"We look forward to Padre Pizza every summer while visiting Corpus and it never disappoints. Service and food are always excellent. It's laid back and perfect for a family meal, staff is always accommodating and knowledgeable!"
"Dear reader, I needed pizza . We've just left the beach and I had a hankering for pizza, a Jones even. My wife, looked up the usual suspects in the area , and when she said Authentic New York Pizza, the decision was made. We found this mom and pop establishment nestled off Staples and the Pizza did not disappoint . The waitstaff was courteous and friendly , and we expressed our enjoyment to find a local gem. It's clean , with Italian American decor. We left most happy, and ready to share the word . Until next time , gumshoes. Ciao"

"I currently live in Austin, but anytime I come to the beach I make a stop at Island Italian. The atmosphere and the food are 10/10. They often have local live music which adds even more to the experience. My personal favorites are the Italian salad with their in house made dressing (highly recommend grabbing some to go) , the pizza rolls, and a cannoli martini. The staff are so warm and friendly. I can't recommend this place enough."
"Italian food is universally loved, but unfortunately that has allowed too many purveyors of mediocre pasta and pizza to lower the bar for what gets to pass as Italian. When I find a place that reminds me why I like certain dishes, I feel the need to share; I was immediately smitten by what is happening at Il Forno. We ordered a pizza with shrimp and peppers as a starter for the table to share and it was the kind of pie that I rarely find. There was a debate about the marinara sauce (yes, my friends are also foodies). Was the slight sweetness caused by the peppers or is their basic sauce just less acidic than what most chefs use? That will be a topic for next time as we all loved it... There was even more chatter about the crust - not soggy, not burned, but perfectly cooked. It looked beautiful and tasted like a slice of heaven. For the main course, I ordered Capellini Positano, which has crab, olives, and mozzarella. The server asked if I would like to add another protein, which had not occurred to me, but why not, so I requested shrimp. The portion was big enough for two, but since I was visiting and there was no fridge in my hotel room, I ate it all (great food should never be wasted). We ordered a few desserts to share that included Tiramisu, Night of the Chocolate, and Pistachio Gelato. Even though tiramisu was my favorite (as it usually is), I ate quite a bit of the others as well. I'm happy to see that Il Forno is serving what great Italian food should be and I can't wait for my next visit."
"Food is very good sometimes it can get a little bit but over good food. Ever server i've had there has been very nice. Very cold inside bring a jacket"
"Baked Zita special was fabulous! Overall, the service, food quality & ambience was perfect!"
"We came at an off time, walked in and were greeted by the bar tender. The atmosphere is definitely not your normal restaurant- it has musical instruments for lighting that are really cool. The staff were friendly and the food was fabulous. Definitely glad we stopped by for a late lunch!"
"Great place for pizza and drinks within walking distance of our hotel. My wife and I shared a wild concoction, a big red margarita, a margarita with a bottle of big red turned upside down in it. Sounded wierd to both of us but after the first sip we were hooked. We shared a giant 4 meatball appetizer which was very good. I did all I could to devour half of a joe's meat lover pizza, we ate all the meat off of the remainder of the pie slices. They're decorated up for halloween, this place made us feel like regulars. Nice people and great food and tasty wierd drinks. I had to buy one of their t shirts with legalize marinara across the front. We'll be back."
"After a year away we were back in town and had to make reservation! Upon arriving we were met by Nikki, our star host and waitperson from our last visit. Despite a full house and waiting tables she never showed the stress that exists at such a busy time. She was at our table when we needed her, advising about the menu changes, and even having time to update us on her culinary school classes. "Ask and ye shall receive", is the motto at Bellino's. . My linguini pescatore was perfect with the linguine al dente! My wife asked for and the chef prepared a pasta dish with garlic and pepper. Since our last visit they have opened Mamma Lina next door. Because of a large party the night we went we were unable to be seated over there; however, you can chose from either the traditional or the Italian Comfort food on the Mama Lina menus. We ordered the Arancinette as an appetizer and our son ordered the Pollo al Gorgonzola from the Mama Lina menu. Spectacular flavors and perfectly prepared. It was a tossup as to our favor dessert. The chocolate mousse was amazing light and airy and the tiramisu remains to have a balance of flavors. And of course Nikki surprised us with an Expresso Martini (see my prior review of 7/5/23). I loved the new twist replacing the traditional vodka with bourbon! Francesco, great job keeping us impressed with the food, the service, and the overall ambiance of Bellino's ."
"Driving for Uber Eats I was so thirsty and I went to pay for a bottle of water and he gave it to me free, he was really kind! Thank You! I will be sure to come back with a group of friends to actually pay you back! I appreciate you sir! The kid with the pink hair and the Starbucks hat!!"
"Basil chicken pasta, and tortilla soup! First time here, will be returning, fast service, and very delicious food. Hot in temperature!! Excited to try other items on the menu. #SupportLocal"
"Solid pizza with nostalgic atmosphere. Good draft beer selection. Would definitely go again!"

