"Nice unassuming Italian restaurant in Corpus Christi. Marco's does not look like much from the street, but dont miss out. If not for a friend of mine I would have not noticed this place. Macros is serving up made to order pasta, salads, soups, desserts and other Italian fare and it is GOOD. I recommend to pasta bar. You can choose from up to 12 items for your made to order pasta dish. The soups are delicious as well. The staff was friendly and helpful on explaining the menu orders. The atmosphere is nice as well. Definitely not what I expected from the outside but a very nice interior. Certainly a hidden jewel along staples road near downtown Corpus. Marco and catering is going thing right!"
"We returned for a second time to this small but classy restaurant for lunch while on one of our twice yearly trips to the coast. Sometimes the food has changed at some restaurants, and most of the time, not for the better. But the food here was just as good as it was on our first visit. The service was also still superb. I had the chicken salad sandwich and loved it. My husband had the Gen Tso's chicken and said it was very good. It's just a great place to grab a quick lunch and then head back to the beach!!"
"Highlights: nice sitting outside on a mild day, great people sitting around us, friendly staff, very reasonable prices and AMAZINGLY seasoned crawfish. Call first...they are open until they sell out. If you want a more detailed version, keep going. ;-) On our way home from fishing at the coast, we stopped for a late lunch with my daddy. We saw this place last time we were in town, and being the crawfish lovers we are, wanted to try it. Needless to say we were super happy they were open today. Four of us showed up with an ice chest (it's BYOB), ready to roll up our sleeves. They only have outside seating on white plastic picnic tables. Most tables are under a large canopy, but some are in the sun. We were lucky to get under the tent AND it was a pleasant day. You go up to the window and order, sit down and they bring your food. We got a shrimp boil (served in a white clamshell) and six pounds of crawfish (served in double plastic bags inside a big paper bag) . They provide you with boxes for the shells, plenty of paper towels and wet wipes. We loved the set up, people were friendly, great vibe of folks...but we were most concerned with crawfish. We love crawfish, have our own boils, and we're picky. There are only a handful of places we really like in the Austin area, so I was admittedly a little skeptical. Holy mud bugs...the FLAVOR!! After a few bites, we picked up on what was a tad different than our normal crawfish...mustard. Yup...mustard! Don't freak! It was subtle, played well with all the other flavors and we LOVED it. So much we ordered three more pounds AND we're playing with our recipe to incorporate it. They don't offer different spice levels, but no need...the flavor was absolutely perfect with just the right amount of kick. We ordered with potatoes, corn and sausage...worth the extra $. Sausage was VERY good! We're already planning on making it back to Victoria before the end of crawfish season. I typed this on our way back to Austin and the amount of time we've spent talking about what we ate is a great indication of how much we loved it! So go... suck some heads and pinch some tails. You'll be happy."
"Service was impeccable. Lots of diligent young folks working at this establishment and I was impressed. Steak was EXCEPTIONALLY tender and the salad bar was fabulous. No clue what y'all are cluckin about in the comments but I had a fabulous dinner experience! If I'm in bay city anytime soon I absolutely will be back! The fried zucchini was bomb also...."
"Wow! A hidden gem - a hole in the wall - in Corpus Christi. Hidden in the local YWCA. Nice, clean, family run joint - lot of vegetarian option but their Butter Chicken is outstanding. Loved it."
"Amazing fresh food. The serving sizes are very generous. I look forward to eating here again. Service is fast and friendly."
"I was pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed eating here! Everything was seasoned well and fried to perfection. Server was very friendly but she was the only server so it was a little slow, but well worth the wait. I usually try to eat 1/2 of my lunch and take the other half home for dinner, but it was impossible to stop eating. The fried fish was light, crispy & lots of flavor. The chicken tenders and chicken fried chicken were both so tender and juicy with a tasty crunchy batter. All the sides were homemade goodness all around. The only thing I would recommend is the cornbread is served cold and I would ask for it to be warmed next time. It was still a good sweet cornbread and I devoured it. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu."
