Comfort at the Corner

Great breakfast at Comfort @ the Corner yesterday. The converted residence has a first floor restaurant specializing in morning and afternoon meals. It was jammed for Mothers' Day. My fine woman was working, so I was on my own. Luckily, there was a deuce on the enclosed porch that was too small for all the large parties, so they put me there. I try not to think too much about being the only diner w/o a mom. Service was warm and considerate, perhaps out of sympathy for appearing to be an orphan . I ordered Egg Bites (w bacon) and short stack French Toast, and house Java. The egg dish was two small gauge frittata and well done home fries w bits of onion mixed in. Perhaps a little over grilled, but tasty nonetheless. The taters were as I like them, well done to a firm crunch. The French T was soaked in a very good egg, vanilla, cinnamon slurry that grilled up full of flavor. The garnish of strawberry/raspberry/blueberry was a pleasant fruity touch. They offer a choice of Costa Rican or regular house blend coffee for a dollar differential. I went with the standard brew and it was strong and aromatic. I am sure the high end jolt is even better, but I was quite content with the house joe, which Anita refilled at every opportunity. She provided amazing attention given how many mothers were in the dining room. If you're into country drives and quality morning kitchens, Comfort at the Corner in Telford is very worthy of being your destination.

Perfect little breakfast place. Food was amazing. Hope it's able to make it, nothing else has been able to sustain themselves at that location.

Loved this place!! Adorable little cafe on the corner. Great service, quick, and delicious. I got the egg bites and they were so tasty!! Came with a salad, toast and a side of pickled cucumbers and onions which I devoured. Must try this place!!

Brisket omelet for the win! Plenty of options and a real nice atmosphere for the breakfast & lunch place.

Please do not go here. I picked up a to go order and was missing 2 items. I called when I got home and offered to bring the order back and was told no after being questioned. When I arrived back I was told I need to go back home and check again. That was all they could offer. I have now paid for items I did not get. This is the worst customer service I've ever seen. They actually stole from me. Food was average at best.

Good and different! My husband and I had skillets, very good, with spicy chorizo sausage. I was tempted to try the French toast with caramelized bananas, looked delicious! Not the usual offerings, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy and the aforementioned French toast. Good service too. Try it before it gets "discovered" and gets packed.

Went for breakfast. Walked in around 10 AM, and it was like walking into a freezer. They have 2 coffee options, regular and Costa Rican. Costa Rican was 4 dollars. Wasn't offered a refill. I don't know if that is standard, or the waitress messed up. Had St. Patricks Day special, Baileys dipped French Toast, mixed berries, and some kind of glaze. It was ok, but a bit pricey. Even taking into account the higher price for everything these days.

I took my mother there mid-morning on a Friday. Perfect timing as the place had been busy early as we saw many satisfied customers leaving as we arrived about 10:30. We were the only ones there as they got ready for lunch. We went there based on how much we like their other restaurant inside Imprint Brewing....it's terrific. We are local and so many of my friends had mentioned. It did not disappoint....just great food and great personal service that lived up to its name. Every item was prepared with care, right down to their great special coffee from Costa Rica (order it). Well known locally for their Skillets and we loved them. Grits were very authentic. Great list of specials as well....we plan to go back real soon. Plenty of free/easy parking and close to the door. Special shout out to the owner (Carlos)....he really cares about the food he serves and his guests. Super casual and super comfortable.

Fantastic fantastic fantastic! We were big fans of Comfort at the Back Porch and have anxiously been awaiting the opening of the new Comfort at the Corner location. It certainly lived up to your reputation! We had the waffle, Benny and a skillet. Enough for four to share with a little left over and VERY fully bellies. Everything was delicious, quickly prepared and our server (Asha) was a delight. The coffee and hot chocolate were also awesome. Highly recommend going and having breakfast or brunch here and we can't wait to go back!
