Salmon | chill | service Salmon - I had the salmon. It was paired well. The taste was distinct and crispy, but not too hard. Overall, it was prepared great with the vegetables, and I highly recommend it.Chill - overall the places an upscale chill vibe. It's a place where you can come sit at the bar and grab a glass of wine or a cocktail at the same time. It's a great kind of first spot or spot to have conversations with friends and family.Service - When my wife and I arrived at the restaurant, the staff seemed hesitant to help us because we arrived in three different cars. We were meeting friends there who were having some parenting issues, so one parent arrived first and then another joined later. Despite arriving close to closing time, we made sure to order our drinks and meals promptly. However, the staff gave us a lot of attitude when seating us at our table.Why not 5 stars:They lost half a point for the food-to-price ratio and another half point due to the staff's lack of willingness to help us when we were within an hour of their closing time.

Cute place but was dirty. The lamps around the restaurant were full of dust and the bathrooms were unkept. If that's dirty.... What about the kitchen? Food and service were mediocre. This is a wine bar and the server didn't even know how to poor a glass of wine correctly. A few starters came out and were finished before our drinks even arrived. Sadly;Mostly likely will not be back again.

Stopped by this place on my way back to Charlotte last week based on my boyfriend's recommendation. He knows I love wine and that this might be a good lunch spot. We only have the oysters one white flight and a beer. I loved the experience enough to want to go back once I have more time. I wanted a mix of red and whites but again didn't bother to ask due to time. I think our server was named DJ. Anyway he was cool and addressed our few questions promptly. There is a long list of flights to try and the ambiance was neatly designed. Looking forward to my next visit.

Food was ok - I thought the tuna tartare was woefully missing tuna and the chunks of cucumber/other stuff just made for a very messy plate. But the fritto misto was really good, service was lovely and the Champagne flight was fantastic! They have happy hour deals, Wednesday Farmers Market specials - in a lovely setting, very community oriented. - Clean up that tuna for a perfect score!

Wanted to check out this spot for the food and wine. Got the black truffle pizza which was below average. Was not well constructed but was flavorful. The beignets were good but came out slightly cold which was kind of strange. We also got the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was actually our favorite. They had a good selection of wine as well and enjoyed the bottle we got. Service was good and the waiter came to our table often. We also had a reservation which got us seated quickly. The prices were average and we came during happy hour which was a pro. Plenty of parking as well. Atmosphere was good with open windows and both indoor and outdoor seats. Overall, I think the food was not worth it but the wine was good. Would come back for a casual drink or during happy hour but probably not outside of that.

I've been to Cru a few times and always enjoy myself. This is the first time I've had brunch and it's amazing. My petit filet was seasoned so well and cooked perfectly along with the eggs and potatoes. Blood orange Bellini was also really good. The ambiance is always nice and serene and service is always great.. Definitely a great place for a bite and an assortment of wines to choose from..

Updating my review since I tried another flight and the food. The flight (#7) was great and the Pear and Gorgonzola pizza is incredible! Evan was our friendly, attentive waiter. He recommended flight number 7 and I am glad he did. The second wine in the flight ("Party Line") was excellent. It's smooth and flavorful. Evan checked in with us throughout our stay and kept our small water glasses full. Prices are still reasonable and reservations are easy to make. The restaurant is small and evenings and weekends are busy. Plus during the winter, seating is even more limited (since I doubt you want to sit outside). Therefore I highly recommend making a reservation. Really in the evening or weekend for anywhere in Fenton I recommend making a reservation. Overall great place a wine and gourmet pizza!

The food was good once we finally got it. It took an hour and a half after we ordered for our ahi tartare and margarita pizza to come out. The service was massively lacking. The wait staff was trying their best but it seemed like there was no one telling them what to do. Two wait staffers got into an argument about whether or not to clear a dirty table. They either need more staff, better leadership or both.

Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly service! Would definitely recommend for a night out with the girls or spouse.

My friends and I came to Cru around 9:30 on a Saturday evening, it was six of us, the place was about thirty percent full and they had plenty of seating. Upon entering, one particular guy who looked to be a manager or owner gave us a look that made us just uncomfortable, like he was unhappy that we came in. We asked the waiter if they had seating for us and she went to the back to ask and begin to clean a table, and set up spaces for us. It took about 15 minutes for them to get the table of six together and the whole time this particular man in the back seemed very irritable at our presence. We felt like he kept glancing at us and it just made us overall uncomfortable. We sat down when the table was finally ready and the waitress got us water but at this point we were just not comfortable and decided to leave and go to another restaurant, where we received beautiful service.Ultimately as customers we felt unwanted at Cru and as if us coming in was a burden for them and therefore we left. I don't think I'll ever be back to this location after this experience and I hope they treat other diners better than they treated us.