"I am such a fan, 4.5 stars. The rib sandwiches are as good as it gets.In the parking lot of Wonder World Park, just off old Bishop. We got there Thursday a little after 4pm opening in a downpour so there wasn't a line. The day's special--written on a white board--was an alligator po boy and Mr R had never had alligator so that was easy. For myself I chose the soulful catfish bites from the menu at the window (he posts the week's menu on FB, although I didn't see sides mentioned). As sides I chose sweet potato fries and okra, for dessert the blueberry cobbler. One lemonade and one sweet tea.Lord, it was tasty. The gator po boy had a soft white sub roll, untoasted, with iceberg, pickles and tomatoes. The gator chunks were about 1.5 to 2x the size of chicken nuggets, with a perfect crunchy coating and not greasy. The meat was not dry, the flavor was good. The catfish bites were a little smaller than the gator chunks, and with the most perfectly seasoned, crisp, ungreasy, cornmeal coating. The fish was cooked perfectly and couldn't have been hotter/fresher out of the kitchen. The sweet potato fries were lightly salted, cooked expertly and came in a generous pile. The okra came in a light batter and tasted so fresh and green--Mr R fell in love with them (he'd only had okra boiled/wet before), but also blasphemed them with ketchup because he's a terrible person. Each plate came with ketchup, tartar sauce (more like mayo, really), and hot sauce. Two packets of each condiment for each plate which was more than we used. The cobbler. OH! The cobbler. He'd upsized it as a kindness for us, and I still don't know how exactly he made the sugary crunchy cobbler bits as half of them *still* had powerful crunch this morning after sitting overnight. The blueberry part was lovely jammy sticky but not over sweet. It was a wonderful dessert yesterday and a fabulous breakfast this morning. My single point of retraction? The now-moved-on LeStourgeon had the superior po boy set up (in my nascent opinion) with toasty bread and more produce to include romaine, onion and avocado plus a schmear of mayo. That's it, outside of that this meal was perfection. It's not cheap, the wait's never been excessive, it is WORTH it.Forgot to mention he also had a table/chairs set up under a tent which is a nice alternative to eating in your car if you can't wait to get home with good food."
"We went to a pumpkin patch with our little bit and we were hungry. Came across this BBQ restaurant and stopped. The menu was huge and in I mean, I would read it very well! I only wanted a quarter pound of thinly sliced turkey and a person creamed corn. The turkey was good, but not thinly sliced. The corn was delicious. Like home-cooked. Hubs had fried Catfish and Coleslaw. The Catfish was good per hubs and the Coleslaw too. The service is counterstrike to order, but bring it to you at the table. The ambiance like a hunting lodge. The stuffed dead animal were everywhere. Our little bit was ok after we explained they weren't only to "get" her. The place is busy, but itBBQ. only ok BBQ. Corn was great."
"First off, freakin AWESOME taco! I ordered the arrachera, it was delicious, cheesy, goodness. Meat was cooked perfectly, and that sauce, man that was good. Yes, taco did cost $7. In my humble, honest opinion, maybe just a tad bit overpriced. Will that stop me from coming again, HECK no. The concept is literally like in he name, walk up to he house, order from a window, sir in their backyard and wait for your delicious food to be ready. You can tell food is cooked to order. Took just a few minutes, but again, DELISH! I did come on a 99 degree day, but with the shade, it was bearable, (I mean, I'm a Texas boy born and raised, I'm used to the heat). I can totally see the place jam packed in the fall and spring times. Keep up the great work guys. I will definitely return. You must try it out."
"Haus Cuisine provides an elevated private dining experience! Chef Michael Mansfield is fantastic!"
"We chose Water Street to cater our wedding a few years ago and there was very little they did right. Firstly, food was served before anyone arrived and was cold by the time our guests began to eat. They were suppose to bring 2 kegs of beer to the event, however they "couldn't open them" so they bought bottled beer instead. This would have been fine if they bough the equivalent of 2 kegs, but they didn't do beer was in short supply. We had the venue until midnight and they began pulling the plug at 11:15 because clearly they were running the show and not the venue. It just seemed like the person in charge had a hot date that night and was trying to get out of there. Had I know we were inconveniencing them, I would have chosen anyone else... like McDonalds. Unprofessional, overpriced and shambolic."

One of the best chef's in town. Try their tomato basil soup! It will make your knees week. Their pasta is amazing too. I've never been disappointed with Marco's! They have excellent prices, amazing food and are extremely professional! A++++

We booked K-2 for an event for 50+ people, and they did a phenomenal job taking care of us. Service was very smooth and our servers were attentive of our needs. I ordered the filet mignon with fried zucchini and skillet potatoes. The filet mignon was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The sides were slightly lacking in flavor, and the potatoes were too mushy for my liking. The cake slices were huge and will definitely fill up that extra room for dessert.

