I got the original pork and scallop gyoza accompanied by the sweet basil sauce. True to its southern roots, the sauce was way too sweet, but at least it was also pretty basilly. The gyoza themselves were tasty, though the scallop wasn't too evident, and they had a perfect shattering 'crust' at the edges. 6 pieces for $10 is a bit of a rip-off though - that's barely snack sized even for my mini-appetite.

I had really high hopes for this truck, especially with the line. The gyoza weren't too flavorful and tastes more of the burnt bottom than anything. The taste of steamed ginger is prominent, but I don't think that was the desired cooked ginger taste you normally find in gyozas. A bit of a head scratcher why the line was long...fellow patrons waiting were confused, wondering if the gyozas weren't pre-wrapped yet? Then we all were pretty much disappointed in waiting for average gyozas.

Yum! Perfect Gyoza! Original (pork) for me. Seafood & Chicken for Husband.Seaweed salad side for me. Rice for Husband. Each order of gyoza comes with choice of two sauces, as well as the choice of side. Perfectly seared, fillings full of flavor, dipping sauces delicious. I liked the seaweed salad too. Rice was rice...I didn't realize I should have added the seeds at the truck for Husband, so he was a bit disappointed that his rice didn't have any as pictured on their website. My bad. Husband almost went back for a second order. That's how much he liked it.Note: you order, pay and are given a pager and told it will be around ten minutes. It didn't take quite that long. Extra credit for wearing masks.

Tried this at the NC lantern festival. Loved the original gyoza. They were perfect on a cold night. The serving size was good and the gyoza were cooked well and tasted great. The gyoza also had rice. Service was fast. I will definitely look out for them again. They had their original with pork, chicken and a vegetarian option. The original was great. My friend had the chicken and loved it. Another group I talked with had the veggie option and said it was very flavorful and they really enjoyed it.

Delicious! I loved it. I had an order of the vegan gyoza and a side of edamame. It was an oversight on my part that I didn't see the side of half rice and half edamame, but I'd get that next time. The edamame side was so much edamame. The gyoza was so yummy-crispy on the outside and softer in the middle. The employee recommended miso dipping sauce for the gyoza-fantastic recommendation! I love that crispy gyoza has a vegan option too.

I'm impressed! I'm always skeptical of gyozas are restaurants and food trucks and it's probably because my Japanese mom makes the most amazing gyozas ever! But I have to give it to Crispy Gyoza because their gyozas aka dumplings are just as good as my mom's. No joke. The wonton skin wasn't too thick, the dumplings were cooked to crisp perfection, the flavor was on point and the sauce was just yum. Great job Crispy Gyoza! You've made of fan of me! Tip: Put some furikake on your rice for some extra flavor. Furikake is a dry Japanese seasoning. They have it available on their outdoor table.

I LOVE me some dumplings, so when I saw this truck pull up outside Bull City Ciderworks for the day, I was so excited! I wandered up to the truck and was met with a super friendly greeting, a great menu, and a ton of sauce options! The owner was working on the truck and she was so helpful with suggestions and pairings of dumplings with sauces. I was very impressed that they had not only vegetarian options, but vegan options, too, in addition to classic meat options like pork and chicken. Plus, with the option to mix and match different dumplings in my order, I was one happy chica. Surprising to me was that the shiitake vegan dumplings were my favorite! All of them were great, but pairing these with a spicy ginger sauce made me go back for a second order to take home. They were awesome! I can't wait to see this truck at some of my local Durham haunts soon. I could use some more of the friendly people and the great dumplings!!

Food Truck: Crispy Gyoza @ Bond Brothers Not a fan of these Japanese dumplings. Tried the Seafood & Chicken with a side of edamame. I really enjoyed the edamame, I wish I could say the same for the dumplings but did not enjoy this flavor combination. You receive a pager upon ordering so you can pick your food up when it buzzes which is nice. I would not recommend this food truck.

These gyozas are absolutely delicious. They're steamed and then pan fried until crispy. I appreciated the vegan options and being given 7 Gyoza in one order! Be warned they do cook to order so it takes a little bit of time (about 10 minutes) and I imagine if they had lots of order they may get back up.
