Cinco de Mayo Mexican Restaurant & Bar

Stopped in here for a recent weekday lunch and the place was virtually empty. The service was very slow and our waiter kept hiding in a booth in the front or behind a column in the restaurant while talking on his phone. The food was ok but nothing stood out this time except for the green salsa. Their green salsa is still really good.When we visited last time a glass of wine cost $5 for house wine which we thought was fair. Of course they don't have the cost listed on the menu but when we got the bill we saw they are now charging $7.95 a glass. I would have expected some increase in price over time but this seems excessive, especially considering the caliber of restaurant compared to other, more upscale Mexican restaurants.Oh, and they no longer use the cute little glasses for serving water - at least we didn't get them.Most likely won't rush back here any time soon.

Food is okay. Service is fair. I ordered ground beef enchiladas with quest sauce and sour cream on the side. Also wanted refried beans. When the food was brought out the enchiladas had a cheese/gravy mixture on tops. Was also brought charro beans instead of that I ordered. Enchiladas ended up having beef fajita and a couple of pieces were more fat than meat. Not a total disaster but not what I really wanted. Didn't want to send it back as it was late and wasn't sure how long it would take. Will probably go back but not for awhile.

I went on a Sunday evening. They were not that busy, 4 or 5 other tables besides myself. I ordered Chicken Fajita Enchiladas Verde. I have no idea what I got but it wasn't that. It had huge chunks of tough roast beef wrapped up in a flour tortilla and covered in a creamy green sauce (avocado sauce??). The food was very bland. I had also ordered water with lime; but he offered homemade lemonade which I accepted. I tried to get his attention to ask what the food was but never caught his eye. He also never came to check on my drinks seeing that both the lemonade and water were empty. If you like bland, tasteless food, poor service and extremely expensive drinks ($4.50 for lemonade) this is the place for you. For those of us that like flavor, avoid at all costs.

The margs here are absolute bliss! My wife's loves to come here for her Margarita fix lol! The service is 10/10 here as well and the food def matches the quality of service! We come here a lot and there is never anything negative to say! The venue is big and hods a ton of folks, so you won't be waiting in line forever to eat. Which is awesome!

Good food & service. Best horchata I've had in Houston area. Generous portions for your money.

Service was incredibly slow- only one waitstaff on duty and he WAS apologetic.Food quality was decent for the price and seasoned well. It just wasn't anything 'wow'.

The food was not good. Will not be going back here. Had to send the first plate back because of rancid veggies. Rice had no flavor, salsa was not good, and beans tasted like water. Service was nice but not worth the money.