Delicious, every time we eat here they give us fresh hot food and by the time I get to my house in La vernia it seems like I just ordered and got it. I strongly recommend them. The rice and pork is so much that can feed 2-3 people. The adobo plate with the lumpia and noodles is delicious.

The food was delicious, seasoned perfectly. I had the catfish, spaghetti green beans but the side of macaroni and cheese and cornbread also known as Mama's plate. The corn bread was moist and sweet, the catfish was large and flaky on the inside and fried crispy outside. The premium mac and cheese was delicious also. Their service was very friendly and very attentive. I would love to go back to try something else. I believe they even have live music on certain nights. Someone else at our table had chicken strips which he said were very good too. Keep up the good work R&B.

Had my first taste of Texas BBQ here and Keme's did not disappoint. Saw him outside of the Wonderworld Park, and the family and I just had to try it. The wife placed the order and said that the owner was super-friendly, personable, and quick to make our order. We tried a little bit of everything. Brisket sandwich, sausage, and pork ribs. It was all delicious. The brisket was so tender and juicy, and complimented well in a sandwich. The sausage and ribs were also very tasty. Two thumbs up for Keme's. If in the area and in the mood food for some bomb BBQ, definitely give him a try!

"They are open for lunch and we came while visiting family. The food was wonderful and staff was so sweet. Don't miss the poblano soup."
"For the past 3 years I have been invited to a large Christmas party. Jack's Dinner Bell has been catering the party for years, I've been told. The last two years we ate before going to the party because the food is terrible. There is a group of us who meet beforehand to eat. We have finally drawn straws for who gets to tell the host how bad the food really is and suggest a different caterer. The display is always lovely but that doesn't make for good food."
"The fruit cups are so good very fresh fruit very nice small place where you can go and sit down and eat as well have lunch specials I ordered a cheeseburger that was very good highly recommend stopping here for fruit cup"
"Ernie makes the best food!!! He is our go-to caterer!! He goes above and beyond for his customers!"
"This is a good truck called Betty Jeans Cajun Cuisine located at Katy-Hockley Cut Off at Erma Rose Winery. This food truck has amazing food at the best prices! I ordered the 4 pc chicken wings -$8 and upgraded the fries to Mardi Gras fries which consisted of an Alfredo sauce sausage, chicken, and shrimp for an additional $4. Total for two orders came out ti $25 tax included. It was the best $25 spent! Food had soo much flavor and was soo fulfilling for the price! I had went earlier that day to another food truck for lunch, spent double the price and was under impressed. The wait was long as there were 10 orders in front of me but it was worth the wait. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely return!"
"Do you like Cajun food, cause I'm from south Louisiana and wendell's is it. Personally the gumbo is on point, and the poboys are fantastic. I have no complaints and will keep bringing people"
"Delicious BBQ! And their chicken salad is LEGIT!! Love it here. My favorite is definitely the chicken salad, but the brisket and ribs are my second choice for sure."
"Great catering service. The staff is really friendly and courteous and the food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend."
"This is a fairly new place so have a few new business bumps but don't sleep on it. The fare is farm to table focused. No set menu yet so call ahead for the offerings. But dang. The dishes were amazing. The crab cakes were simply crave inducing. I mean scrape the salad they were served on good. My party had the cheek meat (served slow cooked with carrots and placed on amazing creamy mashed potatoes), the lamb ragout (sweetly delicate on a bed of creamy AF polenta), and the pumpkin risotto (actually tasted of roasted pumpkin and topped with delicious local cheese). Everything we had was 5 stars easily and served attentively. This place is absolutely a date night place or just when you want a really good meal. BYOB still so bring your wine if you want it."
"Another hidden gem, seriously great carnitas and barbacoa including the salsas, tortillas and curtidos, Michoacán style you cannot go wrong with this place great customer service from the owners very knowledgeable and friendly free taco as soon you walk in!"
"Omg this place is SOOOO good! Yum!! I love everything that I have tried. The rub I bought and use on everything u cook!"
