Ken L. "We go to Breckenridge almost every summer, and Rita's is a MUST for us every year... and this has been going on for about 15 years. In fact, we often go multiple times over the course of week.... We like it that much. The place is simple - tacos, chips/salsa, margs/beer. Not fancy at all, but what they do they do VERY well. And the environment is something I really like - a real laid-back place (it's in a basement), with super-friendly staff that seem the genuinely enjoy working their and with each other. The vibe is totally "neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name".I highly recommend the black bean tacos - I eat meat, but these are so darn good. The seasoning is perfect, and three of these can make a good meal. Of course, your meal must be accompanied by an adult beverage - and their margs can be very strong, so pace yourself.A couple tips:1). On Taco Tuesdays, you get 3 tacos for the price of two! They all must be the same for your order, but if you go with others, you can find a way to have variety if you like2). On Thursday evenings, they have trivia. Great fun!I just came home from Breck, and I'm already looking forward to next summer's tacos and drinks at Rita's because, like the Terminator said, "I'll be back!"."

Helen H. "We finally got to try Denver Taco Truck after tracking it down for months!! Between the business being booked for private events and/or the truck relocating to another site that's far from us, the stars finally aligned one Saturday afternoon at Mockery Brewing. We purchased 5 tacos (shrimp, BLT, teriyaki chicken, cheese steak, and gringo) and chicken nacho fries... so delicious. Each taco had generous fillings, meat was tender and savory, and seasoning were perfect. Fries were packed with flavor. I'm practically drooling thinking about the taste. Guys in the truck we're also nice and friendly! The food came out quick, and we were able to bring the food into the brewery! Beer and tacos? Yes please!"

Nick B. "This truck is always parked in the same spot on Fountain and always at the same time. Friday afternoon through sunday night you can find this awesome little truck parked near the gas station in the empty dirt lot cooking up a storm. It doesn't matter what time it is, you will always see people from the neighborhood standing outside the truck either waiting on their order or shoveling their order down their mouth. My wife and I usually get the tacos Al Pastor (pork) and they are SOOOO good. I tried the Carne Asada but I still prefer the pork. For those more adventurous, they have Lengua as well as some other stuff that seemed like it was out of my comfort zone. Every order comes with a little zip lock baggy filled with diced onions and cilantro as well as some incredibly awesome salsa and salsa verde. I'm pretty sure they only take cash so be prepared before you arrive. If you ever need a late night snack be sure to come here and grab some tacos to go. WARNING: the neighborhood is sketchy as shit so grab your tacos and go. We've never had any problems while ordering, but my head is on a swivel every time I come."

"Passing through town on our trip from Virginia and so glad we found this place !We got carne asada tacos and both me and my partner are particular - he likes no pico and I like no cheese or sour cream and there were no issues !Delicious , the extra dollar for carne asada was so worth it. Great texture , flavor and not abunch of fat like some places.I also asked for a side of rice and beans - the rice is white but nice and fluffy and the beans were whole pinto and they gave salt to sprinkle on the beans since they usually put in the burritos only - perfect taste ! We got the spicy hot cause and it was flavorful AND the right amount of heat.Friendly service , good energy and smiles. It's a cute food truck and outside picnic tables had shade and sun, you could hear nearby running water. A must try!"

I realize many things have changed after Covid, but too bad this place changed for the worse. The vibe of this place is okay; the music they had the day I went was annoyingly loud. Food is mehhhh. We had chips and salsa; salsa was tasty, but the downside was that they charge for chips and salsa. The tacos were cold and greasy and tasted like leftovers. The 3 pieces of shrimp okay, but the other two were not so good. There was so much grease that the tortilla fell apart; it was hard to eat. After eating here, I got a horrible stomach ache and got sick. Overpriced for what you get, from beer to food. Not even close to authentic Mexican or tex mex.Service was very good, however! We won't be returning, and I don't recommend this place."

