January 2019 Visiting my family for Holiday Season 2018 (that's December 2018). I'm reviewing my expenses so by chance returned to this restaurant's web location, and by chance read some of the reviews. I responded: that was our experience! We did Take-Away. The food was fine and tasted good. Our excess served as reasonable leftovers the next day.As to the service: I experience the same reaction: not very appealing interior; very gruff, almost outright rude, service. Looked like a husband and wife team running the restaurant. I assume that the nasty attitude was due to some personal issue that day, but I guess not.Next time in Durham, I'll make an effort to encourage my family to order from another Take-Away source.

The service was good.. but the food was dry & mediocre. I ordered sesame & orange chicken combos, dumplings & crab rangoons. All of which were dry & didn't taste fresh. Underwhelmed.

The employees are very disrespectful, I called to place a big order and was asked to pre-pay which I did not mind. I was getting ready to pay and she told me there would be a extra charge for the chicken wings because chicken is expensive but if I pay cash for the wings I would not be up charged. When I questioned the up charge, if chicken was more expensive why is the up-charge only applied to using a card, she got an attitude with me. They missed out on a big order and a long time customer. I will never return to this place ever again even if they are running a special. I give this place a negative 10.

Nothing outstanding. If it's the closest Chinese takeout, I'll return. Otherwise, not driving extra distance for this.

This is their beef & broccoli. Aka an entire box of broccoli with a few pieces of beef. Their dumplings are hard as a rock and contain a brown mass of mystery meat. Just all in all, gross.

China King is our go-to when we're craving Chinese Takeout. They have some great deals in their "Special Value Meals" list and some really good tofu options. Overall, it is definitely not healthy, but your typical greasy delicious and huge portion sizes! We've never had an issue with calling in our orders, although they always are less than enthused while on the phone. I personally love their veggie lo mein and always order that as a side, sometimes a small, other times a large when I really really want a lot of leftovers. Either way, we always get at least two meals out of one order. I would definitely suggest China King as a great takeout place for anyone in downtown Durham and north Durham.

Well the Service is all right. It's just that the lady there she has like no manners. And it crazy that her son has better manners than her.

There is no food good enough to over look the rudeness lady taking my order.Will not be back!

Great food at great prices. Hardworking employees and easy to work with on takeout orders at the last minute. Bill Gordon

This place's sucks they rude and they charge for everything and they don't let you you use the restroom even when you eating on the restaurant
