Chirba Chirba Dumpling

I love dumplings! I always see Chirba Chirba Dumplings around NC and heard how popular they are. I think this is my 2nd time having them and I got the 12 pc mix of their juicy buns and spicy chicken mini's.They gave me a lot of the chicken mini's! They were good and I think they're not overly spicy, just a nice lil' kick to them. I had high hopes of their juicy buns since it's a soup dumpling, but there wasn't much broth in the buns. Besides that, the juicy buns were still flavorful and tasty. I grabbed 2 of their dipping sauces, garlic sesame and Chirba spicy. Both did not disappoint!

Highly disappointing food truck. It was parked in Greenville NC for Pitt street at a very popular spot and they did not come thru for the customers at all. You would think that a busy night would come with preparedness but no. It took 40 minutes in line to order standing, then 30 minutes to get the food after order. After 1:10 min of waiting we had our first bite and it was so disappointing. It was way too doughy and felt like it came reheated from a bag. Such a disappointment because the expectations were high for this place. Not to mention 18 pieces was $28 which was a rip off. This place deserves a 1 star.

The Chirba Chirba Dumpling food truck came to our neighborhood a few evenings ago. We were so looking forward to good dumplings and clear noodles. We ordered ahead through the SFF app which worked great. I showed up a few min before my order was to be ready and I didn't have to wait but a minute before my order was fulfilled. Unfortunately, we were bitterly disappointed with the quality of the food. The clear noodles and 3 orders of dumplings were all very bland and over cooked. The people in the truck were very nice. We wont order from the Chirba Chirba Dumpling food truck again. :(

Food Wrapped in Food! Who's in? I'm a sucker for dumplings of any kind whether they're Russian, Italian, Polish or Asian. (the RIPA of dumpling lore). Raviolis, Pierogies, Gyoza are all amazing and I, like many others could make a meal out of these sealed pouches of flavor.Some dumplings can be bland, but the kind folks at Chiba Chiba made sure these had a lot of flavor. I tried the Pork and the Veggie and all were good. The staff was friendly and others around me eating dumplings hunched over also seemed to be enjoying. This is a food truck, so good luck finding it. Instead of driving up and down every street screaming "Here Chirba Chirba", they may have a social media page that tells you where they're gone be slinging their dumplings like an angry bird at a green pig.

Pretty tasty dumplings if you're craving them. I swung by the food truck and ordered a medium (12) Juicy Buns. It didn't take long for the food to come out and they wrapped them in tin foil to keep them warm while you move to your eating spot. They only had 2 sauces to choose from when I visited, a garlic sauce and a spicy sauce. The lady who took my order was friendly as she took my order and it didn't take long at all for the buns to come out. I recommend giving them a try if you see them out and about!

So not worth the wait! This truck was scheduled to open at 1pm and waited 30 min to open plus wait time for food, and the dumplings are just ok. Trader Joe's gyoza is better than these dumplings. The chicken mins were dense and I couldn't even tell there was chicken inside. Tasted like a ball of dough. The pork buns were better, but still just ok. It was a pork meatball inside of a dumpling.

It's good but pricey for dumplings! I think their most popular one-the juicy dumplings are the best. My sister had mini chicken dumplings, which were dry and mushy- not good unfortunately. I think I spent $8 or so on my dish. This food truck has been around for a long time and always has a long line! But a key of advice is that you want to pick the juicy buns!

Delicious food, nice folks! Really enjoyed our meal and look forward to seeing them again.

DO NOT GO HERE! The truck is almost NEVER where is specifies address, and NEVER on time even if they are. Not worth driving around looking for it WHERE THEY SAY THEY WILL BE when they just never turn up. I wish I could give zero stars. If this keeps up, this food truck deserves to go out of business. Update 4/2/2024 once again this food truck is unreliable. Checked their IG for any updates and they still were not where they said they would be. Don't waste your time on them. It's a shame because their dumplings are yummy but Jesus they make it SO DIFFICULT to just get one of the 5-6 items they offer. I am so done with this shit. There are plenty of local food businesses who will be happy to be where they say they will be and provide delicious food. Goodbye chirba. Wish I could say you were worth it, but after the run around you sure the sh** aren't. Bye. Enjoy losing money by not taking care of your customer base.I will be taking my business elsewhere. It's a real shame because I would rather support them, but when they clearly demonstrate repeatedly they don't care about their customers even a little, and can't show up to advertised locations at times they specify (this had been repeatedly an issue). I just can't support them any longer. I will look into other places to curb my dumpling love because chirba CLEARLY doesn't care about their repeat customers. And it's sad.

The food is okay, I'm not sure if they make them from scratch or not, but that's not really my complaint here, I'm mostly upset about how ridiculous the pricing is. 6 dumplings will run you around $9, 12 dumplings will run you almost $19. I will definitely not be returning here :/
