Coda Di Volpe is this cute little Italian restaurant tucked away in like the west side of wrigleyville. Definitely in a more quiet part of the neighborhood so it makes for a great dinner spot with family. I came here for the first time with my parents about a year ago, and absolutely had to return with my girlfriend. She loves Italian so I had to bring her here. Starting the night we had a cocktail and the meatballs. The meatballs had a great texture and delicious, rich, meaty flavor. I ordered the chef's pasta which seemed to be a cross of carbonara with the guanciale, and some kind of pasta primavera. Definitely very fresh taste to it that balanced the richness of the cured pork. I don't know if it's still on the menu but I absolutely would recommend. We closed out the meal with the olive oil cake which was ok. Not quite what we expected, so next time we'll probably try something else. Overall this spot strikes me as the type of venue that will serve you the classic pastas done right in a beautiful restaurant with friendly staff.

Saw this place was VPN certified and had to come and check it out! We made a reservation which was needed - this place was packed! For drinks i got the espresso martini which i was not a huge fan of. There were a ton of bitters in it making it a weird twist for an espresso martini but it was still drinkable. For appetizers we got the chopped salad and the truffle arancini. The salad was extremely fresh especially the cheese. It was my first time trying arancini and it will definitely not be my last time having it! It was so good with the corn and truffle combination. It was a very unique flavor that complemented each other. For an entree was got the super diavola which was spicy! We also used the calabrian oil they give you on the side which made it even spicier. We were not expecting it to be this spicy when we ordered it but were impressed with it. For dessert we got the tiramisu which might have been the best part of the whole meal. It was sweet and salty which paired perfectly with tiramisu flavor. Overall this place was pretty good. The food had a lot of unique flavor combinations that set it apart from standard food. The total price for this was $120 without tip which was pretty reasonable considering everything we ordered. If you're in the area it's a must try!

This was a nice date spot. We arrived early for our reservation but were able to be seated immediately. The restaurant was packed. After looking over the menu u I went with an Hugo spritz and got ready to order. We started with the focaccia bread, arancini and Casarecce Alle Noci pasta. After another look, we went with the tartufo pizza. I was not a fan of the arancini, the corn really threw me off. The focaccia bread was o good we got it twice. It was warm, fluffy and whipped ricotta was perfect. The tartufo pizza was really really tasty although I wish it was cut by the staff cause I kinda went scissor crazy. By the time the pasta came I was too full so I only took a bite. I did take it home and had it for lunch the next day. Overall it was a nice meal and the music was cool. The bathroom could definitely use some attention through out the day.

I can see why chicagoans put up with their brutally cold and windy winters - the food here is beyond words. This place was no exception. Everything about it was perfect. The ambiance was great, service was great, the wine was good and the pizza and pasta were worth the flight alone. I would like to live near this place, I would never leave. The menu was incredible, I wanted to try everything. First time I ever ordered a pizza and they gave me scissors to cut it. Incredible. I might as well be in Naples if you ask me. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente, and has such a unique flavor profile, you could also tell the pasta was homemade. Everything tasted so incredibly fresh. I need more reasons to come to chi town!

Cute place! I've walked past a hundred times and finally decided to try it! The patio is really nice though it did get a little buggy when we got our food. The Pasta a Piacere (or seasonal pasta) was a homemade fettuccini with lemon, tomatoes, corn, guanciale, cheese, and probably some other things I'm forgetting. It was very light and refreshing and perfect for summer. The Salsiccia & Sopressata was yummy. A little floppy but I liked that they gave us scissors to cut it ourself. Would definitely like to go back and try more of their pizzas!

Great pizza and done similarly to Neopolitan-style, although definitely still American. The majority of the menu is quite pricey, but the pizzas are reasonable. For those looking for something interesting, you can try the spicy Diavola pizza. Or the Mortadella e Pistachio pizza, which does indeed have pistachios on it - it works very well.

I had a reservation for 6:30 PM and arrived around 6:25 PM. Given the rainy weather, I understood that the wait might be longer than usual. However, 20 minutes past our reservation time, I checked in with the hostess and was told there was no information available regarding our table.Meanwhile, another couple who arrived after us was promptly approached by a manager and informed that, since their reservation was only five minutes overdue, their drinks would be complimentary. Despite our reservation being over 20 minutes late, no one checked in with us or offered any compensation. The restaurant seemed to lack a systematic approach for handling customers waiting for their tables or reservations. We finally got seated about 30 minutes later. Once we were at our table, the experience improved significantly. We ordered three different pastas and three different pizzas. The food was excellent, with the Rigatoni con Ragu being my favorite among the pasta dishes. The meatball for the Spaghetti was probably the least favorite for me. There seem to be no texture to the meatball making it feel like it is mushy and lack of flavor The pizzas were also great, each featuring a nice crust and flavorful toppings. The restaurant has a bar for their solo dining or for couple who don't want to wait for a table.

The ambiance was nice here but it took so long for my group to get our drinks and while it's reasonable to say the bartender is new, I shouldn't have received my wine 15 mins after my friends received their cocktails. The pizza is what this place is known for so we all shared the margherita and while it was good, it didn't really blow me out of the water. We each ordered the spicy malfadine pasta which had very minimal crab. It was a nicely cooked pasta but again, not something I'd crave again.

bucatini carbonara was creamy and flavorful without being too salty from the pancetta, pepper was a great add the pork in the focaccia "sandwich" was really tender and the mustard in the sauce helped cut through the fattiness special call-out to the strawberry pomegranate and basil sorbet and the super rich chocolate gelato (one of the richest I've had)

Amazing food, super rich, super filling. Portions are big enough to order a few things to share, which is great! They'll also personalize your menu for birthdays or events which is super fun The staff are so nice & helpful, & the space is beautiful as well.
