"I ordered coffee and their peanut butter pie covered in chocolate. Good for those with sweet tooth and loves peanut butter. But recommend to share with someone. Too sweet to finish all by yourself. Support local businesses. This is one of them. Charming little place that also sell some cute knick knacks."
"Came here as a result of seeing it on an episode of "The Day Tripper". Can only speak for the (to go) small pies since I didn't eat there. So far the strawberry rhubarb and Dutch apple were fantastic... heated at 350 degrees for 20+ minutes. Looking forward to trying the peach and cherry. UPDATE: The peach and cherry were excellent. I think my order of enjoyment was: strawberry rhubarb, cherry, apple, peach. Reasonable prices. Liked the ability to buy multiple small pies at $6 a piece instead of one big pie at $26. UPDATE: Upon arriving back to Dallas, I tried the strawberry rhubarb pie from USA TODAY's #5 Pie Shop in America (Grapevine, Texas). Texas Pie Company's crust is better but the #5's strawberry rhubarb filling was slightly better with slightly more sweet / tangy taste. If prices were similar, #5 spot would have just squeaked over as "the best" of the two but since their small pies are $17 and regular pies $45, Texas Pie Company has the edge. If only they were closer! The service was just "eh", probably judged a bit more harshly after seeing the engaging owner (Julie) on Daytripper who was no where to be found on my visit. Just folks (efficiently) going thru the motions. Nothing special. Great facade on the building exterior. Good addition to the city of Kyle."
"We can were for a birthday brunch and it was very disappointing, largely due to the service. The restaurant itself is very dated, doesn't appear very clean, plus the general furnishings are unimpressive and not very comfortable. The food was decent, that was the reason the rating was 3 stars. I had the Chesapeake eggs which was tasty. Our server was the issue. While she was pleasant, she simply didn't listen and messed up the orders, then took over 30 minutes to get the check right. This place follows the trend of restaurants in Corpus Christi with 4 star prices and 3 star experiences."
"Delish freshly baked cinnamon rolls and koloches. Wowzer!!!Friendly service too. Yum. Yum Yum!Can't wait to go back. Next time I'm also getting some to go, also!!"
"This café is absolutely delightful! The presentation is charming, and every bite feels like it was crafted in the clouds. The textures--from the pasta salad to the peanut butter chocolate chip muffin--were amazing. I also appreciate that they offer vegetarian options even though I'm pescatarian - some times I do want cheese and veggies! I love their "life's short, eat the cookies" sign. I AGREE.The atmosphere is adorable, and I'd happily return. Parking is a bit limited, but street parking should work fine. It's such a sweet spot, perfect for anyone visiting Corpus Christi. Definitely stop by and support local businesses!"
"So I found myself looking for a decent meal after yet another day/evening of merchandising work out in Lake Jackson. I stumbled upon this place while browsing the available options and curiosity got the better of me.There was a relatively sparse crowd for a Saturday night, yet I didn't get even get the slightest of weird looks for walking in as a solo diner. Now at this establishment, the pairing of vegetables to the dish is fixed and substitutions aren't allowed. I decided to try the chicken fried steak, which happens to be paired with mashed potatoes and green beans, despite the fact I'm not a huge green beans fan.The chicken fried steak was excellent. The mashed potatoes are superb as well. The green beans are absolutely amazing, perhaps the best to be found in the greater Houston area.Despite the prices running a bit higher than I had originally planned to spend on dinner this trip, I think I have found a new favorite restaurant when I'm in Lake Jackson and I hope to be back soon."
"UPDATE: They've significantly raised prices since last year. $3 more for the smallish portions that they previously provided for breakfast. We'll come periodically because the wife likes their almond pastry for breakfast but $10 for Huevos a la Mexicana is overpriced for the area. Quality is still good. Portions small."
