Chotto Matte - Miami

This was sole of the best food I have eaten!!! The place has really unique and pleasant decor. The service is top notch!! Highly recommend this place.

I found about Chotto Matte on social media and I want to give a try. Made a reservation and I was greeted by Vicky so nice and polite. The interior design is breathtaking, the bar makes you feel like you in the amazing, the trees, the color simply magnificent but yet extravagant. Customer service is top notch.Food is also great, tried so many dishes and each of them was spectacular Definitely will recommend it .

I found this place through TikTok with great reviews so I made a reservation for my birthday. I went on a Friday at 7pm, it was empty with the exception of a few people at the bar. Which was totally cool w me love me an empty restaurant.The vibe was dope, dark, jungle-y. I wanted a tequila drink my waiter recommended Sumoki. It was slightly spicy - bomb. I ordered 2 rolls, 1. the spicy tuna crispy sushi - the spicy tuna was INCREDIBLE. I could have done without the "crispy sushi" it didn't do much for me. 2. Soto Maki. Also incredible. They put a fire torch on it when they brought it out, not sure why but aesthetically cool. 2 minor "ehhh's" if you will. I ordered both rolls at the same time, they explained they can come out at different times bc of different kitchens, fine - but like, 30 minutes apart? I waited so long, which I guess worked in my favor bc the other "ehh" is how small the rolls were. Had they brought them out at the same time I def would have ordered more it bc it took so long I didn't add anything additional. By the time I got back to my hotel I was hungry again. Total bill for these 3 items was $80 and 1.5 hour event. Food is BOMB just be prepared to spend and to wait.

Awesome experience! Food and service was a 10/10. The aesthetic is probably in my top 5 of restaurants I've attended. We opted for one of the tasting menus which I believe is the way to go. Our server was attentive and the manager even checked in on us a couple of times. Love this spot for a birthday dinner or upscale night with Friends.

I came with my son and friend. The decor is simply gorgeous. The location is located in a small hidden alley near to the Lincoln road shopping area. The service from Stephanie was top notch. We tried 11 dishes in all. All were delicious and executed extremely well. All the dishes looked eloquently assembled. No dish was a disappointment. We enjoyed all of them. I recommend this place for a special event or evening.

Could not recommend Chotto Matte more. We came in on a Saturday night around 8:30pm for my boyfriend's birthday. When I made the reservation I noted it was his birthday, so not sure how much of a role that played, but our service from the moment we walked in, to the moment we walked out was exceptional. The hostess were so friendly, we had multiple servers as well as the manager come by and ask how we were doing. The manager even gave us a small comped dish to try after chatting for a little while. There was a DJ and the music was great, overall perfect celebration vibes. I had two personal hiccups during our dinner, both of which were definitely just the particular server we had:1. I asked for a drink recommendation, something not sweet. I was recommended the Chicha Sagrada (not pictured) it was a great drink, but definitely had to have been THE sweetest drink on the menu which isn't really my cup of tea 2. I discreetly went up to our server mid dinner and told her I wanted to order a birthday dessert for my boyfriend as a surprise. Before the dessert came out while we were still waiting for our last plate, our server brought us dessert spoons, plates, and new napkins. And although great that she brought us the stuff, it was WAY too early and completely ruined the element of surprise! I would've preferred to have to ask for spoons after the fact lol As for food, we ordered a la carte, and will definitely have to try one of the pre set tastings next time. Everything we ordered was fantastic, only wish we could've tried more!Food we ordered:Spicy Tuna Crispy Sushi: came with 5 decently sized pieces, it was very good but definitely too much for just the two of us Sato Maki: It doesn't say on the menu, but they touch this roll table side. It was fantastic Yellowtail: so many fantastic flavors and the texture from the chips on top Tuna Tataki: one of my favorites from the night. The herb salsa on top was fantasticBBQ Baby Back Ribs: we never would have ordered this is the manager didn't have us try it. They were so flavorful and so tender they fell off the bone. I'm not a big rib fan, but these were pretty great Passion Fruit Crème Brûlée: Fantastic flavor, the consistency of the crème was too gooey like it wasn't set properly or overheated when they melted the sugar.

OH EM GEE.... Guys... this spot is pricey in my opinion but it is memorable! My choices were all spot on and I think I've tried the best tuna tataki in my life. The drinks were a huge to the soul and each dish that was shared in my party of 12 was just exquisite. I definitely plan on returning and trying more out. Beautiful for a night out with the girls or with your love.

I had a wonderful and tasty meal here at chotto. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Here they have a little of everything for everyone. Which I like so no one's left out in your party.The service was attentive and helpful. The waiter suggested some good dishes to enjoy. The work staff were all focused and having a good time with their work.The decor was very Miami and playful and to top it off was the open ceiling above the sushi bar. Till next time Chotto!

Came here for the end of Miami Spice and what a treat! My friend and I ordered a little bit of everything. All so delicious, definitely coming back! Our waiter Jose was awesome and helpful with suggestions. The music was perfect with the right volume. They recently remodeled, very comfy seating ,and nice decor all around. On my list of places to return.
