Cornerstone Tavern

I generally only write reviews for bad service or if a establishment goes above and beyond.Cornerstone is one of the better bars in Raleigh. The line can be intimidating but actually moves really fast. Often quite crowded, they manage to handle it really well with plenty of good bartenders. You also have three houses to choose from, each catering to different genre of music.They have a dress code, but it is appropriate and enforced fairly. Discrimination and hatred is not part of the culture which makes for it to be a good time. Always a good spot on the weekends. I highly recommend going and enjoying time with your friends any time of the year.

This place is pretty casual about being very racist. Sad. The rules change regularly to accommodate a very white clientele. I'm white btw.

Went on a Monday around 11:30pm for a last drink after karaoke (up the street) before heading home. Bartender Kahlil remembered me from months ago when I had been in there once. Very impressive! Lots of sports screens and energizing music. As an older lady I felt a sense of safety in this place which is why I passed by other places and stopped in there. Kahlil confirmed it. Give him a raise!

Discriminates against disabled people.... went there tonight with a group of friends hoping to have a drink and spend some time hanging out there was outdoor seating and a live band.... however they would not even let us in because I had my service dog with me... she is fully trained and goes everywhere with me to include concerts ( with her protective gear of course) but tonight someone who has never met me or my SD decided their opinions of what my dog could be around outweighed federal law... highly disappointed

I am writing to bring to your attention the appalling discrimination experienced by individuals of color at your establishment. On multiple occasions, my group has been unjustly denied entry based on their skin color and fabricated reasons. Last night, my sister was unfairly turned away under the false pretense of intoxication, simply because she couldn't locate her ID promptly. Such discriminatory practices are unacceptable and tarnish your business's reputation. I urge you to address these issues immediately and ensure that all patrons are treated fairly and equally. We will not be supporting your business until these matters are rectified. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE BLACK !!!!

Went last night with a friend. Got in just fine at the start of the night. Left and came back later and suddenly, I didn't meet dress code and was forcibly removed from the line. Pretty sure it was racially motivated.

People pick pocket here and it's way to many ppl you can even move and the drinks are overpriced

Literally did not get allowed inside for the "designs" on my pants... I'm not wearing anything vulgar or derogatory. It's okay, they won't have to worry about me coming back again, I've heard several stories about racial incidents from this establishment before mine and unfortunately gave them too much of my own time + money before it happened to myself. Never again.

Don't go if you you're a MAN and have ripped jeans. Women are fine to wear ripped jeans. They try to make it out like they are a "high end" establishment but in reality it's just a trashy bar. There's no signs posted about dress code or anything on their website so just beware.

Very shady establishment in downtown Raleigh. Bouncers were very rude and pushy. There were also multiple fights that broke out between the bouncers and other people. My party noticed multiple people who were stumbling drunk/couldn't form sentences, but the bartenders still served them. If it's a Friday/Saturday, good luck getting a drink or going to use the restroom. They don't limit the amount of people that can come in, so you have to wade through large groups of people to get anywhere. Just generally felt very unsafe the whole time I was there. Spend your money at a different club like Alchemy or Legends, because this place ain't it.