"I purchased a cake for my grandsons 4th birthday, I'm in CALIFORNIA, saw their website in Texas, thought I'd take a chance.. I WAS HAPPILY PLEASED WITH THIER CAKE AND CUPCAKES. Cake was delicious, cupcake soft and tasty( Kids loved them) . If you need a delicious bakery, this is the one to use, we ordered Power Rangers! It was exactly how we wanted! We will definitely keep this bakery on speed dial"
"I went for the first time with my coworkers today and we all stared at the menu for so long because literally every single thing sounded so good! And it was! I got a spicy chicken wrap and my coworkers all got paninis and it was a 10 out of 10, everyone loved it. Excellent atmosphere and the best customer service too! I will definitely be going back :D"
"We love this place. The breakfast is awesome. The lunch specials are excellent and the tacos hit the spot. Can't go wrong."
"Do yourself a favor a check this place out! Amazing cupcakes, I especially love the banana pudding and honey, and creamsicle ones! Also their croissant sandwiches are Amazing!!!Not to mention they give back to the community! I come here regularly when I'm in town for work!"

My girlfriend really wanted to try this place, since she saw that the owner was on a television show she liked. We decided to try it out since we were in the area. The place is in downtown area and is easy to find with decent parking.Once inside you get a nice little cafe vibe with the sweet smell of various sweets in the air. The employees are cheerful and the rush of excitement hits you with all the options to choose from. There is so much to choose from and the employees are very helpful with the description of each sweet. There is also coffee and other drinks to choose from and the selections are vast. The only small downfall is that it is pricey, and the to go boxes are huge! So be prepared. Other than that we do come here often to try all the variety of sweets.

Yes this place is as good or better than the pictures. Easily one of the best if not the best food option in all of Corpus Christi. The croissants are Ridiculous. Best I have ever had including Paris. It's literally a sin coming here and not ordering a croissantThe service is top notch and beyond friendly and the ambience is beautiful. This time I got the breakfast sandwich bacon egg (over easy) and cheese of course on a croissant. Wifey ordered an eggs Benedict but did a double swap on the ham for bacon and muffin for one of their Epic Croissants. Both of us were blown away. We even got a dessert croissant to go. Our son loved crawling around the place and the beautiful rose wall. Overall it was a major family win of a meal. And ohhh yes we DEFINITELY will be back

Cinnamon Rolllllllsss Time!!! Wooohooooo!I had a craving for cinnamon rolls and stumbled upon this place using Yelp. Yaaaaay! The pictures made the cinnamon rolls look yum!!If you like traditional cinnamon rolls, this is the place to be.Location: Facing highway 59 in a shopping center with a few other businesses, Cinnamons bakery is a street facing business. You will be able to see it from the highway! The Ambiance: This bakery gave me a vintage-style mom and pop feel. As if this were 30 years ago, it would be booming with people waiting for their fresh baked cinnamon roll to come out of the oven. Unfortunately, the day I went to try it out, it was extremely HOT in the bakery. It felt like an oven in there. The nice lady behind the counter explained of the air conditioning issues and apologized. She was so sweet!! Unexpected things happen... I get it!!! Food: I ordered Cinnamon Rolls and Sticky Buns. They were warm when I got them. It is best to eat them warm. I accidentally let one of the rolls get cold and tried to reheat and it just didn't taste the same. These are definitely not grocery store cinnamon rolls, they taste better than that, but they are not the best I've had either. Parking: The bakery is located in a shopping center with several other businesses. However the shopping center is located within a much larger strip mall, so there will always be a spot available for you.Service: The Service was great! You were greeted with a smile as you walked in. In essence, this place is cute with its old charm. It could use a bit of updating, but all in all is still cute.

"Best kolaches around! Get there early or you'll miss out. We hit the drive thru. Got my favorites, pineapple & blue berry. Delicious and worth the extra drive off I-10."
