Upon entry it is quite quaint. Feels very mom and pop style. It is casual and good for hangouts with friends. Keep it mind it can be a little noisy. This has become our to go order for Korean Fried Chicken. We tried several spots near by, but found their sauces too sweet without actual flavor. At Choong Man's the sauces are perfectly balanced and the batter is light. The chicken is flavored throughout, so each bite is a nice experience. We ordered the traditional spicy chicken and then spicy soy garlic. Both were incredible. Crispy, juicy and savory. We don't dine in, so I can't speak for the other services, but they were courteous and friendly. The food is done in a timely manner.

Decent Korean-fried chicken. Cheaper than what you'd get from bb.q but I think bb.q's crispy texture is much much better. Their snow onion is an interesting take, worth trying once, but I think the pungent onions and sauciness personally doesn't quite hit the spot when I'm feeling a nice crunchy fried chicken.Restaurant and bathroom is clean. At the time we went, part of the restaurant had a strong strong cleaning product smell, fortunately sitting closer to the front and near the fans helped.

Don't judge the interior or exterior!Food is fire! Ordered the curry flavor chicken, soy garlic and spicy soy garlic flavored chicken legs + wings and it was excellent tasting. Curly fries were pretty good as well. The small order came with about 8 pieces per flavor. Average size, not too small. I'm sure if we dined in, it wouldn't been a lot more crispier. But good overall!

Atmosphere is somewhat lacking, though it hasn't changed from owner to owner. They are only playing K-Pop from one TV and it's peacefully mute and almost unrecognizable. When you come in you aren't greeted right away, and the cashier speaks very fast with a slurring of words. To save you the trouble she mentions "it's 5, 7, and 7". Yeah, I was like Steve Harvey saying "Say what now?" It room me a second but she was referring to the quantity. I think it was "5 drums, 7 wings or 7 mix". I ordered the drums... definitely wrong choice. The drums here are HUGE!!!! When did Korean Chicken stop using spring-chicken parts?! This is like a European Chicken leg (Godzilla)... I digress. The drums were over cooked, over seasoned and the whole meal drums, can soda and fries were over priced.Other than the pickle radish, sadly this place has lost its Korean touch.Hope this review helps you guys improve where it's lacking.

Ate here for a first date and was pretty disappointed. There was a bug crawling on one of the trays (not the actual food or I would've immediately walked out) and my date had to kill it with a napkin before it tried to climb on him. The food was probably the worst version of Korean fried chicken I've ever had, but it wasn't terrible/inedible. It just tasted like fried chicken from a not-so-great American wing place. The service was fine and the interior was a bit run-down, but overall fine. There's a bit of parking in the front. 1-star off because the food was not great and 1 star off because of the bug on the tray.

Solid Korean wing spot in West Houston.Located a bit north of the other Korean spots near Long Point. Parking is plentiful in their shopping plaza. We came by and ordered for dine in, which was a mistake; the chicken took about 40 min to come out. Would recommend calling ahead or doing takeout going forward. We got curly fries and a whole chicken. Portion size is very fair and the chicken is sauced very well and overall very solid KFC. It definitely rivals Krisp for me for the best chicken joint in the area.

The restaurant is pretty easy to miss because of the flimsy banner displaying the restaurant name, so keep your eyes peeled for the pictures of chicken and Korean writing plastered on the windows lol there's not a ton of parking and the restaurant isn't that big, so I think most people do takeout. That's what we did and the food held up for the drive home, retaining its excellent crunch!GARLIC SOY WINGS: I don't understand why they don't tell you how many wings come in a serving, but I got 6. It doesn't sound like a lot, but the drums were basically short drumsticks lol they were HUGE!! Anyways, these were super moist and flavorful! They may be the best wings I've ever had. Seriously. I vividly remember biting into them and thinking this was the best wing I've ever bitten into lol I love the crunchy breading. It stays crunchy even while smothered in sauce and has some spice even though it's not mentioned in the description.CURRY CHICKEN TENDERS: There was a mix of small and large pieces, but if you averaged them into equal standard tenders, it came out to about 6 tenders. It had a good curry flavor with some kick to it. It wasn't too strong, but light and flavorful. ORIGINAL CALAMARI: The original is bland without the sauce, and the sauce is not for everybody lol I honestly don't even know how to describe the flavor, but I liked it. Unfortunately, my bf did not. This might not be worth $10 though, it didn't seem like a lot was in the box. CURLY FRIES: These were decent, standard curly fries, but definitely didn't get $5 worth, the box felt more empty than full. Not really worth it for price. I had to give this place 5 stars for blessing me with the best wings I've ever had in my life. Although the sides seem to be lackluster, it's okay, skip the side and get another order of wings lol

Don't be fooled by the front facade of this place. It's a true hole in the wall in the best way. Strong Korean Fried Chicken. I got the classic garlic glazed and it didn't disappoint. My only issue was that the menu didn't appear to allow for mixed orders (wings and drums and thighs) and the main orders didn't provide for a meal. For $14 I got ALOT of really tasty chicken, but that's it. I'd prefer slightly less chicken (even though it was tasty) and some sides. One order of chicken is great for 2 people, so long as you grab some sides. Will definitely be back!

Ordered 3 whole chickens for a group of 8 ppl and there were a whole lotta leftovers. 1 Spicy soy garlic and 2 Soy Garlic. It was delicious. The spicy soy coloring was pretty dark, which threw me off because it looked like it was drizzled in soy sauce. However, it tasted like soy garlic and wasn't salty so cannot complain. The spicy is actually spicy so beware. Overall a hole in the wall spot and speedy service.

This is definitely one of those restaurant's that lives up to the "Don't judge a book by its cover." It's on a strip mall so it would be easy to drive right by and not even notice it. The fried chicken drumsticks were delicious, moist and very flavorful. We're ordered the Spicy and Garlic. It took about 25 -30 minutes from when I ordered over the phone and started driving away after receiving the chicken. They were larger than average drumsticks. They reminded of the size of ones you'll typically find at Costco when you're just getting the drumstick package. We received 6 drumsticks for each order so I felt like it was good bang for buck. The parking lot is narrow - exactly what upper expect at a strip mall restaurant. We were able to park right in front of the entrance to the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is dated and no one was eating while I was waiting for the takeout order. There were a couple of orders before me and I got the impression people probably just order we ahead to avoid the wait. I'd you like fried Korean drumsticks this is definitely a go-to place. If you want the banchan (Korean sides) or other dishes this isn't the place. I'd recommend and will definitely be back. I gave it a 4 out of 5 for the food, and it had average service and average (almost below average) atmosphere/location. It was clean - just empty and dated. If they had other options on the menu I'd give another star. However, if you're looking for strictly fried Korean Drumsticks, I'd give it a 5/5