Upon arrival, there was 1 person ahead of me, but the wait time was minimal. I ordered a Carne Asada Chimichanga with a side of rice & beans (on the same plate) & I ordered my husband enchiladas (one ground beef, one chicken & one cheese with extra red chile sauce) with rice/beans. I also decided to try their fountain soda, which I noticed was Real Sugar Soda Colorado. The gentleman who took my order was very polite & I felt as though my food came up quickly. The smell during my 5 minute drive home was incredible & at this point I was excited to dig in!!! I was super impressed by the overall flavor. I felt as though it tasted like quality ingredients were used, it was a portion so large I ate the other 1/2 for lunch the next day & I love that it was topped with sour cream & guacamole without my asking. My husband was also very pleased by the enchiladas & our dinner consisted of very little talking!! I'm thankful that Julian's opened here in the Springs. It's a great carry out restaurant, probably a really awesome quick lunch stop. I also appreciated the offerings of salsa & small containers to take that to go also. Lastly, having a fantastic CO brand soda on fountain was great!! We will definitely be back anytime we're looking for a tasty quick meal to go!!! Highly recommended!!"

The 90-minute timer starts after ordering the first plate of wings. Service was EXCELLENT, from host to table, and Cameron made it feel like a warm hug of welcome. I started with a birria taco which was OK. The wings are finger-licking good, had just the right amount of crispy crunch, served hot, and were some of the best flavors I've ever tried. I got the Korean Bbq sauce, adobo, and buffalo and made me feel like Remi from Ratatouille. There are games and a photo booth. Indoor seating, high tops, and patio tables outside. Jay K. "One of the best tacos I've had in Colorado. I was leaving the parking lot of an aging strip mall dominated by an ARC Thrift Store. I had just finished lunch at Bang Bang Asian Cuisine but saw this taco truck by the road. Intrigued I decided to drive by and take a look. Turns out they recently won top taco and salsa awards. Dang...just had lunch and I'm full. What to do...what to do. A good taco is my kryptonite and Taco won. I asked the owner what's his go to taco and he suggested the El Norteno...a Texas style sliced brisket taco with jalapeño salsa. I ordered just one...after all this is my second lunch and I dont want too much. The taco is massive. More like an open burrito with a 1/4 pound slice of brisket. The brisket was tender, Smokey but not over powered by it, and flavorful. Actually top notch brisket. The taco came dressed with cheese, beans and freshly sliced avocados. The jalapeño salsa was on the side...which I prefer. The taco doesn't get overly wet and travels better. The salsa itself is fantastic. It has a bit of heat and is nicely balanced with an herbal tone from the fresh jalapeños and cilantro. The olive oil is emulsified has a creamy texture on the palate rather than being wet. A rather chef-y touch. That salsa adds brightness and punch to a very meat forward taco. My only complaint is that I truly would have been transported to Taco nirvana if I had an ice cold beer with the taco! The gent who was manning the taco truck is one of the two owners. Super nice dude who likes to chat about his love for serving up some of the best tacos and salsa around. He's the mad genius behind the salsa and more "traditional" tacos. His business partner is the master of smoke."

