This is their second location in Philadelpha. I usually go to the one at 11 and Chestnut. Danilo and Monica, who are the owners, were there when I came to visit on their soft opening weekend. They were super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very cozy, homey, and relaxing with cushioned chairs and greenery decorations.I recommend the homemade tiramisu by Monica. Definitely a good addition to Rittenhouse Square eatery scene

My only experience with DaMo has been takeout and I was pretty impressed. A friend was in town for the Bad Bunny concert, so we needed something hearty to sustain us through an evening of dancing and singing. Naturally, pasta felt like the answer. We didn't have time to go sit down somewhere, so I took to my food delivery apps and remembered hearing such great things about DaMo, we went for it.I ordered the focaccia, a house salad, and their bolognese. I've been on a bolognese kick lately and this one was DELICIOUS. The salad was pretty bland, just arugula and a lemon flavored dressing. The focaccia was incredible.I was most impressed with how hot the meal was upon delivery. It also held up really well. Italian take out can be really hit or miss, but this one was a huge hit.

Ambiance: (5/5) Great seating and it is very clean with a simple aesthetic.Price: (4/5) Price is reasonable but the regular portion size is a bit small. Food: (4/5) The pasta is made fresh (you can see their machines through a window). The pasta was cooked perfectly. My food was a bit salty, but still pretty good. I was going for a cheesey dish and that's what I got. Service: (5/5) Food comes out quick and the staff is really nice.

So I have a story about this one.We were in Philly and decided to stop by. Other reviewers indicated that this place does not have AC. When I tell you this place was hot, I don't mean slightly warm, I'm talking it was as hot as Texas in the middle of July. All the tables were full and it was so unbearably hot that we couldn't stay. (I LOVE heat, thrive in Florida regardless of month, but this place was too much.)We decided to stop by the next day when the temperature was 30 degrees cooler. Glad we waited. The place was empty and although it was still hot inside, it was not as unbearable. This place would have received 5 stars from me, but the heat issue was a factor.I ordered the cacio e Pepe. IT WAS DELICIOUS.Would love to stop by again, but not in the summer. I bet this place is perfect in the winter when it's freezing.

I feel like I had reasonable expectations considering I've been to places in malls that do fresh to make pasta. This place wasn't very good in my opinion. We ordered three different dishes -- the arrabbiata, chitarra, and amatriciaba. All three sauces tasted exactly the same. The arrabbiata was strange because it has no parsley and tasted like it had thai peppers. All the pasta was undercooked and WAY TOO SALTY. The service was okay. As for ambiance, it was extremely hot in there because all the fans were pointed towards the kitchen. Overall, very expensive for the quality of food you're getting.

My coworker and I recently were in the area and had a wonderful aroma envelop us. Our Spidey senses determined that they came from DaMao Pasta Lab and we said we have to try them out. Today was the day.We were warmly greeted and thanked for coming our first time there. The greeter said as they were not busy at all to use the kiosks to check out the ingredients in each dish, and then we could tell him what we wanted and pay with cash. My friend ordered the gnocchi, and I had Mezze Maniche alla Genovese and also a Caprese Salad. The pasta was a rigatoni with meat and a brown sauce, and the Caprese was tomato and mozzarella. The food came out quite quickly, and we both enjoyed our meals. My pasta was not over cooked, there was not too much brown sauce, and the meat was flavorful. The dish was topped with black pepper and Parmesan. The Caprese salad was overloaded with olive oil, but the mozzarella was melt in your mouth good, and the tomatoes were fresh and crisp. My friend liked her gnocci and the red sauce it came with.Pasta dishes are priced at regular (about $12 to $16) and large (a few dollars more). The salads are also in the $15 range. My Caprese was priced at $15.40 which I felt was too high. My pasta was $12.90 for the regular which was more than enough for one. My friend also got a dessert of Pana Cotta topped with a berry sauce. I tried it and liked the berry but not the Pana Cotta's flan-like slippery texture. I let her finish it. With tax and tap water to drink, I was at $30.56. My friend was about $20. A little on the steep side for lunch. However, we both agreed that we'd like to come back. I want to try something with the meatballs and red sauce.

Happy to report that after my last visit to Philly 4 years ago, DaMò is still thriving. It's the perfect place to grab high quality Italian pasta in a hurry. Im addicted to their pesto, and delicious focaccia bread. Everyone who works there is super friendly, and the location can't be beat. Don't hesitate to give DaMò a shot!

we stopped by for a quick meal in the evening and ordered their pesto pasta. while the sauce was very tasty, the pasta was too al dente for my tastes and the portion size was really tiny for the price. i definitely wouldn't come out of my way to come here.

Had delivery from this place recently and the food was overcooked, bland, and generally gross. Especially the gnocchi . Had heard great things so was really disappointed
