Went to cracker barrel with my boyfriend and dad. My boyfriend orders the grandmas sampler (w pancakes) and country ham and I get the cowboys breakfast with country ham... and when it comes out everything's good until i realize my ham is unbelievably salty. I had my boyfriend and dad both try it and they agreed it was unbelievably salty to the point it was inedible. I asked one of the staff members if it was normal and all they said was "no sorry". Besides that the food was okay, everything was ate besides that.

So we just arrived here in Rosenberg and decided to eat here since it was so close to our hotel. The ambiance was a bit country feel with the old nostalgic pictures and trinkets from the past, old pictures and a market of country and throw back candies.The service was excellent. We were seated after a few minutes and attended to in a timely manner with a sweet young man named Jered. After we placed our order he brought us our drinks and corn muffins in orderly fashion, with our dinner soon after. I ordered the chicken pot pie and it was good. A bit blan for me though. I also ordered the friend okra which was delishAll in all was a decent place to try. We probably won't be back there during our stay but Jered did give us 5 star service for sure! Unfortunately had to drop one star for the food quality.

Cracker Barrel never disappoints. I visited this location for dinner. There is a wide variety of food on the menu. However I tend to order the same thing each time because it's so delicious. The fried shrimp dinner is perfect. The portion size is more than enough. I always enjoy their fried apples which can be paired with the biscuits. The waitress was awesome and she did a great job. This is the perfect place for a good meal for a reasonable price.

I don't know what has happened here... but 10 out of 10 do not recommend anymore.I went there today for breakfast. I was VERY SPECIFICALLY craving their hash brown casserole. 15 minutes after I ordered the old timers with crispy bacon, hash brown casserole, and over medium eggs the server comes and tells me they are out of hash brown casserole. It's 10am.... What? So I reluctantly just order regular hash browns (because at this point I'm STARVING). When I get my plate I gave soggy bacon (ordered extra crispy) and it's no longer the thick yummy bacon it looks like microwaveable bacon, my basic hash browns :( and my eggs with the yolks cooked all the way through and stiff so not over medium. Again it took them 15 minutes just to tell me they were out of hash brown casserole so I just cut my losses and ate what they served. But they've clearly gone downhill for some reason so I won't be returning and neither should you.

Greeted as I entered the door and granted I was on the phone for business call the young ladies at the door and the host station were very polite and attentive.Also want to thank the cashier who checked me out. By far the best thing part of todays visit was hosts, Sklyar and Kathryn. Great job laSat down and Skylar let me know she would be with me in a few. Place was pretty busy but of course it's a Sunday. Ordered create your own breakfast and sad to say the cooks seem to not know what to do in the kitchen. Food all together was very bland with no flavor.Steak was ordered medium and cooked well done. Pancakes were very dry.The fried apples and egg whites were fine since there is no way to mess that up. Didn't receive biscuits and gravy but wasn't to eager to have those anyway. Didn't ask for them since I didn't want to waste food. Silver ware have water stains and should be looked at before putting into bags and putting on table, floor could use a sweep and some area needing a mop. Granted the place was crazy busy, management should really prioritize cleanliness.Honestly my 3 stars are specifically for Skylar who was working really hard and yet keep a wonderful smile with every interaction she was having with all the customers. Even after the tray tilted over and a plate fell, she kept her composure and keep moving along. Really happy the customers didn't over react either. Really hope management here sees the hard work this young lady was doing today. Please train and mentor the cooks in the back to stop rushing and over cooking food. Rather you be honest with customers and let them have correctly cooked food than keep returning plates than taking it out on the servers.

Took my 89 yo mom there. I love Cracker Barrel and it is especially liked by seniors because it is a throwback from the past. Food is good and predictable because I go to one near me in Virginia. We ordered the sampler which is a LOT of food. Chicken and dumplings are really good like I remembered as a kid from my grandmother. Greens are good but could have had a bit more flavor. Mac and cheese I would pass on. Runny cheese and bland. Meatloaf is always good and for me brown gravy is a required addition. Bread basket is always refilled and they don't mind if you ask for bread to go. Cracker Barrel has a special place in my heart. If you are into vegan and healthy food you should pass. But the comfort food served here hit the spot.

Ah, Cracker Barrel in Rosenberg, where the lights are as unpredictable as our Texas weather! My recent trip to this shrine of southern comfort ended somewhat anticlimactic in the parking lot, courtesy of a power outage. The staff were out in force, braving the Texas heat mid-day to inform would-be patrons of the electrical snafu before we could even step out of the comfort of our air-conditioned automobiles. I had joined the waitlist online and had spent my 20-minute drive fantasizing about eggs, pancakes, and bacon, to discover that the only thing on the menu was disappointment. A little heads-up in the app would've been sweeter than their blackberry cobbler! It's 2024, folks--surely we can ping a notification when the power is as down as my mood was upon arriving, right?In all fairness, the team handled the situation with grace, proving once again that Southern hospitality isn't just something you find on a sampler platter. But dear Cracker Barrel, while your peg games and country store are charming relics of simpler times, perhaps your digital communication could use a little modern upgrade, Just a thought from a hopeful fan dreaming of hashbrown casseroles without the side of surprise power outages and breakfast blackouts.

Had the Friday Fish special. I was quite disappointed.Menu Online description stipulates 4 COD fillets and pix show normal healthy size fish filletsIn store menu now stipulates generic "whitefish"I have had this Menu item before. all four fish fillets appeared to have come from undernourished anorexic fish -- less than 3/16" thick at most. NOt very appetizing nor filling.Only taste came for the Malt vinegar condiment, or Tartar sauce.Seems the biscuits, & corn bread are smaller too !Shrinkflation in action.Price is up $4+ since last I had this meal.NOt worth $15 , nor is the $3.20 4 day old iced tea.

went to eat today and we were seated took 13 minutes to be waited on and then only after I found someone to help us. we ordered our food at 3:08 and now it is 3:45 and still no food. I have never had this kind of service. can't say anything about food as we are still waiting. Finally got food at 3:50. It was ok. ask for ketchup the young lady brought us a brand new bottle never been open. Don't usually complain but this was crazy. Only 2 tables when we arrived. Never got a refill on tea. I won't be coming back. Other customers are complaining also.
