City Hall Cafe & Pie Bar

This cafe is so unique and fun!!! I love all the road signs and neon lights!! The inside is just as fun as the outside!! I decided to bring a group of my students here for some good ol' home cooking!!! It did not disappoint!!Our waitress was very patient and understanding with 5 teenagers trying to order and being needy with drinks!! I chose to start with a salad. Super fresh veggies and crisp lettuce!!! I got the chicken fried chicken with white gravy today! Best in town!!! So crispy and the gravy is nice and thick!! For sides, the fried ocra is a must!!! Don't forget the ketchup!! Maybe that's just me!! Now let's talk desert!!!!! They have almost any pie you can think of!! But the buttermilk... EPIC!!!!! If you're too full from your meal, get it to go!! Trust me!!! It is worth every penny and you'll savor every bite and be very upset when you take the last bite!! If you're driving through my sweet hometown, make sure you visit our cafe! The food, drinks, and ambiance is worth the stop!!!

We finally decided to try the City Hall Cafe for lunch and I'm glad we did. The ambience is really comfortable and interesting. Very clean, but a rustic atmosphere entertaining decor with excellent and attentive service by our waiter Ryan. We were seated right away and Ryan set us up with menus quickly and politely. Quite an extensive menu with interesting selections but we chose to try the daily lunch specials Fried Catfish with green beans which comes with fries and two hush puppies and the chicken tortillas casserole with corn and broccoli casserole. The drinks come in a quart Mason jar which was quite nice as the tea quality was excellent. My catfish was fried perfectly and the tartar sauce was good but the red sauce was very good! Fries were crispy and flavorful moist inside. Hush puppies were good but a little bit small. The chicken casserole was good flavor but needs more cheese and the broccoli casserole was very good as well. The corn casserole was not that good. The price is very reasonable and we will definitely be making a return to sample more from this fun establishment!

Such a cute place to eat! Clean and great service. The good was delicious. Burger had good flavor to it and the sweet potato fries with the cinnamon butter is a must! Cutest mason jars for your drink, huge to! Decor was really nice and different ! Interesting stuff to look at as well. Great to visit with family or by yourself. Calm and comforting. Many different opinions to choose from.

Good food, friendly staff. The food comes out quick and I haven't had a bad thing on the menu yet.

Country food - it was not as seasoned as it could have been. Everyone at our table was somewhat disappointed. Service was good. Friendly server. Decor was ok but the Ambience was not great. The place was pretty empty. I guess we were just there at a slow time.

Very cool vibe outside and inside. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the margarita I ordered, but it was like a vacation in a glass. It had pineapple and orange in it. All I needed was a beach! We ordered some fried mushrooms because we were waiting on a friend otherwise we would have just stuck to our meals. I got the BearKat cheerleader burger and seasoned potato wedges for my side. I also ordered my burger with a jalapeño cheddar bun. It had pepper Jack cheese, fresh jalapeños and a jalapeño ranch sauce. Talk about fantastic!!!! The wedges were good, but I would probably order a different side next time. It was a lot of food. Our waitress was awesome and came by our table several times to make sure we didn't need anything. We were too full to try any pie, so next time no appetizer!! Ha ha or I guess we can eat pie first! I think I like that idea better!

Much too expensive for subpar meals. The country fried steak meals were very disappointing.

City Hall has it all.This was a recommendation while we were in Huntsville. Great country style restaurant with homestyle cooking .Service was phenomenal with Jessie as our server.He was swift in taking our drink and food orders.We started with some onion rings and mozzarella sticks that were served fresh and hot .For our entree....We ordered spinach and chicken quesadillas with sides of quacomole and pico with just the right amount of spice.This was large enough to share and cooked perfectly crispy with the right amount of filling.City Hall restaurant is known for their pies and we could not resist.We opted for the apple pie mini size served hot per request and it was a perfect size for a few bites to share.Would recommend this cafe to anyone.We came on a Sunday at 2:30 with absolutely no wait .

The classics are delicious, my favorites the chicken fried steak. The club is really good as well. The dessert pies are why you go though!! Staff is nice and good. Gets busy around lunchtime, but never have to wait too long for refills. There's TVs in the bar area, and different things on the wall throughout the rest of the restaurant. Fun and light atmosphere to have some great comfort food!
