CRÚ Food & Wine Bar - The Woodlands

An unexpected treat at Market Square in the Woodlands. We happened upon this cute wine and food bar after attending the Lamborghini festival in the Woodlands. Just looking for a spot to cool off turned into an amazing brunch with peach bellinis , delicious pizza and the best creme brille ever.

Cheers to Jose and Carlos for making our afternoon and first time visit exceptional. We tried four different Wine flights based upon their recommendations, and all were very good and allowed us to try wines from 12 different wineries in one setting. The food was also very very good. We tried the Cheese Fondue, Goat Cheese Beignets, as well as the pizza of the day. Everything was 10 out of 10. Apparently they have a new location in Austin which we will also try soon. Nice to know that you can find curated wines for purchase and take out as well. Looking forward to going to some of their events in the near future.

What a wonderful experience Friday evening first time visit for me! I fell in love with the staff on Friday Megan was very attentive and made wonderful suggestions for wine flights! Also for dinner which we enjoyed very much a wonder small salad and pizza! Great atmosphere and selections of wine! Will be back for sure!

The food took so long. Our lunch was 2.5 hours. All of our entrees came out at different times. Most of our entrees were not as described. They were out of a lot of ingredients and instead of letting us know, they just omitted them. For example the short rib hash had no potatoes. How can you do a hash with no potatoes?? Our server barely tended to us. The portions were so small but the prices we not. Go there for wine if you must but go elsewhere to eat.

Zero stars. Let's just start with the fact that we ordered 3 wine flights and none of them were correct (I know this because I've had half of the wines and could pick them out easily). We told them this but it was easily shrugged off. Then before ordering any food we told the waiter that my friend was deathly allergic to nuts. He said this was no problem. 5 minutes later he brings food with NUTS. (Writing this review from the EMERGENCY ROOM). We said we needed to leave immediately and to go to the emergency room and he had the audacity to bring us the check. Will never eat here again. Food was absolutely garbage. Service was even worse. Only doing one star because you HAVE TO. Would rate this ZERO STARS

We had a really delicious Easter brunch at CRU! The menu options were creative and beautifully plated. I want to go back for happy hour - this is a nice spot!

Went in for a glass of wine, left with a new BFF.Ok y'all, this place is SO cute. A perfect girls night or date night spot. Our server Nicole was legit - she gave us so many amazing wine recos - I can't wait to go back to learn more from her!!! Tell your friends. But don't because like I still want to go, but I want y'all to know how awesome it is...ugh it's hard!

I assume that because it was a holiday weekend the service was poor. The food was excellent. We had the wine flights, the smoked salmon board (excellent), the goat cheese beignets (delicious, superb, to die for...), the spinach and artichoke gratin (delicious but served with insufficient "crostini"), the avocado toast, the tomato soup, and the pear and gorgonzola pizza. All great. I would return. We ordered extra bread for the dip and sparkling water but it took forever to get both. Imagine, bringing bottled sparkling water to the table an not bringing glasses. I will give them a second chance.

I was very excited to try out Cru but I was very disappointed. The service, wine and atmosphere were good but the food was a disappointment. A lot of the food options are fried. To me, fried food is unhealthy and just plain lazy.I ordered the meatballs and they were hard and dry.The lobster and shrimp potstickers did not taste like lobster nor shrimp. The goat cheese beignets were very greasy. The quality of food can definitely be improved.
