In terms of American Chinese takeout, this place is consistently good. There are some tables inside, but I recommend for takeout. The parking lot is shared with other businesses, including a Kroger. The food is good and typical for Americanized Chinese takeout. Staff is direct; don't look for friendly. However, if you know what to expect this place is consistent and delicious.

Found myself craving Chinese food one day and stumbled upon China King during my search. I'm still struggling to find my casual Chinese spot in ATL that creates an overnight fan in me, so the journey continues. I ordered online via a delivery app and opted to pick it up in person. I was in the mood for some classic "NY-style" menu options that we've all come to know over the years. Sweet & Sour sauces, Shrimp with broccoli, all that. For this order, I decided to go with: Hot & Soup soup, Kung Pao chicken + fried rice, and veggie lo mein, nothing wild, just keeping it simple. My order came up to just under $30 and came with an egg roll on the side. After about 15-20min, I headed to their storefront for pickup with dreams of lounging on my couch with a glass (or 3) of Malbec and digging into my dinner.The exterior of China King doesn't scream, "Come in here and eat!", but you'll find it. Located in the Kroger plaza in East Atlanta, it's sandwiched between a few other dining spots and there are tons of parking spaces for all of the guests. Upon entry, the interior looks just like any other NY-style Chinese spot I've been to, down to the yellowing menus lol. Nostalgia! There was only one other customer inside who was sitting so I headed straight to the counter. I feel like I stood there for about 5min before anyone acknowledged that I was there, which made me cock my head a bit lol but when I was greeted, the young woman was quite nice. Picking up my order was seamless as it was ready and waiting. And I was out of there!Now, the food. The Hot & Sour Soup was amazing! Definitely a favorite of mine and it was a great way to kickoff the meal. I'll definitely be back for more. When I opened my entree, I wasn't happy to see that my fried rice was yellow. Yellow fried rice is always sketch to me (please let me know if I'm alone in this lol) and never tastes the same so I didn't eat it. ;( *shrugs* My chicken was good, but a bit too much breading to really indulge. The lo mein worked, but it was a bit greasy which isn't really a bad thing in my mind when it comes to lo mein sometimes lol. All in all, a 3.5 experience that I think is worthy of another try! I'll definitely be back for that Hot & Sour soup and I'll shoot for a dish that's a little lighter on me.

3 of us in the house and all of us were not feeling well. I didn't want to cook so the hubby suggested DoorDash. I wanted soup, so China King it is! I couldn't believe how hot, fresh and delicious all of our meals were. The hot sour soup was just loaded with veggies, had a very rich broth, full of flavor. The guys both got sesame chicken and loved it. We do live only 1.5 miles away from China King and the delivery time was under 40 minutes! All in all, I will definitely order from here again!

We ordered over the phone for pick up. The person we spoke to was polite and helpful. As soon as we got there the order was ready. We got general tso chicken and veggies with brown sauce. The food was fresh and looked great ( sorry no picture). We were pleasantly surprised and the price was just about the best part of it. This is our new Chinese food place. A++

My go to Chinese takeout! Everything is what you expect from Chinese takeout food. They always get my order right and it's quick! Love this place

I absolutely LOVE Chinese Food so when I see a lil cook to order NY style spot I stop in! One of my fav on-the-go dishes is a pint of House Lo Mein and China King DID NOT disappoint! My Lo Mein was piping hot, saucy and full of meat! It was delicious from the first forkful to the last morsel! I will definitely be back!! Can't wait to try their Shrimp & Broc! Took off a star cause they didn't have SWEET TEA!! I mean like this is a Chinese spot how you outta tea man?!

This is my go-to Chinese restaurant close to home good food nothing fancy but good food

Orange chicken is so dry and tough I had to spit it out. impossible to swallow. Shrimp egg rolls had nothing in them but a tiny bit of shrimp and all cabbage otherwise.

Generally pretty good overall, but when they mess up, they really don't care. 47 minutes for Chinese takeout. Everyone before and after came and went. When food finally ready, just wanted me to say, "thank you." No interest in keeping me as a customer after many years. Very disappointing.

China King has become our go-to spot for delivery Chinese food! We always receive our food in a timely manner, and it's always tasty.
