I went in for pickup. Best General Tso I've had in a long time. Food was hot and fresh. Will definitely be going back.

We went in to China Inn Cafe for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant but they did have several to go orders while we were there. The food really was delicious and seemed fresh. My only complaint is the main reason we stopped coming here a few years back. The dining room is in desperate need of a deep clean. It's just dirty.

I order from DoorDash and to be honest I don't even know what I got. The item I got looked nothing like the picture on DoorDash . Oh well I chalk it up to bad luck picking a new place for Chinese food.

I love this place - especially since the new management. Last 2 times we ate in the restaurant, the food was excellent.I made the mistake of ordering takeout on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Bad idea! They told me they were busy and there would be a wait. I understood, and figured an extra hour or hour and 15 minutes. I ordered at 5:15pm. Called at 6:30 to make sure the food had left for delivery. It had and was on its way. Finally delivered at 7:45pm. Our out of town guests had left at this point, needing to feed their 2 young sons. A 2 hr 30 minute wait!I still love this restaurant, but hope the new management learns how to staff for rushes like this. I should have left my guests and picked up the food myself.

Used to be great and my go to place...disgustingand really gross food....do not go here unless you want to get sick. How fast they fall. Quality is not there anymore. Meet spicy on Kingsland down the street is amazing. Ordered and accidentally put in pickup, my fault, called 3 times in 2 hours to have changed to delivery. Girl was rude, did not sound like she cared, and 3rd call was short with me and said order was on its way. 2 hours later I get a call from place, nice lady, stated why I have not picked up order. She had no record of me calling the other lady or asking for delivered. Used to be a great place. Food is not great anymore, and the employees just don't care since they are busy now. Take your business elsewhere as they really don't deserve our business. Very sad. Only would have given zero stars except lady who called was kind. 3 hrs and still waiting. Wow. Go to Meet Spice Asian Fusion 23450 Kingsland Blvd, Katy,.They are incredible, fresh, amazing. With real Chinese traditional and American Chinese. China Inn is in the don't care mode and they don't care about quality or clients. They used to be great. Can't wait to get my cold food. If I get it... been 3 hours. Food I finally got, dumplings were reheated and chewy gross. Chicken reheated as well. They could have remade everything but they just don't care. Sick.

My first delivered (Grubhub) Chinese meal in Texas and I'm slightly confused. The flavor is good but I expected noodles with my chow mein. Instead I got some chicken and a container full of onion. Again, it was tasty but lacking substance. There was no side of rice or anything. I'm not a big fan of onion so I ultimately paid $12 for a few pieces of chicken. Egg drop soup was average. Fairly quick delivery.

My second takeout order and second time they didn't get it right. The first time they forgot the spring rolls. This time the chicken with broccoli turned out to be beef and they shorted us one steamed rice. They also tried to get me to pay for the order that was paid for online. Food is average.

I reserve my 1 stars for food poisoning and horrendous service but this was close just based on taste.Pork lo mein. No flavor, not gross, but no flavor. The pork was not the typical red roast pork and tastes like it was just sliced and quickly stir fry with the noodles. The dish itself basically tastes like soy sauce on noodles with flavorless meat.Kung Pao chicken was absolutely flavorless. No spice, no pepper flavor, nothing. Just like a thickened brown soy sauce. Chicken was not tender and pale.Wonton soup broth was pale and barely had a chicken flavor. Wontons pork filling was flavorless and bland.Hot and Sour soup was not the right flavor. Wife described it as sweet and sour soup and not a proper hot and sour.If you're looking for Chinese takeout, this isn't it. Everything was very bland and flavorless in general.The restaurant was clean. Service was on time. Portions were generous, but since it wasn't good it really didn't matter.

My wife and I love Chinese food. We've been to more then a dozen places. The Combination Lo Mein was absolutely the best! I highly recommend it, since it has actual FLAVOR! Garlic and all the other flavors that should be in a good lo mein dish. Lo mein at most restaurants we tried is just greasy, not here, the flavor is over the top, and the meats are tender! They give you a ton of shrimp, beef and chicken in the combo. The orange beef was also super tender, a bit sweet, and not really any spice. We like it either spicy or not, but I like a bit more ginger and heat spicy. Overall this will be a regular Chinese food place we hit up to try other menu items. I loved the staff, and prices were on par with others but you got more for what you paid for. Thanks you to the staff and please keep it up!

The food at China Inn Cafe is absolutely amazing! Very tasty, fresh, and well prepared. Most importantly, you can choose among many menu options, and you get a lot of food as well for the price.The restaurant is beautiful...such a warm and welcoming environment. We had a very good dining experience, and our waitress was awesome!Very fortunate to have this place just a few minutes' drive away from home. We highly recommend it...A great spot to get great food.