Luckily, we got in around 8.20 pm on Friday evening which is a bit late for dinner but we got a table instantly. I got the papayita drink which was alright and my husband got the Paloma which was good. Our friend was visiting from India and had never tried mezcal, he tried the mahahali drink and that was really good! For apps we got the elote corn and guacamole - both were freshly made. I personally loved the elote corn. For mains we got the tacos - I loved the pork belly tacos, it was almost like the al pastor but better. Our friend is a vegetarian and got the Rajas which he loved. Brutø was just as you'd expect from the reservation flow on Tock to the seating process upon arrival. My partner and I came here for our anniversary and felt incredibly special throughout the evening. I'm still drooling over the menu.Everything was exquisite, served with detail and enthusiasm. My favorite dish was probably the Lamb + Eggplant because I had no idea lamb or eggplant could taste so emotional. The bison carpaccio as part of the Canapes was also delightful. I'm sure none of this will sound familiar as Brutø rotates their menu, but all I'm saying is that it's worth saving up to visit.I didn't do their alcohol pairings and went down the street for a brief happy hour instead, since we got to Dairy Block earlier than expected. From experience, call a car if you're doing any of their pairings. I had some FOMO from our neighbors that indulged. Maybe next time! But, boy-oh-boy, am I glad I didn't listen to those reviews!! I think those who said the food here was expensive need to invest in a dictionary because they obviously don't understand the meaning of expensive!! After visiting the Ice Castles, my family and I decided to eat at The District Kitchen & Saloon after a local verified that The District offers a gluten free selection and wholeheartedly recommended we eat here. Assuming that the portion sizes would be comparable to Denver restaurants (which is usually fairly small), we ordered according. Boy, were we wrong! The portion sizes are fabulous...so much so that we have enough for dinner for tonight and possibly lunch for tomorrow! For appetizers we ordered the guacamole & chips, the avocado tower, the queso brisket, the nachos, and the fried mushrooms. (Yes, that's a lot of food, but two of us are gluten free, and we thought the portion sizes would be small, so we planned on sharing appetizers.) The entrees we ordered were two 12iz ribeye steaks, one stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp, and one chicken fried steak. Each entry came with fresh veggies (green beans or baby broccoli) and garlic smashed potatoes. The appetizers were SO big that we were all practically full before the entrees came. We wound up taking the fried mushrooms, nachos, a side of Mac & Cheese, and the majority of both ribeyes with their sides. Our server, Ki, was amazing! Beyond be g super warm and friendly, she made sure that my food and my son's food was gluten free and was very attentive to not only my table, but all of her tables. Anytime Ki was unsure if something was gluten free, she would check with the chef and then come and let us know. "I had it fresh made right on the spot I should of mentioned it but in the sense of how the average person would want them made I just like mine a little extra crispy but wait let me tell you about the carne um where should I start and gone have to stop myself as it was endlessly delicious, juicy, tender, flavorful just look at the picture not over saturated with cheese and not stinging with the protein lol the service was awesome and the wait time was nothing and what I expect when getting freshly cooked food I got fries so about 15 minutes with 3 orders ahead of me so I got to give it to the chef as that means he was prepping not just more then one order as my order was only me and the 3 orders ahead where groups of 4 an a limo driver behind me and we all got our food simultaneously after another he called one a minute or two the next order was up and to mention this was the day special that I got for $8 1/2 order of fries with a jarritos so it most definitely hit for lunch and held me down until dinner time this was my first time and when I give 5 stars on a first visit just know I recommend you give them a try and I will most definitely be back to try a torta with carne. And to think I was about to go spend way more money at the surrounding food places in the Northfield shopping center so if you know the area it's plenty of other places to choose from I felt this was a W (win) in my end where I have eaten at a lot of those places and here I got more for less and anytime I see food chains don't get me wrong some are good some are ok a lot are terrible lol but I always spend with the smaller businesses the mom and pop owned type places they was just this food truck sitting in this huge parking lot with big smells my nose got a whiff and I followed it right on over Tacos Giovis! We did have to ask for napkins/utensils and at one point, refills. Payment can be a little awkward. The server brings a hand held card reader to your table so you pay the server directly. Some people may not care about this, but I could understand how that could make someone feel uncomfortable, especially if they had a poor experience. I also feel like a signed copy of the receipt gives a little more security, but that could be my old way of thinking too. Food: The salsa trio just didn't stand out in any way to me. It tasted plain. The tortilla chips were on the harder side, which for me, I do not like, but someone else may love.We ordered two tacos. They were actually pretty good but they are street size tacos which is not indicated on the menu. We paid $10 for two. You can see from the photo they were filled so that's a plus. The beef empanadas were our least favorite. They were the typical small/standard size, both filled with what tasted like canned spaghetti sauce and a side of the same sauce. The menu says it comes with smoked paprika sauce. We couldn't really even taste the beef in it.I'm on the fence about this place since the street tacos were the only real (food) highlight for me.
