Yummy BBQ in Caldwell! If you like big baked potatoes and brisket, they have them. The beans and potato salad were great too.

Food was great service awesome look forward to eating lunch again I eat here at least once a week and love it

Great hamburgers here. What a nice surprise. I have been stopping here for a while and never tried the burgers . Hands down it's the best item on the menu.

Ever wonder whatever happened to Daisy from the Duke's of Hazard? We'll here she is in Caldwell, Texas! She done gone put on some practical cut-offs and got to making some reasonable priced very tasty BBQ and sides.

A MORAL FABLE ABOUT THE EVILS OF ORDERING HAMBURGER IN A BBQ PLACEBeatrice was guiding the wandering reader through the nine circles of Yelp Hell.On the Seventh circle of Yelp Hell, locked in the Pillories of Errant Ordering was Samuel C.He was sitting just within smelling reach of Daisy Dukes BBQ.He could smell all of that wonderful BBQ - but it was beyond his grasp.He could smell the barbecue but he couldn't have any.His plaintive cries touched the wandering reader's very soul.Beatrice commanded "Samuel C. Tell us all your tale of woe. How did you come to be imprisoned in the Pillory of Errant Ordering?"* * *Here is his sad story:"I, Samuel C, was in Caldwell. I passed Daisy Dukes at lunchtime. The parking lot was crowded. I thought - surely this must be a wondrous place to eat. It must hallelujah befit a review. It must take its justly chosen place in the Chronicles of Yelp.So it was to be that I entered Daisy Dukes.The most exquisite smell of barbecue permeated my olfactory senses.Yea, there were many barbecued items I could have chosen.Alas, I was prideful, arrogant and deceived!In my haughtiness, I declared - surely a hamburger with barbecue sauce will be an excellent lunch. And yes, there were indeed hamburgers on the menu.Ah perfidy! Ah deceit!I was encouraged in my wasteful and degenerate ways by the sight of other diners eating hamburgers.O evil guides propelling me down the road to miserium!I foolishly foolishly ordered hamburgers, and lost my chance for immortal happiness!The hamburgers were hand formed. But - O Woe! - they were thin and well-done to the point of lifelessness. They were as dead as my soul was to be.All around other people who chose barbecue and the light -They were rising to culinary paradisium!Now I am condemned to the darkness forever!I am deprived of Daisy Duke's barbecue for ALL ETERNITY!"* * * * *The wandering reader turned to Beatrice and asked:"How can Samuel C be deprived of Daisy Duke's barbecue for all eternity?Why doesn't he just order barbecue the next time he is in Caldwell for lunch?"Beatrice replied:"Samuel C is a Yelp reviewer. For him, the time between any moment and his next restaurant meal Is always an eternity!"

ALWAYS great food, friendly service and a rustic setting!! Better hours now! Take out, drive through or eat in.

So, being new to the Bryan/College Station area I wasn't sure of a good bbq place. A close friend of mine who lives in nearby Caldwell, TX suggested Daisy Dukes BBQ.I decided to check it out and was pleasantly surprised! I got the brisket tacos and a side of potato salad. An odd side to get with the tacos but; I always like to check out at least one of the side dishes when checking out a new bbq place. The atmosphere was wonderful and made me feel I was in an old hardware store that happened to serve great bbq. The staff was very friendly and the owner even came out and said hi. When I got back to my friend's house and opened everything up, the tacos were still hot which was nice. The flavor and tenderness of the brisket was spot on. My only suggestion would be to use a little less on the toppings and perhaps use more bbq geared toppings to go with the taco, such as bourbon caramelized onions, cilantro, and diced red onion. The potato salad was pretty standard fare and bit too creamy for my preference. Also it could've used a boost of seasoning, a little extra salt and pepper never hurt anybody. Will definitely be back to get a regular bbq plate. The place has a lot of potential and has been a local favorite for years and more than likely years to come. Come and enjoy!

My husband and I stopped in to grab a bite to eat on our way home to Yoakum. What a blessing!! The two beautiful staff members were such a delight and made us feel like family. The food was amazing and I absolutely loved my homestyle burger. My husband's baked potato with chopped beef was so tender and flavorful. I will definitely be stopping in again. I'm so grateful to have found this spot.

The food was fair, the service was very poor. I understand they were busy, but the drive in and to go orders (ordered after we ordered all in the same line) were served first. We sat for 45 minutes when the lady came out to bring someone that was 7 orders behind us their food (they already had their drinks) I alerted her we hadn't gotten our drinks or food yet. She went and looked and saw our food was sitting there, she brought our food. Our food was cold, my bun was toasted at one time but was cold and hard. When my husband told her it was cold she jumped down his throat challenging him. He asked if she could heat it up. She grabbed the baskets and heated them up. Lady just admit you forgot... not yell at us in front of the whole cafe as to how could it be cold!!! It was cold because you forgot to bring it out. I had a chopped beef sandwich, my husband brisket tacos and two waters. Not a difficult order to fill. We were on our way to MD Anderson we really didn't need to be yelled at during this time. Won't be back....

Great brisket! It was so delicious. Ambiance was fun too! Barbque sauce was yum and potato salad and coleslaw was great.
