My friends and I wanted to go to the Serena Rooftop bar, but sadly it wasn't open due to poor weather conditions. So instead, we came to Como Como, which was right below Serena.PAPA CON RAJAS - 14It came in a nice iron skillet which sat nicely on top of a wooden block. The potatoes were multi-colored with some parmesan sprinkled on top. Sadly, these potatoes did not taste nearly as good as they looked. They were bland and tasteless, and it did not help that they sat on top of a puddle of oil. Definitely not worth it and would not recommend. To note, my friends ordered the AL PASTOR MARGARITA (19 per cocktail) and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe ordering the cocktails and the entrees are the move here. The potatoes were not it. The service was good, though!

This is the restaurant in the hotel but not associated with the hotel. Very convenient and the staff is amazing. From bartenders to servers they were all super friendly and efficient We started at the bar lounge area for a quick drink and app. Cocktails are top notch! Really good bartenders. We also tried the fried rice. It was amazing! Once we sat down we looked over th entire menu we were very excited to start dining. Server was great and so enthusiastic. I'm fact everyone here was so friendly as I already mentioned but worth saying again. Everything we ordered was amazing. It was hard to stop eating. Wish we were closer so we could make this a regular dining option

Finally got to try this amazing new restaurant! We have been to Serena Rooftop a couple of times and walked right past the hallway leading to this gorgeous MARISQUERÍA with a hidden Mezcalista (Mezcal bar) in the back that opens around 8:30/9pm. We are big Mexican food fans and love fresh seafood as well so I was interested to see what they could do to bring both of those flavors together. First of all, every dish we tried was unique and full of flavor. We started with the guacamole and homemade salsa sampler. The chips were good but... OMG- the fresh corn tortillas were to die for! The smell alone transported me to Mexico. For appetizers, we also had the Acapulco Ceviche (Open Blue Cobia in the most traditional Mexican ceviche preparation with tomato, lime and Valentina hot sauce, red onion, serrano chile, cucumber, cilantro and avocado). Fresh & delicious! Our very helpful server, Fabiola (Fabi), made two EXCELLENT recommendations. Seriously, my mouth is watering just remembering them! I had the CARNITAS DE PESCADO- Flash fried (Hamachi), served crispy with more of those AMAZING hand pressed corn tortillas, & selection of condiments and salsas. My husband had one of the house specialties, ALMEJAS CON FIEDOVermicelli pasta, Littleneck clams, Chorizo and chipotle sauce with crumbled queso fresco. This dish is a MUST TRY!!! Seriously, both were great but the ALMEJAS was like nothing we've ever tasted before. Of course, we also enjoyed some great cocktails from the restaurant bar but we were really holding out for the Mezcalista bar to open for "dessert". We were one of the first people to come in when they opened which offered the perfect opportunity to get to know our bartender, @missagave. We consider ourselves somewhat of Mezcal & tequila connoisseurs. We really enjoyed trying some new varieties of Mezcal and creative cocktails with our favorite spirit. Overall, a wonderful & delicious night out for us locals!

Como Como, a marisquería (seafood restaurant) and raw bar, channels the flavors of Puerto Escondido, Los Cabos, Acapulco, and other seaside destinations, offering an authentic new perspective on a traditional marisqueria. The dramatic dining room features a striking copper-and-wrought-iron "fuego" (fire station), where diners can watch the whole fish they've selected being cooked over a wood-burning grill, the intoxicating fumes enveloping the whole room.

I don't know about y'all, but we had an awesome time at this place! On a Saturday night, we strolled in with a reservation for 2, but like we always do we check out the bar to grab a drink. The bar was busy at 6pm and then we figured out why....SATURDAY HAPPY HOUR! Yes, my fellow yelpers, this place has a weekend happy hour that also features food!To drink: Tres Hermanos. Looks like an old fashioned, but probably the strongest drink I've ever had in my life! I really wanted to finish it but I have enough hairs on my chest so opted for a more calming, refreshing Hemi-guay. Don't judge!Food doesn't get better than this. The portions are the same as regular dining but with happy hour the pricing is cut! We ordered the oysters, Trio Ceviche, and Mexican fried rice. Look at my pictures. No words!Service at the bar was phenomenal. Friendly and fast with the drinks. Couldn't ask for more. Recommend and definitely coming back!

Not too happy with this place. It showed up on many "must-eat" places to eat lists, but wow. The food is not that good and the prices are way too expensive for many flavorless dishes. We had:-Negroni-margarita-lamb meatballs (fav of the night)-ceviche (octopus, pretty good!)-grilled artichoke (this was SO bad. No flavor and so hard to eat!) We went to many other places during our trip that are way better. Sorry! Service was great! She was the best, but I forget her name. Just too pricey for average food.

