Small business that is originally and tasteful every time. I love the price and down to earth service. I can say that every time I order and eat a burger, it tastes like my grandmother's old-fashioned hamburger straight from her kitchen. I love the it So go check them out, plus they open late.

First of all they only accept cash! But why?! Then the older woman at the window today was beyond rude and unprofessional. Each encounter with her is always the same. The food is hood average and not worth the BS. Yes this burger joint has been a staple in the 3rd ward area but they don't under the power of social media, keep being rude and watch you business to suffer. Word of mouth is powerful, enough people complain and post on this platform..... she will find her rude ugly spirit in the unemployment line. Come on folks lets do better and show your customers some respect.

This is the perfect little burger joint, the fries were hot, and just enough salt. The fries didn't even make it out of the parking lot. Make sure when you go here that you have CASH, they do not have any electronic payment system but that keeps down pricing there are three major universities near so even a struggling college student can grab a good meal and not break the bank.

Ms Beverly wasn't impressed I had been there many time while it was my sons first time."It took you too long then."She was right. My 21 year old was 3 years late in starting his Cream Burger experience.***********I was a freshman at nearby U of H when late one day some friends and I decided to walk the long trek from Moody Towers to Holman @ Scott. "Bro, it's worth it." Trey said, excited to share his adopted home's burger joint (Trey literally attended U of H since it's in Third Ward Houston, which is nicknamed appropriately enough The Trey. The cash only spot features all the classic offerings, cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, shakes, the whole experience. I ordered the strawberry shake, the cheeseburger, and the frito pie. It's been my go to order since. The shake is exactly what you expect, a thick light red artificial flavor of strawberries with milk. It's the perfect sweet compliment to the savory and salty frito pie; I get mine without the onions but I've had it both ways. The burger is what you expect from your hood joint, loaded with taste, very juicy, all the fixings are fresh, and ready to be devoured. I'm a mustard and no mayo type of guy and this one hits. The fact they char the bun gives it a great crispy buttery taste on the bun that makes a huge difference. ************Over 20 years later, my son opted for the cheeseburger and loaded fries. Just like my burger, it's just as delicious. The loaded fries with cheese are what you expect; I actually think the cheese is a bit overkill but they are a good option. My sons Dr Pepper was flat but we got a new one and it wasn't a big deal.My son remarked how many times he's passed by but never stopped in but obviously he needed to stop by more often.Ms. Beverly heard that exchange and said "See, you should've brought him a long time."Don't make my mistake; raise your kids or yourself right and get you some.Pro tip: the cash only joint gets busy; don't waste Ms Beverly's time in the line. Know what you want before you stand.

While this place may not look like much, it is one of the best burgers I have had. It's very home style, good food like your grandma is cooking. The staff is very sweet and happy to customize your order. They are a CASH ONLY establishment, so be sure to bring cash, but they are very affordable. Highly recommend getting a shake as they are creamy goodness and the perfect compliment to a burger and fries.

Loved the legendary Cream Burger. Cannot believe that it took me so long to drop by. Made sure I had cash. Fed me, my teen and ten year old for under $20. This was fantastic. The burger was a classic and the chili cheese fries, drenched with chili and STILL CRISP!!!!

So affordable. Got a single cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, small fry, sundae and hotdog for $18.50. Tons of vegetable toppings that are fresh and crunchy . Cheaper than McDonald's and way better quality.

I hate to do this review because it's highly rated so I don't want to seem negative BUT it's a huge no, no. We were highly dissatisfied. This establishment is cash only, which it's fine. It's posted prior to you even ordering. Limited parking. The grounds were well kept this day. The female owner is a bit rough around the edges but we knew how to handle that, lol. The burger patty's are premade frozen boxed burgers which lack flavor. Fries were served hot and soggy. Sodas were extremely flat. Frito pie was mid. The cookies and cream shake is top tier!! Absolutely would not return. I really feel like we wasted money here big time.
