China House

I have been a loyal customer at this Chinese restaurant for the past couple of years but sadly I don't think I can eat here anymore. I was enjoying my wonton soup and I found these two metal shavings in the wontons. I'm just thankful I looked before I took a bite.Update: I called to inform the worker at the front that there was metal shavings in my soup to prevent someone else from potentially swallowing it. The worker offered for me to come back to get a fresh one, but I just don't feel comfortable eating there anymore.

Credit card company warned me China House charged me twice. I called them and they said they can only fix it if I come back in person. No other option. It's an hour from my house so not worth it. No apology.I found myself in Nightdale again a few weeks later so I stopped by. The same rude lady who had taken my order and double charged me was there. She looked at my bank app, took the money out of the register, handed it to me and walked away without a word. Dear China House, you essentially stole from me and didn't apologize when called out. This is not acceptable.

Service was great, very polite and nice, food was not that great.. very bland and the fried rice had a yellow tint and was very oily.

Ok, I know this place has good and bad reviews, but I've been eating here for 13 years and it's all about what you order. They have some old staples that are on point, and some new dishes that are fire! Order right and you'll be happy! Place an order online and you are making a mistake. Where to start? Ordered Won ton soup. $9.50 for not filled pintcontainer. What? Is it gold? Broth and wontons. Pork fried rice? Pint is $9.95. They completely missed the main dish. Plus it took forever! No idea why since they didn't cook main dish.When I called, she put me on hold and left me there. Never came back.Angry? Will never even think about trying again.Sad when you want to support a local restaurant and get screwed!

Had to write an update because my husband and I have been going to this place for years. They are friendly, fast, efficient, and have taken a lot of precautionary measures to keep takeout going safely through the pandemic!The biggest change in the past couple of years here has been the new additions to the menu. They are seriously GOOD! Our favorites are the black pepper chicken, crispy hot and spicy chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, and crispy fish fillets. The regular menu is a mixed bag like with any American Chinese restaurant. But there are a few standouts: egg foo young, roast pork fried rice, fried baby shrimp, and fried chicken wings are my staples. Basically, order the right dishes and you won't be disappointed :)

Stopped there to take home some lunch. The food was very good and tasted authentic. This our first time ordering there, but it will not be the last.

I drive 30 mins faithfully for this Chinese food. Always fresh and clean tasting. Just wish they delivered to me it had DoorDash

It is funny cause they have a score of 3.5 on GOOGLE . Not anymore because I just posted. haha...smh. Now i am finna post this one. So my kids wanted chinese food tonight because I got off so late. we usually go to WANGS kitchen but unfortunately they were closed. so we went here tonight thinking after COVID they would be better. BUT i was DEFINITELY wrong. When I arrived the lady had a BIG attitude! DID NOT greet me so I told her what I ordered. As I start talking i'm looking her in the eyes and I say "4 eggro" she walks away. Comes around the corner with someone else's order! smh if you don't like your job then LEAVE!! I should have gone to Zebulon to go to that chinese place that we like. I got the szechuan chicken. its suppose to be spicy. This has no flavor what so ever!!!!!!! Its like the soaked their food in oil. Not only that but they charge TWICE as much. I got the regular for us it was 41$. 3 combos (my food plus sesame chicken and my sons chicken wings. Wangs kitchen charges me 28$ for the same thing. WITH FLAVOR!!!!!!!! smh i will never go here again. wish i could have given them 00000000 stars!!!! It's crazy because I do NOT write reviews. After working for 10 hours today (at my job that I LOVE) I did not want to cook. I should have saved my hard earned money and cook my children some food.PS my kids did NOTTTTTT like the food!! they both came to me like....."no mom we like the other place"ANGRY GUEST!!!!

The food is always good. We stop by often. We like the combinations best. But can not go wrong with anything
