The food is always good here but the service is the worse the lady was serving me stop serving me and gave someone else their food fixed her food and told her don't worry about it she could pay later in the middle of taking my order then she got an attitude with me because she couldn't give me information about their food as if I was bothering her when I say this is a great location food wise their food is awesome the service is shit. Also there was a line her friend walked in she stopped again to serve her friend where did the back got the food in the middle of my order there's three other people waiting they came in before this woman eventually your business is going to close you cannot treat people that way I spent $30 there and I normally spend $40 so I'm wasting my money because my money means nothing because I'm not friends with the lady rolling her eyes the whole time she's taking my order she didn't have jerk porkShe didn't have brown stew gravy then I asked her what options and she gets even more of an attitude with me all this is listed on their menu again their food is awesome this particular person she never should be in your front this is not my first time experience experiencing her horrible customer service I have to stress that she literally walked out in serving me to serve her friend and there's three other people waiting I've been going there since the 90s I probably won't go back at this point and I pray that these owners read this I come there and I buy your cake your food your soup weekly and spend 30 $40 when I go in there

They have fallen off considerably. I previously rated them 5 stars months ago but it's changed. This was my go to spot for curry goat. For the past 2 visits(approximate 2 weeks apart) the curry goat just wasn't as good. The quality of the meat currently being served is a lower grade with more fat & gristle. The actual meat that you encountered was also not as tender. The cabbage was good and perfectly cook. The rice and peas is average. I will not be returning for a awhile and that's if I decide to return at all. My apologies for not having a picture.

The food here is tasty but needs work on customer service and lunch special portion size. They offer a very good lunch special deal for $4.50, but it's more like a snack lol. They give you very small amounts of meat with your meal which to me defeats the purpose of calling it a "deal". I grabbed lunch today..ordered a curry chicken lunch special.I was only given three very small pieces of chicken, very disappointed.I think this business has a lot of potential but doesn't seem like it's run properly. I hope the owner can make the necessary changes to improve the quality and the service being given here because it lacks alot. I hope this review is an eye opener for improvement.

I would give it 5 stars but the lady behind the counter wasn't the nicest. With that being said the food was outstanding. I ordered the large oxtail. I've had it at a soul food restaurant where I live and it was good, but this was the bomb. I ordered the large and while I didn't think it would be enough, I was wrong. Along with the rice and beans with gravy totally awesome. The salad on the side helped to cleanse the pallet until I pushed it into the wonderful tasting gravy. All I all a great meal.

Small hole in the wall place serving Solid Caribbean/Jamaican food. On the Corner of Palm Avenue and Miramar Parkway, In the heart of the Caribbean Community in South Florida. Telling that there is a Golden Krust restaurant in the same strip mall and at least 3 to 4 more Caribbean restaurants within 3 miles. Went for lunch and for $8 got a huuuge serving of Jerk Chicken and dirty rice. Tasted very good, Fairly priced, friendly staff, and large portiions. I have to believe that all of the other Caribbean staples are just as good. 4 stars and a "Ya Mon".

Restaurant smells like reheated old food. After you complete your order, the way the curry chicken looked and smelled confirms this. The chicken even smelled a bit stinky. I had to throw it out ! I'm pretty sure the food is not fresh and will never go back. What a terrible experience and waste of money. Very dissatisfying. Also everyone behind the counter seems to be moving at terribly slow speeds.

Leslie T. Please don't spread lies about discrimination. You were not even present in the restaurant when your dog was. Customers have a right to feel comfortable and safe, and one of them simply inquired about the dog being in the restaurant. No one asked your daughter to leave, only if it was in fact a service dog and that she please step away from where the food was being prepared. She was then free to continue placing her order. Calling a place of business and asking the owner to tell other customers to "mind their own business" is what was rude.

I've been a customer of Cool Runnings for years!! Authentic Jamaican food ( oxtails the best)!! However it does appear that a bad attitude is a requirement to work at the counter. In the past couple months it appears that either the chef has changed or management..or both. Jerk chicken is like baked chicken and brown stew chicken is tasteless. Sad to say that I have to cut ties with my favorite restaurant.

I have to give credit where credit is due and I must say that Cool Runnings have great ox tails. I have been to several other Jamaican restaurants in the hopes to find a favorable oxtail because I just cannot deal with the customer service at cool runnings. When I spend my money and choose to patronize your business when there are so many more businesses that provide the same service, I expect to be treated as if I paid for my food because it was not free. I've graduated from college in 2004 and I must say that the customer service is still funky in 2021. Today will be the last day I patronize cool runnings. I will go back to eating curry chicken. Not to mention I left a tip despite the service, because she did as what I was having. She did not say thank you and that stung. I gave you a tip and you didn't say thank you.
