who never eats pizza stuffed himself and said he hadn't eaten that much pizza in years. I'm not a pepperoni fan, but I must say I was impressed with their rendition - thin, evenly distributed slices baked under the cheese - yum!Looking at some of the other reviews, it seems like it's possible this place is under new ownership and most of the older reviews are for the previous incarnation of the place. It seems unassuming from the outside, but give Davis Square Pizza a try - they are a hidden gem!

The PIZZA is not fully even with no 90 degree angles, which makes not a square pizza.

My friends and I stopped by here while at an event in Davis Square. This is one of those places where you would just stop by because you're hungry, but you wouldn't go out of your way to go there again. The pizza was pretty subpar. It looked like a frozen pizza. Also, they had pizza by the slice on the menu, but it wasn't available for purchase.

I would like to put a plug in for Davis Square Pizza on Highland Ave. I am a pizzaholic. I could eat it 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Seriously. They are under new management. The place was bought about 8 months ago, and the owner is there every day. I think this is my favorite pizza place (the next one is Pinky's down the road in Medford (I think). And I have tried almost all of the pizza places around, usually to a lot of disappointment. But not this place. The crust is just the right thickness/thinness, the right balance of toppings to the sauce to the crust. It can be folded but is not droopy and unmanageable. And for me, it's all about the sauce. And the sauce is excellent. I make my own and my standards are high. Tangy. not too sweet, lots of tomato flavor, not too thin and not too thick. They have seating but I don't see a lot of dine-in customers. But there seems to be a lot of take-out. I used to order using an app but the owner said it is best for them if we just call the old-fashioned way - so that's what I do now.

Just terrible... apparently it's ok to send burnt chicken on a delivery. Everything we ordered was inedible. Never again. Tried calling but they don't answer the phone. All around the worst delivery experience I have had in Somerville.

Pizza itself was okay, as was the delivery time. However, they were entirely unable to get orders right. First we ordered a large pizza with onion on whole, mushroom on one half, and peppers on the other. We received a large pizza with mushroom and onion on one half, pepperoni hiding under the cheese on the other half. This is significantly worse for me than just cheese- I'm a vegetarian and have been for a while, I'm now sick because my body interacts with meat after this amount of time. So we ordered a second pizza- a large with onions and peppers on whole, we received a small pizza (but hey at least they got the toppings right). The pizza itself isn't bad! But evidently the service is terrible.

Bad Business PracticeWe order at least once a week often two or three times weekly as we have for several years and have been satisfied thus far. Tonight we added fried mushrooms to our order for the first time. The mushrooms were beyond awful and inedible and were thrown away promptly. When I called to complain, the woman who answered the phone barely spoke English and couldn't comprehend what I was saying. She told me to call back to speak to the Manager (this took 5 minutes to interpret). When I asked what the Manager's name was, she refused to tell me his/her name ("I can't tell you.") I repeated my request and she still refused! I told her it was a bad business practice to withhold the Manager's name to which she just said "call back".We are firm believers in supporting local businesses but if this is the type of response we get after being faithful customers, our business will go elsewhere as there are many great pizza places in Somerville.
