Chikara is a sushi and Asian fusion restaurant in downtown Phoenixville. I often use DoorDash to order food from there and that's the only reason why I'm not giving it five stars. when using DoorDash and you select the lunch sushi options you're giving the option of a soup or a salad but there's nowhere to select the soup or the salad and therefore they default by giving you nothing. I recently learned after calling the restaurant that I'm supposed to put it in the notes in the order what I wanted which I appreciate them taking the time to explain that to me but the first couple of orders were frustrating because I didn't receive the soup that I wanted. I'm not sure how much of that is a restaurant issue versus a DoorDash issue but I enjoy their food. I have yet to sit down inside.

The Thai Mango with Chicken was almost completely raw, even the stir fry vegetables were as warm as the refrigerator vegetable drawer. The sweet sour mango sauce tasted like corn syrup with soggy mangos. Not at all impressed with their "Taste of South East Asia". I usually love gyoza and the sauce, the gyoza was good, however the sauce tasted like spicy ketchup.This restaurant was not busy, The "chef" was either new or having a really bad day. I used to enjoy the food here, but no plans on coming back anytime soon or recommending anyone to this establishment.

I love Chikara for sushi - haven't tried their Chinese offerings. They are consistent with what was offered by Liki in that the sushi tastes impeccably fresh and their portions are very generous. We often go for their sushi sashimi combo lunch (M-Sa) which is a bargain but will also add some of their specialty rolls which are also incredibly priced (and we can be little piggies when it comes to sushi.) We feel spoiled and can't seem to enjoy other sushi places as well as Chikara.