Discriminates against party of one & does not honor reservations. I had a reservation at 7:00 P.M. for a table. (See photo as evidence). I came in 10 minutes prior because I respect my host and restauranteurs where coming in late effects their business. The host greets me and looks up my reservation. Sees I am a party of one and nudges me to dine at the bar. I declined, said I made a reservation for a table. I understand I am a tad early but will wait, but not much past 7:00 p.m. She advised me to sit inside the restaurant in their waiting area. I already had the strange feeling my evening would be RUINED. Also to note, I am appropriately dressed, shoes, crisp dress pants and long button up shirt. More so then a couple diners already seated. I sit inside, beautiful inside, done with taste. Almost a mesh of mesoamerican and a Speakeasy fused into one. The decor is a nice break from South Beach's neon lights. Noticed a group of 5 or so come in and one party member names drops the shift leader. Pretentious & classless. Almost everyone dining inside was well dressed, not the Versace Mansion gaudy escort crowd. When dining in south beach, this matters. Not too long after my reservation was scheduled, I would say 7:05, the same shift leader above approaches me and says either I can sit you at the bar or put a table outside in "the court yard" I have a party of 35 coming in at 8:00 P.M. and if I sit you, you'd have to leave by then...Excuse me? I had a reservation from a TABLE at 7:00 P.M. My ideology in life is don't turn a YOU problem into a ME problem. No other parties that were already seated were given parameters! I was open to seeing this "courtyard". We walked outside the restaurant and into the lobby of the hotel or whatever establishment Como Como is located in. I have no idea on what planet a lobby is considered a courtyard, but to the shift manager that's a courtyard. The look on my face said it all and even the shift manager said "I'd hate to leave you out here by yourself" I told him to cancel my reservation and I'd be leaving. He did ask how he could make it right and offered me a drink from the bar. I declined. I again reiterated the importance of honoring a reservation. Maybe for your patrons their respect, honor and feeling embarrassed is worth a measly cocktail, not me. I'm not that guy pal. FYI the most renowned and respected food critics come in unknown and alone. If they faced the same treatment as I have, I promise you their review alone would lead to your restaurant's demise. Luckily, for Como Como I was not one of those people. However, they do read Yelp and they do read what us commoners write and endear during our dining experiences. I hope this will be a lesson for Como Como, unfortunately at my expense. I am a foodie when I dine alone, I order as much as a party of three will. Sorry Scott. I would have enjoyed sampling your work but I was unable to. I definitely will not recommend Como Como if being treated like a third class citizen is accepted and is the current standard. After this experience I was disgusted and completely lost my large appetite. Last night in South Beach, not a great note to end on.

I came to Como Como on a Saturday night with a group of 10 for a birthday party at 9:15. Unfortunately it was raining that night so they moved their outdoor tables inside, pushing our reservation back. We weren't seated until 2 hours later, however the staff was extremely apologetic, doing their best to make up for it. Still, a damper for birthday plans, especially if we had other places to be afterwards. It was so late when it was time for us to order, so there were a few unavailable on the menu. Since we had guac, chips and salsa during our wait, we went right into ordering our entree. The pescado a la talla was AMAZING - a whole butterflied snapper served open face with two marinades; jalapeno cilantro garlic butter and ancho chile garlic butter. This is grilled over a combination of hard wood and mesquite charcoal which added such a delicious flavor. For our sides, we tried the esquites (mouth watering corn topped with homemade roasted garlic aioli, morita chile and cotija cheese), papa con rajas and brussel sprouts. This was such a delicious meal, it truly made me forget about the long wait prior. Lastly for dessert, we were brought out a cheesecake and bread pudding (which I don't see on their menu online) but this was SO GOOD. my goodness, I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. All the members of the staff were extremely sweet, and despite the initial wait, the service was quick. I'm still not sure I would recommend this place for a large party, but it's definitely somewhere I will be returning to.

Omg. Y'all. I LOVED this happy hour!!! So much that we even stayed 2 hours past happy hour. Our FAVORITE bartenders were Andy and Isaiah! They were literally the BEST!!! I believe that bartenders truly can make an experience. Craft cocktails were yum and made with love. Like...literally. Isaiah made my Al Pastor Margarita and it was lovely. Then I had Andy's "Special Daiquiri" and it was *chefs kiss*! The vibe at Como Como is really chill and inviting. We will definitely be back! Thanks again to Andy and Isaiah!!!

Nicely decorated and they handled my food allergy very well, but the food was not good. My shrimp did not have much taste and were not even close to worth $36. Overpriced, not very good food. I recommend looking elsewhere.