Let me start off by saying I am a self proclaimed pizza snob! I love a great pizza, don't give me any of that franchise garbage, I won't even subject my dog to franchise pizza bones (crust). I worked all day and then made the 3 hour drive to my vacation home on North Padre Island, needless to say I was tired and just wanted some pizza and a beer. I ordered from Padre Pizza online and the website told me it would be approximately 45 minutes, great I can run and pick up some beer . I immediately hopped in the car to go for beer. Before I could even finish checking out I saw on my camera that the pizza delivery girl was at my door yikes I didn't want my pizza to leave! She called me and I told her I was 2 minutes away please wait for me. She did and I apologized profusely and added some more tip on the check! I ordered the kitchen sink with jalapeños on a regular crust. This pizza didn't not disappoint! The pie was loaded with good quality ingredients! This will be my go to for pizza when I am here and I will tell all my guests about it as well! Add one more Gem to the Island Crown

We found this restaurant by default, and I am so glad we did! They accommodated 28 of us. Let me start with the women who welcomed us was so nice and attentive to our party. All the staff worked hard to get our food and drinks out. Now the pizza, WOW, delicious. We had pasta, calamari, wings, mozzarella sticks and subs. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this pizza spot!

I usually don't come to bj but I decided was why not?! The salad was most white inedible parts , the fries came out cold, the lemon was slimy, and there was something floating in my water. The service was very mid level, not worth the tab.

UM WOW??? First off, what an unassuming building. Like so unassuming that me and my fiancé could not find the front door at first. HA. We chose Catalano's for this week's date night because we were both craving some cheesy carby deliciousness. The mozzarella sticks? *chef's kiss* They had just the right amount of breading to cheese while also having tons of flavor. In addition, the marinara sauce served with the mozz was equally flavorful. Quite possibly the best mozzarella sticks I've had in a looooooooooong time.My fiancé got a heaping portion of the grilled chicken marinara. He never has leftovers and took home half of his food - that's how I know he got a BIG serving. At first, I thought getting chicken on top of spaghetti was a boring choice, however, I had a bite of his chicken with that scrumptious red sauce and changed my mind.I had a spinach calzone and oh my goodness I never thought I would see the day that I was served a dish I would describe as having 'too much cheese.' That being said, it was magnificent. 10/10 would devour again. Shoutout to Joey for taking great care of us and even giving me a fresh batch of marinara to take home with my leftovers (which were excellent the second time around after just a few minutes in the air fryer). We absolutely will be back soon... especially since we have a couple of free bread tokens to use ;)

Living in Houston makes it really hard to find great food. House of rock was decent. Food: two slices of pizza and some wings. The pizza was pretty decent. Kind of reminded me of the pizza I would get from Woolworth as a Kid. The ingredients tasted fresh. The wings were very different. Baked but decent too. Not the best wings or the best pizza but not the worst either. Very middle of the mall pizza and wings. The cookie was decent too. It was all decent. Service was good, quick and fast. The lady over the phone was very sharp and attentive. I could probably give 4 stars but I need some better pizza and wings. Once again if you are in the area stop in and give them a shot. I could have came by on an off day.

Beach to Bay carb load was a success. We tried the closest place to our hotel (Omni). I'm glad I didn't pay attention to some of the reviews. I eat with my eyes and I'm glad we tried this place. The pasta was amazing. It'll be my go to plate for every Beach to Bay I attend. It was exactly what I was hoping for. I devoured it! Pizza was also very good, dough was a little chewy but it definitely hit the spot. The wings were average but I ate them all too . Service was quick and staff was friendly. Building had an old feeling but it was nice.