"Finally a bakery that sells more than cupcakes in Eagle Pass! I had read great reviews on Facebook and was surprised they didn't have a yelp yet. The shop is a remodeled house that goes for a rustic/modern approach. The house is very clean and very well lit with a bunch of natural lighting. I ordered quite a bit of everything they had available. I got a chocolate chip cookie, a banana bread, a peanut butter and jelly oatmeal cookie, a blueberry tart and a honey mint green tea. Everything came out to a total of about 13 dollars which I though was extremely reasonable. My favorite by far was the peanut butter and jelly oatmeal cookie, it sounds like an overload of flavor but it actually makes a great combination! Everything else was very good, the chocolate chip cookie was very fluffy and filled with chocolate chips! The green tea was good, although it seemed a little bit diluted with the ice. They nailed the sugar content but it could use a stronger flavor. The only downside I had was that the option availability did seem scarce. But! They are fairly new in town and I'm sure their getting used to the demand. I must add, all of the products seemed and tased very fresh. I believe I saw an espresso machine, so I hope their drinks are espresso based! Can't wait to try it out!"
"An absolutely solid choice to go get a slice of cheesecake, they had plenty of flavor options! I tried the strawberry cheesecake and it was fantastic, the strawberry's and the sauce weren't overly sweet and they tasted fresh. The cheesecake itself was smooth and delicious. I would recommend visiting!"
"I hadn't been to Bolillos in a few months as I'm not a local but this place never disappoints, food is absolutely delicious ( everything I've tried to this day is so tasteful) my favorite is the poblano chicken, atmosphere is great and service is always top notch."
"When COVID first made finding bread impossible a friend told me about New World. Now my whole family is obsessed. Their Baurenbrot and Jewish Rye are our favorites. They are a family owned business and have gone above and beyond for their customers. During this last week of freezing cold and power outages they have stayed late and even opened on Saturday to make sure everyone was able to get some fresh bread. I highly recommend everything they have... and if you have a sweet tooth try their chocolate croissants."
"Crumbl in New Braunfels.....yeah! My kiddo loves their cookies but I've never tried it before. Stopped by for the first time and we were in and out in no time. I did order online so that helped a lot. We ordered a 4 pack box that included chocolate chip, chocolate cupcake, triple berry cobbler and the classic pink sugar. All flavors were warm except for the classic pink sugar which was surprisingly cold and my least liked flavor but my kiddo's favorite which worked out well for my husband and I. We ranked triple berry cobbler as the best, followed by chocolate chip, chocolate cupcake and classic pink sugar. The location is right next to Tia's tacos. It's logo is easy to miss so when you see Tia's, you know you're in the right spot. They change their flavors every week so I'm going to have to workout harder before the new flavors come out."
"There really aren't enough good words to say about this bakery. They did both my wedding and grooms cake and they were so phenomenal everyone raved about them. They are more expensive then some of the other bakeries in town but are so worth it!"
"OMG, this business is legit! I placed another order because we had such a great experience a few years ago. Usually when a business does a grat job the first time your expectations going forward are typically higher than the business can achieve. I have no idea how Marriah, Rhonda, and the team do it but they manage to continue to exceed every expectation I have. I ordered an Italian cream cake with Bavarian cream for the filling. This was based on their recommendation. The cake looked amazing and tasted even better than it looked. The Bavarian cream kept the cake from being too sweet and completely complimented the other flavor as suggested. They communicated extremely well and were very timely in answering my questions. I recomm this business / team to anyone who wants great service, food, and an outstanding experience. Thank you Cakes Couture! You really made my wife's birthday special."
"Service was quick, however I went during the early morning hours. The donuts were so good and the small coffee was way bigger than I expected."
"Okay, I am going with four stars but if I were rating the donuts and sandwiches, they would have 5 stars. But, I had the misfortune of listening to my dad who goes here every Saturday. I told him I wanted a Breakfast Burrito. He insisted I get it from this place. So along with the donuts, I got two breakfast taco's. Two bites into the first one and into the trash they went. I thought it was going to take a brillo pad to get the flavor out of my mouth...nasty. So, do not go to an Asian owned donut place to get a breakfast burrito/taco. That is the big lesson here. You go there to get their amazing donuts."
