Conch Heaven- Riverdale

Calling all foodies! I definitely recommend Conch Heaven. Had the pleasure of enjoying really great take-out but feel free to dine-in. I could literally smell the food calling my name from inside the bagThe portions are huge each meal comes with 3 sides (yes I said 3) and best of all fresh seasoned and cooked to perfection! Here is what we ordered:- Fish Fingers with Peas N Rice- Steamed Conch with Peas N Rice, Festival- Fried Shrimp with Peas N Rice, Fried plantainThere are many more options on the menu to try,So don't be shy.

Pretty good authentic Bahamian food. I ordered the cracked conch & shrimp with Mac & cheese and rice & peas. The conch and shrimp was good. Not tough and chewy and had good flavor. The sides were average. Mac and cheese noodles were really soft (as if they were over cooked) and rice and peas needed more flavor. I will be back though, because I believe the sides were a one off. The restaurant was very clean and the food didn't take long to come out.

I had never considered conch and heaven in the same sentence, until now. The cracked conch was heavenly. This is now on my go-to list for fast casual dining.

Conch Heaven in Riverdale. I'm a regular customer that enjoys your Cracked Conch. Your restaurant is very clean and well presented. But one thing is OFF. The bearded guy working the register needs some customer service training immediately. Every time I encounter him he seems disinterested in serving me. I was wondering what did I do to this guy because his demeanor is pretty consistent each time I encounter him. He is very unwelcoming and comes across as if he doesn't want to be there. He should realize that his role as a cashier is to do more than just take orders and process transactions. Sometimes customers may have questions about the menu items, and he should be happy to explain and describe them. The menu lists Chicken Souse under the selection of Soups. So if I asked him how is Chicken Souse prepared...Is it really like a chicken soup?" Why did he stare at me like I'm crazy and respond in a dry manner, "No, it's a souse." Clearly I'm not familiar with what Bahamians call souse...That's why asked the question. Plus I felt like it was a struggle for him to provide a detailed description. He even said that he didn't know why they put it under Soup... "Duhhh!" I had to keep asking him questions because what he was saying sounded like it was very "soupy" to me. All I could say is, "You are confusing me." In a matter-of-fact tone he then tells me he told me everything that is included in Chicken Souse, and reminded me that it is not a soup so he doesn't know why I'm confused. As a result, I decided to get my usual which was the Cracked Conch and Peas & Rice. I decided to stay there and eat, because I was the only person dining there. Do you know that for the 45 minutes I was there, he never once came over to find out if I was enjoying my food, nor did he even offer me a sample of the Chicken Souse? He was not busy and definitely was utilizing his cell phone. I just feel that this was weird energy and a missed opportunity for him to provide excellent customer service. I shared my experience on Facebook and other people said they knew exactly who I was talking about because they received similar treatment from him. So this is why I am here writing this unfavorable review with hopes that an owner/manager/the cashier will see it and it motivates you all to improve. Honestly, I want to continue to patronize your restaurant, but when I think about his unwelcoming reception coupled by our uncomfortable and confusing conversation it makes me want to stop giving you my money. And to think...I actually tipped this guy. Lol!

The conch salad is great! Service was good. I looked all over Atlanta because I wanted dome conch. It tasted just like I remembered.

I loooove this Bahamian spot! The food is sooooo good. I tried their oxtails, cabbage, Mac and cheese and Johnny cake and rum cake. The taste was out of this world, I've tried oxtails so many different ways but no this way. The gravy is so good. I could eat the gravy of anything lol. The Mac and cheese was good. The cabbage has a really nice spice to it. The second time I went the cabbage wasn't spicy at all, I guess it depends on who makes it. Always get the Johnny cake, it's a good pairing with the cabbage and gravy.

Amazing authentic Bahamian cuisine. I order the whole snapper, which comes with a spicy vinegar sauce on the side. They have pretty good sides. Wouldn't recommend the rice. It is a bit too hard versus fluffy how I like. The Mac and cheese is pretty good also. They have superior cabbage. Never fails. My friends rave about the oxtails. However, I hear they sell out fast so pre-order if you wanna try them.

We're always eating at the location in Miami, Florida where my husband and I are from. But let me tell you, this location is outstanding. The employees are really friendly and the ambiance is colorful. There are many entrees to select from. We love conch and shrimp, so we had that. We ordered conch salad, mac and cheese, fried shrimp and fried cracked conch. The conch was so tender, fresh and fried really well. We will definitely be back soon.

Great restaurant! First time trying cracked conch was here. It was excellent, good rice and peas and cabbage. Excellent festival.