"Last week my wife and I got to experience something really special. We went to a place called Rigatoni's Italian Restaurant. The food was delicious. The prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was cozy. The staff was so kind and friendly. The owner, Nora, was so very accommodating (even giving us an old bar sign that she wasn't using anymore at no charge). The icing on the cake though was the performance by Hector Gutierrez Sr. He knew so many cool crooner songs, even Nat King Cole's Nature Boy! That's a rare one. He also had some cool country and pop arrangements. I got a bunch of pictures (including the entire menu with prices) and a good video of one of the songs Hector did. Sorry if I messed it up with my singing. I was trying to be quiet but I couldn't help myself. I was just so into it. I can't believe this place has been on Leopard Street for 24 years and I'm just now learning about it! I highly recommend going on a Friday or Saturday, between 6pm-8pm so you can catch Hector's performance. Performance link: https://youtu.be/TFUCsXYwNqw?si=qAinAp8LmiFgFjcD"
"So much bread! My honey tortellini was the best thing I've ever had. My boyfriend was pretty jealous. His lasagna had burnt bits but he still ate everything lol."
"Service was amazing, food was even better, 10/10 will recommend. Stayed past closing and never felt rushed (we didn't stay long) but they were very nice!!"
"I've been coming here for almost 30 years. Absolutely my go to place when we can't think of what to do for dinner. It's where the locals go. Love their pizza! Can't think of one thing I wouldn't recommend. Just had the salmon and veggies tonight. If you're lucky enough not to care about calories, please have a shake. Maybe a brownie too. Come as you are, enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine and visit the sunset ridge shops."
"11/13/2023- They're back open! Service and food is as great as ever. They're in a different part of Rosenberg, but plenty of parking and room to sit. We ordered wings, spaghetti, and a Philly cheese steak. The wings were garlic parm and were fall-off-the-bone tender. Really delicious. Spaghetti was good as always, with the garlic bread on the side as an added bonus. The sandwich was delicious. :) We are so happy to see them back. :)"
"Love the ambiance the food and the history. We love the chicken fried steak and schnitzel and catfish!!"
"I saw an ad a few weeks ago for this place so I saved it and finally decided to stop by for lunch. They have a few specials which I happened to choose from. I got the #1 which includes 2 very Large slices of pizza and a drink for a good price. I'll be honest I could have probably shared just one of these lunch specials. The slices were huge but they were indeed delicious. I love the thin crispy crust. The place is very welcoming and the staff were great. I most definitely will be returning to try something new on the menu."
"Great food and big servings fast great place for lunch or dinner, I always have leftovers. I recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian cuisine lasagna and chicken parmesan"
"I love the calzones it was my first time coming here and it's so cute You go to the counter to order and the staff are so sweet I brought my friends and we had a blast You go back to the counter to get your food but they're so sweet Definitely come here it's so cool"
"We stopped in on a whim coming back up from the Rio Grande Valley - and are we glad we did. We came up State Highway 281 northbound from McAllen, turned right on Hwy 141 and when we pulled into a parking lot to find a place to eat, lo and behold across the street as I looked up my wife goes "What is that? Pizza Parlor?" And so it went.Glad we did - super friendly staff and we each got a personal sized 8" pizza, and it was perfect. Perfect crispness, cheese-sauce-topping ratio was perfect and it was definitely a popular joint. The iced tea was also on point, which is important when you have to get back on the road on a Saturday afternoon on a drive to Houston. From greet to eat and close, Pizza Parlor has it going on with a smile - the owner greeted at the door, we had a lovely waitress, and everything was good the whole way through. I have to also say the decor was quite retro-chic, they had the whole classic car thing going on, a tribute to the 50's when you walk in, and it definitely is a place to enjoy some time, and certainly family-friendly and you get a real "regulars come here" vibe. Definitely worth a trip back in the heart of Kingsville, Texas. While we were there, plenty of to-go orders came and went, so you know the place is truly legit in that aspect, and speaks to the mom-and-pop awesomeness of this gem of a pizza joint in the southern regions of Texas."
"Today was the first time I've been back since COVID. They still don't have indoor dining. My friend told me they were closed permanently. I called and ordered a to go Mexicali. That's when I found out they don't have indoor dining. The sandwich was as good as ever. They do make great pizzas and subs. Old place that has been around for a long time. It must suck to be a college kid in Kingsville and lose one of the go to places."
"The food was really great!! Warm, tasty, very home cooked Italian vibe. Will come back again while in town"
"With this Arctic Cold front, all I wanted to do was cuddle with my cats yesterday. So, I decided to order lunch through Door Dash. I was pleasantly surprised with the perfect comfort food that was delivered from Bubba's 33. It was so good, and satisfying! My cats liked it too. Lol. Who knew I wanted curly chips on my salad? They loaded the mashed potatoes and crispy chicken with creamy gravy as well. The generous portions were much appreciated. I recommend this place if you are looking for some good food."
