Came here on my lunch break as I was craving noodles. I ordered their dan dan noodles and they were incredibly oily... like literally sitting in a pool of red oil. Despite having a good spicy, savory peanut flavor with a decent amount of meat, the excess oil was just unappetizing. I ordered the cumin lamb for takeout and that was much better. The lamb was tender and didn't have much of a gamey flavor. The cumin seasoning was definitely present but not overpowering. The restaurant serves a lot of classic Sichuan dishes so I will look past the Dan Dan noodles and come back to try their other dishes for sure!

I have a friend that lives in Hong Kong and outside of Belleair /HTX Chinatown... this is as good as it gets! If you like spicy Szechuan food. You'll like this place. Just don't ask for "spicy" on your first visit because they bring the heat!

Awesome place for Schwann food. We use to have to drive to downtown now we have a great place in the area. Great service and very friendly the owner is on sight often and made us feel welcome. Be sure to try the Dan Dan noodles. Be advised if the menu says spicy, they mean it. Nice decor, feels comfortable. This is in the H‑E‑B stripe center.

I could not have had a better experience than the one I had at Chuan, the pork buns and dumplings were absolutely amazing, on top of that the owner gave us some excellent off menu recommendations that we all thoroughly enjoyed. On top of that he was an absolute joy to have around and we all talked for a while afterwards. The food and service was impeccable. Do yourselves a favor, try this place, don't think about it, just do it.

I would have normally given Chuan's a 4.5 star rating. It's really hard to find a good authentic Chinese restaurant in this part of Houston, and we've liked most of the dishes we've tried, especially the jelly noodles, though most dishes are a tad oily. They also do a good job with the spiciness level, and have great service for dine in.The reason I had to knock off a star is that in our last jelly noodle take out, we found the lid of a plastic bottle, which is concerning. I think their food is delicious, so I hope they can take note of this as I'd like to be able to go back again.

This place is newish, about a year, and yet it seems to already have a good customer base. It's located in a strip center by an HEB. Inside it's pretty, welcoming. Service is very nice and friendly. First we ordered the handmade shrimp and vegetable dumplings, and they were tasty. I then ordered spicy fried tofu with vegetables. It was not on the menu, but they made it for me, anyway. It was very good except for one thing. It was loaded with broccoli, and not a lot of tofu. My friend ordered Sesame Beef. It tasted good, but the presentation was not good, at all. So.. all in all, it's good, but it has some polishing to do.

Excellent family owned and operated - meaning you have Yeye cooking from his Szechuanese native recipes! It's really quite a great and authentic experience! We drive 30min past many other "Chinese" restaurants to experience it! Btw the go too Chile Wontons are a must starter. Oh and for most dishes expect some heat... this isn't that blah Cantonese Moo Goo Gai Pan!

Decided to try this place because our usual place was closed. So this was our first time here. First off prices aren't what they are on the website. They are much more. For the two of us it was $50. Our usual place is like $30. We got home from picking it up and immediately after opening the food we noticed something that resembled legs. There was a bug, like a dragon fly or may fly cooked in our food. We quickly put all the food in the bag and took it back. They thankfully gave us a full refund. Personally we will never be back, I get grossed out easily and that was enough for me.
