I've had 2 meals there. My first was breakfast. Eggs and lemongrass chicken. Very good.Today, I had Pork Bahn mi. I was surprised at how much I liked it! Nothing here locally can compare.You can actually sit inside. With real cups and plates! I'm happy to give this place 5 stars. I already ate the Bahn mi.Maybe pictures will be posted by others.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!So we didn't feel like cooking tonight and I've been stalking this place since I heard it was going to open. Well soft open. There was so much annoying city stuff that really delayed it. Anyway it opened while we were away for vacation and then I just got so busy that it slipped my mind. So back to tonight. My wife wanted to go out and I didn't. Then she reminded me this place was open and I caved. We walked over and got a seat immediately. As soon as we walked in everyone was like hey welcome! And one of those people ended up being the owner. I've been looking at the menu but I wasn't sure what I wanted now that it was actually possible. The server was awesome guiding us through the menu and making suggestions based on our taste. It's BYO but don't think there isn't a drink menu! They have a whole list of mocktails which for someone who doesn't drink it's like heaven. I got the Hawaiian one based on the servers suggestion. You're probably expecting me to say I loved it and it was delicious. Both are true. I got the poke as a starter. Even my wife who does not consume raw anything tried it and was impressed. Of course she did not want more than one bite but just the fact that she tried it was out of this world. The server suggested Huli Chicken for her and I got the pork Bánh mì. I tried some of hers and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was nice and light. My sandwich was delicious. Portions were pretty large. Homemade chips with it were perfectly crispy. Cook came out from the back to see how our meal was and then the owner came over to talk to us. It was so cool to talk to him and you could just see how much he loves cooking. So happy for him to be doing what he loves and so thankful this opened up here!I can't wait to try brunch.

the loco moco was perfect for brunch. i'm still thinking about it. the gravy was sweet and beef patty and egg were savory and cooked well. felt like a homey meal. empanadas were fresh, crispy, and flavorful. whatever that sauce is on the side was delicious.i definitely have to come back for the lao burger. TIP: dont miss their fresh bakery section next to the register. the shortbread cookies were delicious

I was extremely excited to try Das Good Cafe as I'm a native of the islands and always welcome easy access to good food from home. I ordered a soup special, which I believe is only offered on Thursday and Fridays and rotates regularly. The portion size was perfect, the balance of ingredients was just right (I.e., they didn't skimp on anything and everything was in harmony), and the depth of the broth was good. The staff that helped us were quick, kind, and clearly knew the menu, options to modify, and allergen information. There is both indoor and outdoor dining space. The indoor dining space is welcoming, and there is ample seating. My partner ordered the Hawaiian breakfast, which included rice, fried SPAM, eggs, and teriyaki sauce. He also ordered a beverage from the fresh juice menu. He's a picky eater, and he loved all of it. Sign up for the free loyalty program, especially if you intend on coming back again in the future. I'll definitely be back to try other standard menu offerings.

Thank you Yelpers! Being a tourist in Germantown, I stopped here for lunch. Panko coated chicken sandwich and chips. I asked someone if the chips (delicious) were house made. She said everything is: chips, pickles, sauces. Well done guys, it shows.

I can already tell this will be a cozy escape spot for me. Fresh, flavorful eats. Warm, personable staff. I hope it stays around. I think it's a wonderful addition to this area. I'll have to remember to snap a photo of the goods next time.

I have visited several times and tried various items from the menu. I have tried three different breakfast items, all quite good and well prepared. I just finished trying their turkey burger and I am doing my happy dance. All the food has been great, the service attentive and the menu holds more pleasures for the future. This is a fine addition to our eatery options.The tables are a bit small but can accommodate a couple.

Fresh new restaurant on Chelten Ave, near the new Weavers Way Coop in Germantown...Das Good Cafe! Lao-Hawaiian-Mt Airy couple have shrimp & grits, Spam & eggs, biscuits, Poke bowl, Banh Mi, sandwiches and salads on the menu. After a neighborhood walk, we stopped for breakfast: 2 eggs over easy, 2 slices Canadian bacon, potatoes with peppers & onions, a large biscuit served hot and delicious for $10. Attentive service and good conversation with the chef/owner. Let's support a new, tasty restaurant!

I went here with two other people and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Fresh ingredients, good portions, good prices and great service. All the ingredients in the Cobb Salad with grilled chicken I had were super fresh and delicious.