"This was amazing! I'm a carnivore so I am usually not impressed with low flavor. This place had flavor at a new level. The place is really cute and soft and inviting. Perfect date night place. The whole building is very interesting and worth a tour."
"Great food and plenty of it!!! Service A+++ friendly. So impressed. Highly recommended"
"We attended a neighborhood event that Big 6 catered. We're glad we went because Big 6 was very good and we got to meet a lot of our neighbors, very nice people. The brisket was very tender and oh so tasty, the sausage and the chicken drum stick was just as good, the beans and tater salad were very good. Now I need to visit their food trailer, they're bookmarked already."
"We went for our first visit this past weekend while in town visiting family. Crawfish were okay. It's early so we totally expected smallish bugs, but we were surprised with 75%. Of them being somewhat decent sized. We just were not crazy about the flavor, but understand that's really subjective to a lot of folks. Also, the shells were kind of mushy and meat hard to get out, so not sure if they were pre-boiled? I will say it's a great spot with lots of room, including a spot inside for shade (will be great when it heats up) and a large outdoor area to accommodate a lot of folks."
"That burger was awesome. Bacon cheese lettuce tomato pickles. Cooked perfectly. Good bun. And those chips..... This is good stuff. Doesn't hurt that it's onsite of a great brewery."
"I've been coming to Schultze BBQ for over 20 years. This used to be my go to BBQ place because I love their sauce (a sweet Memphis style) and they are close to my parents house. However, I have become less enthusiastic about Schultze over the last few years. My first issue was that their quality and serving sizes had been dwindling but the last straw as the fact that they charged me extra to put BBQ on the side. I did not ask for extra, just that they put the sauce that would have been on the sandwich anyways in a small container in the to go bag so that my sandwich was not soggy when I got home. Goodbye Schultze, I'm going to Swinging doorSide note: the new buttered brioche buns are nice in theory but all I could taste was the bun. Smoked meat is normally a strong flavor but that bun overpowered the flavor of the meat and sauce."
"We ordered homemad Khao Piek Sen, and it was delicious!!! You can tell she homemade them, the packaging was superb. She put packaging per serving that was enough for 2. These Khao Piek Sen are not easy to be made, you have to know how to make!! The owner, Ms Karyn also super nice. She will accomodate your need and go extra mile for it. We will definitely order from Simply Lao again!!!"
"I love love love this place, everything we ordered was made with love and we can tell! The owner is amazing! Do not sleep on the grits they are the best I've had!! The shrimp was made to perfection not over cooked and the boudin balls were scrumptious and ever so tender my son fell in love with the wings and catfish paired with the red sauce. My husband was addicted to the catfish with dirty rice. And man that po boy was so soft and flaky #hurrybacknow"
"Very well put together spot that does its predecessor justice. Great bagel sandwiches, and some tasty salads. The vibe is great and there is plenty of variety. Swing by."
"Meh. I definitely experienced better. This was sub par everything, except the fried okra. Flavor was off on the beans, mac and cheese bland af. BBQ bland and really not flavor full, more like oven baked, in my opinion. Sausage was so horrible sampling a couple of slices we threw the rest of the pound away, along with the beans and mac. I was so wanting to like this place, especially since there's a convenient drive-thru, but I pretty positive this place is on the no go back list."
"Have to give a shout out to USS Chefs (which also operates The Galley Restaurant). They catered an event for us and did a marvelous job! Zelina communicated extensively leading up to the event, made sure every menu item was fresh and delicious, had attentive servers, made repeated rounds to pick up trash, and kept the kitchen spotless the whole night. Tremendous job! Thanks for giving us a stress-free night."
"We chose Trisha and River City Catering for our wedding immediately after our first meeting. Their menu selection rivaled every company we spoke to in Austin and their prices are fair, but Trish was what really sealed the deal. I needed to be able to trust our caterer to shoot me straight, and withing minutes of meeting Trisha we knew we could trust her to be honest and cool under pressure. I felt like we were her only clients, and that gave us so much confidence going into our big day. Trish truly worked to understand our vision and helped us create a plan that met all of our needs. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We created stations that consisted of a grazing table with amazing meats and cheeses, sliders, Frito pies, mac and cheese, smores, and hot chocolate for our 300-guest wedding. Everything tasted delicious and the customer service was top-notch. I cannot express how perfect our wedding was because of Trisha and the RCC crew. Thank you for all of your hard work!"