"I was tempted to give them just 4 stars since their barbecue didn't quite meet the same level of deliciousness as their Columbus location (http://www.yelp.com/biz/mikeskas-bar-b-q-columbus#hrid:m1bQJ1cgxLMBdv-887V6fw), but after trying their jerky, I just can't bring myself to do it. We ended up getting the peppered turkey jerky and I kid you not--the best jerky I've had in my life. The jerky is made of some great, chunky slices of turkey and is nice and spicy in the back of the throat. The meat has that nice chewiness that you expect from jerky without being rock hard (I hate worrying if I'm going to lose a tooth by gnawing on some good jerky!)--all part of the appeal. The ribs were really, really good, but just not as life changing as the Columbus location. The meat was incredibly tender, but I just felt like the seasoning was a bit off. This location is enormous and with plenty to choose from. We also walked away with some cheese bread and poppy seed bread--both of which were phenomenal. You could tell it was freshly made and it took quite a bit of self restraint not to gobble it all down immediately.Since this is on the road to visiting the in-laws, I have a feeling that this will be our staple stop on the 7 hour drive. They have all the stuffed animals around, though it isn't as overwhelming as the Columbus store, mostly because of the size of this place. If you're not in cammo, expect to feel a little out of place here."
"The food is always fresh and delicious. The owner Jacob is always making sure everything is perfect! Definitely check them out!"
"My family and I were first timers here a few days ago. The staff is nice and the selection is great. I had gotten a pumpkin empanada and it was good. I'll be coming here again"
"Love their cookies they offer gluten free and vegan cookies if you are interested. I tried all the varieties and all were good."
"The tomato basil quiche is excellent, it tastes like a pizza. Fabulous salad made with nutritious greens and delicious raspberry dressing. Top notch service. Michelle is very warm and welcoming."
"Got to try their mouth watering bread at a school function and OMG! it's hard to resist going for a second piece."
"Oh my! These cookies are served up hot and warm. I placed my order for a dozen cookies. 2 of each on the menu today. I was in line to order on the kiosk assuming that was where I needed to be. A cashier very helpfully offered to take my order. You can see all the workers energetically working in the background. This environment made the store feel active and energetic. There were only me and one other customer yet my order took surprisingly long to fulfill. The group of ladies I shared these cookies with loved them and I passed on where this new store was located.I'll be back. And they seem to have a smaller cookies although I didn't notice when I ordered."
"will never be back ... im sure they dont care but i need to say it anyways ... what a waste of business ... i wish i could take the one star away but i have to give it in order to post this"
"When I asked my daughter how the cake tasted she responded saying it wasn't that good. I had a bad experience this time, I understood that businesses are busiest during the holidays. But this entire experience was bad. From the communication/lack of response , asking for pictures and not getting the picture of the cake when she said she would send it shortly. Then charging my daughter when I already paid for the balance- and I was shocked at the price I paid for the size. I've ordered her cakes in the past and they were bigger and more detailed but I didn't pay $120.00 and they tasted great. I messaged the night before to confirm my order but no response, not even the next day."
"Be sure to double-check your order before leaving. After spending $30 on cookies, I was frustrated to find that my order was incorrect. I called ahead on my way back to the store, hoping they could start correcting the order so I wouldn't have to wait another 20 minutes or stand in line again. However, the manager informed me that I would need to return to the store so they could review their security cameras to confirm the mistake. When I arrived, the manager appeared to review the footage but then told me I needed to bring the box inside for further verification. This was both inconvenient and unnecessary. I expressed my frustration, but she explained that this policy was in place because "they were used to customers lying for free cookies."Frankly, this response was insulting and unprofessional. Mistakes happen, but making your customers jump through hoops and treating them like potential scammers is unacceptable.Ridiculous. I won't be returning to this location."
