This is the best food in Waller, TX there is no debate or question this is the place hands down. Beside maybe a specialty BBQ pit joint, this place has all dishes covered. It's a nice family place where everyone knows each other and makes you feel welcome. The staff are very nice and polite. Whoever is back in that kitchen hello you wear the title belt! I work in Waller and we've been to pretty much everywhere for lunch. This place is the best!! My favorite is the Reuben Sandwich. Freaking delicious. All their ingredients are fresh and they cook the dishes to perfect temperature that is their secret. Plus, they are super nice which makes you feel welcome and there are positive vibes in there because everyone is happy eating that food! They even have a little gift shop in the back. PArking is tricky but there's always a spot for you. Try the Reuben it's the bomb!

Driving to airport and had extra time so wanted to find some home cooking. First stop was Chappell Hill main Street. What a beautiful and classic American Main Street on the hill. Bummed that the only restaurant in town was closed on Monday so off to next town. I found this cafe in Hempstead and had a great lunch , Ca. Burger ( Little ironic ) and bacon potato soup....both outstanding! Stuffed from lunch but server says I have to try the fresh banana cream cake. Not a cream cake fan but agreed to try it. Bam!!! Hard to describe how good it was....seriously I might have to fly back to Texas just for this cake. Do yourself a favor if you are ever in Hempstead just stop in for lunch and order whatever they recommend.

I love this place! The food is soooo good. All homemade and fresh to order. I've never tried anything that wasn't good. The Special is always a hot home cooked option, yet I really love the Keto friendly options, that keep me on my health plan. When I'm ready for a real treat, I get dessert. So many good choices!! The staff make you feel like you're part of their family. Great place all around.

Best in Hempstead. Great lunch spot with blue plate specials and good country fare. Deserts are amazing. Don't forget to checkout the to go fridge when you leave. The pimento cheese is some of the best! Highly recommend.

Excellent food and good prices! Love their desserts too! Bad thing they are only open M-F 11:00-2:00. Best place to eat in Hempstead. Service is excellent!
