Decided on pizza for an office lunch and this place is near the office. Solidly average pizza. Ready quick! While you can eat there we took it to go. The specialty meats pizza has a good amount of toppings. The crust has a wheat-y flavor. It's very light on sauce. Overall good flavor, but doesn't wow me. Didn't stand out much above s pizza hut meat lovers at about the same price point of $20 for a large which is enough for 2-4 people.

I went for a walk today after work to get some air, looking for a place to sit down and eat. I wanted pizza, but I didn't want to go to Pizza Hut or Dominos, because they don't have a place to sit down. I walk down Antoine a little ways, and spot this little pizza place in a strip-center, next to a hookah shop. It said DaddyO's Pizza: Best No. 1 NYC Style Pizza in Houston, or whatever it said. I shrugged at it, knowing every pizza place would say they're No. 1 these days, but seeing it had tables and chairs, I decided to try it anyway.Initially, I ordered the Chicken Fettucine Alfredo with out mushrooms, because I saw they had pasta. $10.49 for this. It was okay. Probably a 3.5 out of 5. If I were making it for my self, I'd probably add more Parmesan and cook the alfredo sauce down a little more to make it thicker, because I found the sauce a little runny for my taste. But it's a pizza restaurant. I'm not expecting the world's most luxurious alfredo sauce with vermouth and edible gold mixed in the process. Good garlic bread though. So, I got a small pepperoni pizza as well, to see if DaddyO's Pizza is worth the reputation that y'all are giving it in the reviews. The small was a 10 inch pizza, that came out to 8 bucks. Pizza was good. It came out hotter and fresher than an entire Little Caesars restaurant combined. I happened to see that they were rolling the pizza dough by hand in the back, so props for that. Crust was crunchy and had the right amount of char on it. I'd say the thickness was somewhere in between a thin crust and a hand tossed crust. Not thin, but not overly doughy, and had a nice crisp to it. Pepperoni, sauce and cheese were all fine. Maybe a little greasy, but I think that good pizza should have a little grease to it. Good for the taste, bad for the body. We'll say it that way. I'm not the biggest NYC pizza connoisseur in the world, but in terms of overall pizza, this was pretty good. I'll give it a 4.5 out of 5.Assuming I come back, which for the pizza, I think I will, getting a 10 inch pepperoni pizza with a soda for around $10-11 is not a bad deal, even in this crazy economy. I also liked the atmosphere. Very clean, professional, and the wall artwork was very entertaining. I'd like to find out who illustrated that. You might see me come over in the future in order to find out.

I'm really trying to like this local restaurant, but the taste continues to be inconsistent. Once it tasted as if there was a garlic cream sauce added to the pizzas and it was DELICIOUS! I wanted to order more! But then all the other times the pizzas tasted ok - as if ingredients with no special sauce. Boring and plain. Disappointing. As for customer service, I'm sometimes greeted nicely by a young man and other times, a young woman is cold-like with no personality and unfriendly which doesn't make me feel good when picking up my large pizzas. To me it's a gamble. Do I want to chance being greeted by an unfriendly person and possibly eating boring-tasting pizza again? Or greeted kindly with great-tasting pizzas with that added special sauce? Hmm...

Good pizza and service. Not sold by the slice but a personal size is about two big slices. Bathroom is on site but must walk through kitchen. Food came out quick and tasted fresh. They accept call in orders.

Our new favorite place for family Pizza and subs. After moving to Houston we had tried some of the other places but they're there too expensive or didn't really live up to the hype. Prices are very good here and the food is made fresh and quick. Meatball calzone is another favorite or you can get one made however you like. And they have Coca-Cola products instead of pepsi. Get a good deal on the wings too. You're on Gessner come by and check it out!

I eat here every time I come to my company's Houston office which is right around the corner. Clean little pizza place with counter service. They have good subs, salads, pastas etc in addition to great pizza. Currently they have baklava for dessert that's really good.

Our go-to local pizzeria! The pizzas are outstanding and the spaghetti with marina is next level. I've always been happy with my orders and we order from DaddyO's quite regularly. Can't go wrong!

My last visit here was 6 years ago so I was overdue for a return. A week ago, I stopped by for lunch and ordered a custom made 10" pizza made with beef, mushrooms and white onions for about $15 with tax. Their only drink options are bottled which was extra of course. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. My pie was very cheesy and tasty and the toppings were generous and flavorful. It was a very good pizza but for $15 and just 10" a little expensive in my opinion. Everything is more expensive. I give a 4 score for the pizza. The eatery is in a strip center with parking in front. It has a small dining room and is clean. I think most of the customers get theirs to go. It is a counter service restaurant.

If you crave New York style pizza, this is the place. It's laid back counter service and very much a neighborhood pizza joint. All of which I mean in the BEST way.

Years ago one of my fellow apartment dwellers told my table mates and I, "it was good. You should try it." Yes, he was telling us about DaddyO's pizza. The parking lot refurbished and businesses added on we should give it a try. I will buy my pizza next month. I have seen stars of "like."When I order my pizza I won't get pineapple, I will gladly get jalapeños. Enjoy, I sure will.
