China Bear Restaurant

Tried this place today for the first time, very large place with a gift shop they sell bamboo plants etc big buffet a lot of options to chose from. Honestly fair at best ! Food was ok over all some didn't taste the best or lookedCooked enough. A few desserts too. Staff ok. Funny sign at tables

My family came here for dinner, we were sat and asked for our drink order. When we went to the buffet we noticed there was not fresh food being put out. Not once were told when we entered after a certain time there would not be any fresh food put out.We ate what we could...half of the food was dried out for sitting in the pan for so long.I will not be coming back to this place and do not bring your family after 8.

Went there on a Friday Dec 9th at 6:30 pm and the food looked like it had been sitting in their trays since LUNCH TIME!!!!!! The place was practically empty but I THOUGHT my family and I were EARLY for the dinner rush. NO ONE in the place (servers, waiters, hostess) we're familiar. The SUSHI had stuff running out the middle, fish was cold, no fried shrimp, egg rolls and food staff nowhere to be found DOING their jobs. As I informed the manager, who looked all of 15yrs old of my concerns he wanted to knowWHICH DISHES I had problems with. DAMN SON!!!! Do you NOT have EYES or a NOSE, your entire selection of entrees is an accident waiting to happen. Then I began to notice other folks aimlessly pacing around the choices like ZOMBIES and other individuals complaining and inquiring "WTH is going on in here". I was so HUNGRY I was blind to what I had walked into. NEVER, since 2008 have I ever seen CHINA BEAR this bad even with their increase in menu prices. Did the former owners SELL it.BUT THIS is the kicker, after NOT being able to consume ANY of the entrees I was presented with a $75 BILL, THE DEVILL IS A LIE!!!!! My biggest regret I had not taken pictures, which I ALWAYS do when I eat out.My family and I ended up at HAPPY FAMILY on FM 1960 East

As far as Chinese buffets go, this may be one of the best out there. The selection was vast though I would like to see a few pork options added but the beef options were surprisingly good with higher than usual quality meat. I dropped in around 1:30 and I was pleased to find the place still hopping with fresh pans of food being brought out.

Considering this is buffet.. surprisedley everything that a ate it had good flavors... last time I visit this place was when they opened...long time ago..

General appreciation is good for the price. Need improvement on the freshness of product and refill (desserts were most of them emptyCleaning table was done after every plate do very appreciable

The place is HUGE! The service is meh but the food is cold by the time you get to your table from the buffet it's cold. There is nothing great about any of the dishes, which is sad to have to admit since I've been wanting to go there. There is an amazing gift shop there and I did get to feed the Koi fish which was so much fun! They got 3 stars because of the gift shop & Koi, the food got NO STARS but I can't give it more than that because of the food.

Food was terrible, most of the meat was chewy & overall just tasted like frozen foods. Some items were okay, but overall made my stomach hurt. As far as service, the people on the inside were good, however the security guard was very rude. He came outside gripping his gun over some shitty ass food, while minors are present in the car. Do not recommend unless if you want to put literal garabge in your body.

Disgusting food, it doesn't go through my head how this place is still running a business. I got up to go get my food and I just saw a bunch of flies around the food like what is that. the service was mid. The ambience was off very sketchy place to go eat. Took a peak over the koi fishes and they had plastic in the water like guys let's do better... we don't want these poor fishes dying just because ya'll don't want to go throw y'all's stuff in the trash. Hopefully I don't get food poising. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!

Terrible. Zero stars. There's no way this place would pass an inspection. Luke warm food on the buffet. Nasty bathrooms. Our car got broken into parked right next to the security guard and I still counted myself lucky because I didn't end up with food poisoning.
