D & G Jamaican Restaurant

This is my go to Jamaican restaurant for everything breakfast. Every and anything you may want from a Jamaican restaurant for breakfast they have. I always get ackee and saltfish which is always on point. I normally order for my family of 5 and they have the mini size option which is very affordable. I have also gotten soup and jerk chicken. Nothing disappoints me at D&G.

*New Hollywood Location*When we saw a new Caribbean restaurant in Hollywood we had to give it a try. We visited on a Wednesday night close to closing time, and I must say the customer service was on point. As with any new Jamaican spot I try I stick to the tried and true until I know I can trust it as authentic. So on this Wednesday night we opted for the Stew Chicken and Curry Chicken. While it was good the stew chicken tasted unlike any other stew chicken I've had before. I wouldn't label it as bad just "different". There was something that made the gravy taste oddly like lemon grass and I couldn't put my finger on it. I'm not a big citrus fan in my food but it wasn't bad. The curry chicken on the other hand hit all the right notes of authenticity. The prices were a little higher than I'm used to paying for chicken ($1-$2 more) at other Jamaican spots. We will be back.

The best Jamaican food in Miami! The fried chicken and fried dumplings are amazing ! The red pea soup is a must try it's hearty abs just warms my heart everytime ! If you love Jamaican or never had it and you need a spot! This is the place for you! I have been to Jamaica and this food really blows the food I had in Jamaica out of the water!

Honestly, the lunch special for $4.50 is unbeatable! The food is always great! I usually get the Fried chicken special...rice and peas...oxtail gravy and a side salad. I'm in heaven! If you have the opportunity to check this place out, don't play yourself and treat yourself !

THE WORST. I called and asked if they had coco bread and they told me yes, so I sent my boyfriend to buy some. When he returned, they sold him packaged corn bread and told him that it was similar to coco bread. So i had to go back to the store and tell them that we asked for coco bread, which they proceeded to tell me they didn't have. Cool, that's fine. So i asked to return them. They told me he used a card to pay so I said ok i have the card. The cashier calls what I'm assuming to be the manager over and they deliberated for a minute just to tell me "once it's sold, they can't take it back." 1. NO WHERE in that store does it say no refunds and 2. for prepared food, i can understand but this was a PACKAGED item that had not been opened. Don't bother spending your money here, if there's a problem, they wont even try to work with you to fix it. It isn't worth the trouble.

Terrible service, ordered on Uber Eats and the delivery should take about half an hour, a hour later they cancel the order. Prior the driver claim he was in traffic and I wondered what traffic. It was my first time ordering and my last. I am sick and wanted the soup now the other restaurants are sold out.

Brown Stew ChickenCountry Fried ChickenCurry GoatSo Iet me start off by saying I live across the street so I come here often and the food is decent compared to the others in the area. Within the last year they have gone down. The prices are the same and the food portions are half. I noticed people would say something to them and they'd brush it off. But this time I couldn't. Ordered 3 meals on my lunch break I go to check out and notice 2/3 boxes I ask the lady at the counter to see the bag. She gets an attitude and goes you didn't look when they did it. So I get annoyed and say no and take the bag to look. So I tell her it's missing the large country fry. Her and the owner then go to tell me I didn't order it. The lady who shared me out passed it to them and the cashier goes oh so why didn't you tell me this too and gets an attitude. So now I'm over her being loud and wrong and let her know I tried to but since she knew everything and had an attitude she didn't listen to know wtf I was trying to tell her. Had to pay separately for that meal. Didn't get a oh my bad or a sorry. Usually go like 2/3xs a week and spend a good $60 at a time when I go (due to never making it for lunch time since I work 9-5 and having a family of 4) .So guess who is taking their $60 8 mins down the road to Aunt Is for now on :). Atleast the food cost/taste the same if not better and you get more. The owner is real cheap and you can feel when he's around the workers behave so different and all you hear is him telling them they're giving too much food (meanwhile everyone is complaining to them about the cost to portion size). So I get yall stressed price of everything went up and yall got to keep the business going. But like I told the other cashier days ago when someone snapped on her for what I was going through today. To let people know prices of food went I so in return to give yall the quality yall want the price is going to change. People would respect that more. So I wasn't going to say anything about how much food I was given because that not me and I work the hospitality business so I know what mom and pop businesses have to go through so I was glad to have my money going to a Jamaican establishment. But for the way I was treated today along with food quantity (order the same meal 3 days before and tbh the got had a lil less fat this time but the portion size was smaller) def isn't worth it. Rather suck it up and drive the extra mins to pines to go to aunt is or Dutch pot :)

Curry chicken is DELICIOUS!!! Will definitely will be going back! Service and ambience were AMAZING!

Ordered a large Gungo peas soup on a Tuesday, it was way too salt, not edible. It was like drinking salt water. Had to throw it away. They fell off big time.
