I hadn't been to Crank Arm in at least 10 years, and I was pleasantly surprised. They had a variety of different beer styles to choose from. The two sours I had weren't bad-one tasted like a blueberry pop tart. You can get flights (5), frozen drinks, and cocktails.Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and the bartenders were friendly.

Crank Arm was a nice pit stop while we waited for a concert to begin at Red Hat. It was a little disappointing that they did not have more food options, nor a more robust non-alcoholic beer selection. The atmosphere is steampunkish and there is plenty of seating inside and out. Overall a decent place.

Good Beer, no food, ((Popcorn, or chips in a bag is all they have for food), nice atmosphere. Decent place to stop for a drink.Pleasant servers, a little young, not very professional, but competent.

I love sours and my husband loves IPAs, so this place got the spot for both of us!The 44mpg and the fresh baked biker were two of my favorites! The mango flavor was perfect with the amount of sour, without being overpowering, and the blueberry lactose was super smooth! If we had more time in town, I think we would come back! We love that this business is biker themed, the merch is stellar!

The service at this brewery is never great, but it was exceptionally bad on our last visit. The bartender gave a horrible pour on a 16oz beer. The amount of head was excessive and made it more like a 12oz pour. We essentially paid $7 for a 12oz pour. When we VERY politely and respectfully asked the bartender to top it off, he rolled his eyes and didn't accommodate. Actually went to say that it is supposed to be like that. A 2in head...uh, no. He was beyond rude. We, along with our friends, would have easily spent over $100 that day, but now we will never spend another cent in this establishment. We are downtown residents and every time we've been here the service has been horrible. This was the last time.

Crank Arm is an exceptional Brew tasting experience. They don't do flights but they will let you taste as many as you like and I did just that. There is outside seating and the inside is so cool. It is like a modern art exhibit with a biking theme. The BEER:Bottom Bracket Belgian Amber 5.6% ABV ... this is a solid Belgian and very deliciousCycle Killer sour pineapple and habanero 4.4% ABV ... this is FIRE both with flavor and hot.Trail Bandit peanut butter chocolate milk stout 6.4% ABV... This is a HIT. If you like delicious stouts you will love this.Holy Smokes smoked porter with habernaro, cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon 5.8% ABV... this one is tricky. It is savory with the heat at the end.Trail Wizard hazy DIPA 8.7%... this one is absolutely wonderful. FiRE!!!West Coaster Brake IPA 7.2% IPA... I recommend this Road Hazard hazy IPA 6.2% ABV ... juicy and delicious My beertender Becky was awesome. When I am back in Raleigh I will definitely stop through. Hopefully by then they will be doing flights.

I've been to Crank Arm a bunch of times, and have always had a great time. The staff is really nice, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and they are dog friendly. They have a Shrute Farms beet flavored beer, and I was interested based on the name but not sure about the flavor. They let me try it, and I ended up liking it and getting a glass. Other people I've been with have also asked to taste, and Crank Arm always is happy to do it.They also have non-beer drinks, Tri-Bucha kombucha, some wine and cocktails. There are a lot of board games, if you wanna play a game and hang out.The location is also really enjoyable for sitting and enjoying being outdoors. I would add that parking nearby can sometimes be hard to find on a weekend night, so keep that in mind!

Good beer. Food is of no significance so do not plan on eating. Service wasGood until distractions occurred. Water is actually horrible. No ice didn't help but I had the water at the hotel and it's horrible too so I'm guessing it's the city. Wow. Really bad almost undrinkable. Ice would help.

Great brewery in downtown Raleigh, NC! A group of us went on Memorial Day as we were showing some out of town guests around Raleigh, NC and this was a great spot to add into our tour. Service was great and the bartenders had great recommendations. Atmosphere was fun and they had games you could play if you wanted! Overall, this is a fun place to go, sit outside, and have a beer!
