Love the cozy ambiance of this place. The kale salad and home fries were delicious! Friendly staff and a clean bathroom. Be ready for a possibly long waiting line, though. That said, the food is amazingly satisfying - worth the wait!

I recently had brunch here while visiting family on a Thursday and was not let down. We didn't have to wait long, which was nice, but since there were six of us, we ended up sitting outside. The buttermilk banana pancakes I had were delicious, but the table was a bit cramped. It is BYOB, but luckily, there's a liquor store right across the street if you need something last minute. The service was friendly and laid-back, which matched the vibe of the whole place. Parking in the area can be tough, so we parked at the ACME around the corner, which made things a lot easier. All in all, it's a great spot for a relaxed brunch with good food. I will be back

Comfort & Floyd drives home the comfort. Don't worry about the frills at this quaint brunch spot. You will feel like you've stepped into someone's home as service is provided at a casual pace and the decor is reminiscent of your parent's place from your childhood. Try to arrive early since only a handful of people can be accommodated. Mentioning allergies to your waiter may be a good idea before ordering since not all ingredients are listed on the menu. I ordered French toast with berries and granola; bananas were on the dish, without being listed on the menu. Overall a decent brunch spot with tasty food.Retro board games, and memorabilia from the past can keep those of all ages entertained. This family friendly establishment is perfect for a Sunday morning.

I don't know what to say besides THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The hype is real. You have to come & taste for yourself. Coffee is Olde City roasters. It tastes really good. It gets packed fast, expect to wait 15-30 min once you put your name on the list. Service is very relaxed so expect to be here at least an hour. But coffee is with unlimited refills...so...P.S. good for parties of 1-4; not more than that.

Fantastic food, super delicious and fair priced. The coffee is amazing and they keep a fresh pot going. The service is very attentive, albeit the restaurant is very small and tightly packed. The servers are always very busy but work hard to keep everyone happy. If your timing isn't good you might have to wait awhile as the seating is limited, but if you go early or between table shifts you should be okay. A cute local restaurant that serves amazing food, i highly recommend but wouldn't advise for large parties.

Found this place on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! The vibe was great, my breakfast was solid, and my coffee was never ever empty! I'll definitely be back soon!

This is a cute little restaurant. There aren't a ton of seats and it's small so if you don't like sitting close to folks you don't know, this isn't the place for you. We only waited about 20 minutes for a table but I can see waits becoming long there. Food comes out very fast once you order. I had a waffle which had fruit, granola and a cream over it. I wish I just got a plain waffle. The waffle it self was very good. I just wasn't a fan of everything on it. I also ordered bacon and home fries. These were the best home fries that I have ever had. They were perfect. My fiancé had an omelette and loved it.

Comfort and Floyd here in South Phillie is the "Retro" 1960's style diner I grew up with and LOVED!This place was packed like a sardine can with mostly locals and you couldn't ask for a better endorsement than that.I had a terrific tuna melt that I knifed and forked due to the fact that it was humungous, overflowing and totally delicious. This was "Diner" food at its best.My wife had a Loaded Kale Salad that I also jumped into and it was great. My #4 son had scrambled eggs with sausage, toast and burnt scallop potatoes; just like his Dad likes them. His girlfriend had a breakfast sandwich that was actually a work of art.Like I said above, this place was mobbed to the point of overflowing and they somehow kept the order and disbursement of food running uninterrupted. This was a lovely lunch was in keeping with my Philadelphia eating experience by being top notch!

This is the cutest and coziest little brunch spot In South Philly. Menu is short to choose from but somehow still managers to have something for everyone. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We ordered the chicken and waffles and a side of blueberry cornmeal pancake and waffles Benedict basically.Everything was delicious and very tasty. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. 7/10 for me.

Just got done eating at Comfort & Floyd and I would say it was about what I was expecting. The restaurant is pretty small so if you don't get there as it's opening you won't get a table for a while. I started with a Buttermilk Biscuit 6/10 & the Apple Cider 7/10. The biscuits seemed to be pre-made and they tasted like they were just warmed up, they weren't bad overall just not the best biscuits I've had. I also got 2 Eggs and Home Fries 7/10. I asked for the eggs lightly scrambled but they came out scrambled medium to hard. Im guessing they defaulted to what was easiest since it was a full house. The home fries had a nice char to them with some good flavor 8/10. I also ordered a short stake of pancakes and only 1 came out. The waiter was apologetic and I got another one but by the time it came I was already full and took it home. The pancake was pretty good 6.5/10 but not setting the world on fire. All in all I was hoping for a better experience but didn't necessarily have a bad one. I just don't know if I was blown away enough to go back as there are a ton of other options in Philly.