"Best pizza in Corpus Christi. If you're a foodie and want an authentic excellent experience go here"
"Thank you for opening on Christmas- glad my out of town guest got to enjoy this delicious Pizza! Thank you Janet. Wonderful expansion Recomendó the Ghost"
"Burgers are Great! Kinda reminds me of backyard barbecue style, kinda like Luther's near SAC. Great alternative yet still delicious burgers, they do stand on their own."
"Great nice bistro. Delicious food. Nice ambiance. You can tell that the owner put a lot of thoughts in preparing his/her menu. The choices are very similar to what you will get in a fancy expensive breakfast place ( nicely presented Belgian waffle, eggs benedict etc) or in a franchise sandwich place like Mcallisters. A must try!!! It's a little bit far from where we live but hey you're in the valley. Everywhere is close because of lack of heavy traffic."
"We loved the food, we ordered a triple cheeseburger and it was delicious. The atmosphere was a little scary for the kids. Great food nice friendly staff."
"Best pizza in town...also a darn good pizza anywhere. I get one all the time and it delicious every time"
"Crazy dive location!!Don't pass this location because of the neighborhood or outside appearance. The people are wonderfully friendly and accommodating. I arrived according to the online posting of hours but either that was wrong or someone has updated the company info. The entire restaurant staff arrived about 5:30 and quickly worked to things opened up for a group of customers waiting in the parking lot. I placed my order to go but I thoroughly enjoyed the pie once home and the left overs the next day. My pie was made extra special with added ingredients like peppers (I don't care for peppers)! But I always trust a cook that is a stoner!! Definitely worth trying if you're in town but the Yelp ad doesn't tell you that place is BYOB! So, load up the yeti with ice and some beers of your choice and head over. Some nights there is live music but I didn't see a roster of performers. That might be hit or miss."
"Jalapenos Pizza and Wings was one of the few places that deliver in Laredo, I had a taste for pizza and wings that at least had good reviews. I saw the reviews after I has ordered, which is not my normal way; especially if I have never tried the food. I ordered a medium bbg chicken pizza with a 8 piece side of wings. I was told the order would take 45 minutes to 1 hour, however the driver arrived in about 40 minutes. The driver was friendly and my pizza was above average hot. Here is my verdict from both:Pizza: The medium Pizza ($13.99) was not bad. Fully baked and included all my toppings I requested. For sure it was not the best pizza that I have ever tasted, but overall I would give it at least 3 stars for preparation, toppings and serving size. Mind you, there are cheaper chain alternatives here in Laredo.Wings: The wings were to me were not cooked/fried to my liking. I prefer crispy wings compared to somewhat of a boiled texture. I understand some like the meat softer, but U prefer my wings battered and also have the sauce flavor applied. If they would have prepared them in that manner, U for sure would giving a higher rating. Bottom line verdict: 2 starsConclusion: I would be willing to give this location another try. The pizza was ok, but I will probably not order anymore wings. For $7.99 For 8 pieces is not a good value and are overpriced in my opinion."
"The pizza was acceptable but not really tasty or enjoyable. I asked for extra cheese on both and received almost no sauce and most definitely not extra cheese. Matter of fact, I personally think it had half of what normal cheese would be."
"I was in town for business and on the recommendation of a co-worker came for a late supper. The restaurant wasn't busy at the hour I visited but I am told that it is crowded for breakfast and lunch. The waitress was quick to bring the menus which included an all day brunch menu or a dinner menu. I opted for the dinner menu though there were a lot of tasty looking brunch options. Drinks were quick to follow and calamari was ordered as an appetizer and the chicken piccata was calling my name. We didn't wait long for the calamari which were huge rings fried well with a fantastic marinara dip accompanying. My work partner ordered tortilla soup which looked and smelled wonderful and which he enjoyed. I have had my share of chicken piccata. It's one of my favorite dishes. I have eaten it around the country and across several European countries in well established restaurants. The chicken piccata created here is the absolute best I have ever eaten. The sauce was perfectly thickened with just the right acid levels. Not too many capers. The chicken was moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. Served over house mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus. The serving size was perfect and I was perfectly satisfied with the amount. Let me reiterate. The chicken piccata here is better than I have ever had anywhere. The chef, who we met, is humble and talented. We presented us a tasting of a smoked brisket that he will be serving at another of his restaurants in town. The smoke ring was visible in the slice, the meat was absolutely tender and moist and the flavor explodes. I hope he also decides to offer it at this location too. $35 plus tax and tip for a deliciously cooked meal that I will remember. I will make the drive when I am close to Laredo to eat here again. Everything from service, food, ambiance - Magnolia Cafe & Grill has it. Try it. You'll be pleasantly surprised. I was."
