Las Palmas is a downtown Mexican restaurant that is quite popular and can require a reservation at times. The food is very good and most items tend to be, just a little, on the spicier side which I really like. They feature the jalapeño in many of their dishes. Atmosphere: Almost a fine dining experience, with dark mood lighting only rooms. Tables are lit with candles. 1 StarService: Hostess was very pleasant and our waiter was fantastic. We never needed anything. 2 StarsFood: Everything we ordered was delicious. From the nachos and queso to the enchiladas and fajitas. My daughter and I shared the Fajita Fiesta which came with steak, chicken and very plump grilled shrimp. We like our steak medium rare and ordered it thusly. It came out perfectly. The shrimp was also the perfect texture. Many times shrimp gets over cooked on these dishes and can feel tough. These shrimp were not. The chicken also had a great char and bite to them. My wife was excited with her meal as she loves trying new things. She opted for the Lobster & Shrimp enchiladas. She loved them. I had a bite and was floored. Nice big chunks of meat in a creamy sauce. Their homemade flour tortillas are nothing to miss either. 2 StarsOverall: Definitely a place to go back to. All of the food and the service were wonderful. 5 Stars.

Was in town and had girls night here. Super cute restaurant with a couple of outdoor seating areas. The inside is dark and moody with the cutest nods to TX. As a Dallas native vistiting...I loved it. I had the wagyu fajitas and they were tasty. I should have opted to have the marrow butter on the side because it does add quite a bit of richness but I had it poured over it. Next time! I was hoping for more flavor in the charro beans since they sound delicious. Our server was great. I hate I don't recall his name! I feel like this could be an easy meet up spot when I'm in town. Looking forward to coming back!

Dropped in for a late lunch in mid-January. The patio was full and restaurant less so. We got tucked into a side room with a "back up" bar. Ehhh. Overall, I like the decor. It's rustic with nice lighting a fireplace and lots of space. The food was good. Chips salsa were respectable including our ask for something with more spice, hotter. Guacamole was a hit. For our entree we split the waygu fajitas. Really nice.Margaritas were a bit sweet but I like mine rather sour/boozy.I had to step out for a business call cutting my lunch short. I look forward to returning and exploring more of the menu.

Fun vibes at an iconic Tex-Mex spot in Dallas! Ambiance & Service: My friend and I snagged two bar seats on a busy Thursday night. It was a tight fit for entrees, so I'd recommend sticking to drinks and apps at the bar. Service was friendly and efficient! Food & Drink:- Strawberry Margarita: Strong and delicious. I asked for it to be spicy and it had a great balance of sweet and tart flavors. - Queso Blanco: Disappointing--arrived very cold and congealed. Skip it. - Veggie Fajitas: Tasty and fresh! Loved the variety of veggies and the flavorful rice, beans, and guac on the side. TL;DR: Great drinks and fajitas, but skip the queso! Perfect for a casual night out.

Being from out of town, I rely on Yelp to direct me to great places to eat, stay, or just chillax. Yelp did not disappoint! We ordered chicken fajitas, soft fajita chicken tacos, cheese quesadilla, and even a child's cheese burger. EVERYONE gave their dinners 5-stars and two thumbs up!I would definitely recommend and plan to go back next time I'm visiting Dallas.

Very cool place. We sat up stairs and it was perfect for having business discussions, down stairs is a little louder. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Excellent specialty cocktail menu. I had the enchiladas suizas, great flavor, had a little heat. Chips & salsa were really good, I liked the red salsa better than the verde. It was smokey and very flavorful.

I have heard so many good things about this restaurant, but I was quite disappointed with the food. Ordered a regular taco plate with chicken. The chicken was dry, and the beans had way too much salt. The inside was super dark for a weekend morning. Didn't try any drinks. The inside had a ton of seating options. Parking is limited on the streets, but there is valet.Service was excellent though, our waiter was very attentive. Will try to give this place another shot with the food and order something else

So glad we dropped in for "linner"We tried 3 appetizers, the ceviche, guacamole, and queso flameado with chorizo. All three were excellent, but the Queso was off the charts OUTSTANDING! For dinner we ordered the barbara and fajita fiesta 1/2 order. We ordered these to try 3 fajita proteins (beef, chicken, carnitas) and 3 different basics in the cheese enchiladas, sour cream chicken enchiladas, abs beef picadillo taco. I'm a bit of a Texas need snob, and there was not a bad bite in any plate. Helpful tip : don't skip in the bone marrow butter for the fajitas... it was FIRE! This place is definitely a must stop for Texas mex lovers
