This restaurant comes to my job as a guest restaurant from time to time , I finally decided to get it and I'm super glad I did. I got the Marsala chicken with the basmati rice and naan bread, the flavor of the chicken was super good and the chicken was tender. I can't wait to try their butter chicken the next time they come back. The owner is really nice and very pleasant. Our job won't let them sale a rice dish that I've enjoyed so I will be making my stop at their restaurant to try it out.

This place hands down a gem and my favorite Indian restaurant in the suburbs. This is one of the few, if only, real Kerala style restaurants in the Chicago area, and it is much better than Thattu. My favorite items are the fish polichatthu, which is pompano fish coated in spices and cooked in a banana leaf. It is simply delicious and an authentic Kerala item. The kizhi parotta is also amazing- this is parotta soaked in chicken curry, cooked in a banan leaf. The appam last time was too soggy, so would avoid that. Otherwise, very friendly owner, delicious food, and a truly unique experience in the chicago area!

Would highly recommend this authentic South Indian restaurant. As someone native to this culture, the food was spot on and so delicious. It was nice to see the owner come out and check on each table. The samosas, dum biriyani and chatti parotta and beef were all so flavorful and enjoyable!

I have been recommending this place ever since I tried this recently. If you are looking for authentic kerala food this is the place to go.The restaurant was so kind to accommodate my vegan and allergy requirements, the management and the chef specifically made sure to double check.Every dish was amazing, flavorful and just right. Also the place is spacious and casual which is a plus.

An amazing spot to dine at from the host to the buss boy amazing service..more like keen interest in personalization of each and every client . The food was amazing as well tried a couple of the weekend specials plus some regular favs.. the ambiance is of a south Indian vibe with actors pics all hand drawn in canvas to a yellow scooter parked in the front . A tasteful vibe of decor and food a must try place if u in the mood for south Indian food . Oh and if u like things spicy just let them know and they can make it hot enough that ur tush burns .

The food was only edible , the fish was good , it came out hot but the rest of food was cold and had no taste but full of hot spice even though we asked for mild spicy , ordered noodles with chicken , noodles was simply tossed in ketchup and chicken was fried tough. Nothing great. The service is horrible, very very slow . The place looks very dusty and dirty. Went there to try Indian food. But I guess there are better options around. I would not recommend this place .

Started with their website. Great homepage. Loved their menu; the pictures of great movie stars from Southern India.Loved that they had good mix of Punjabi, South Indian and Indian Chinese (yes folks, Indian Chinese is a thing). At first, we thought it was closed as there was nobody. Then I saw a silhouette and realized there is somebody; just not guests. No, there was one couple. No, on the other side, there was a large group. Overall, the place was empty but again you know, we're Indians. We dine and wine late into the night. That's just us.LOVED the theme going inside. Was a relatively cold night but the inside was decorated like you are on the beach somewhere in Kerala (Southern part of India). I already liked the vibes. A gentleman got us seated, got us water, etc. For those of you who have read some of my reviews and recall I've mentioned that 'desi' connection a few times. That warmth you get only when you visit India from anyone; I felt that here from everyone. The owner came and talked to us and we had a nice chat at the end. Believe it or not, we had a HEAVY lunch so really only came in to take a light bite. But of course, we ordered and left with full bellies. I started with the Madras coffee; You know I love my coffee. I'm not the one to say that Madras coffee is the best in the world. There are plenty of coffees out there and they have their place in the world just like Madras coffee. Outside of India, this is one of the few places I have had Madras coffee and I really enjoyed it.We also ordered a cheese chili dosa, gobi manchuran and a plate of samosas. If you know me, you know I'm getting samosas at the most unlikeliest of places too. I LOVE samosas. The samosas here did not disappoint. I knew I may not like it since the bulk of the menu is from South India and from past experience, I like the North Indian samosa flavor profile better BUT, I am GLAD I ordered them here. Absolutely LOVED it. I also like the finishing chat masala on top. The covering was perfectly done. The masala (filling) inside was very very good. The cheese chili dosa was really good. Do not get scared when you see it come out and it's not standing tall but has rather fallen flat; I think it's the cheese that does it. They do put the cheese practically on the entire dosa. Oh and the chili was nice and HOT. Hmmmmmm. Lastly the gobi manchuran. My wife loved it. I'm not a big fan of manchuran and for me the salt was just a tad bit high but I can't duck a point for the manchuran since manchuran isn't my thing anyway.Turns out, they opened up in 2019 and then you know what came later right; they've survived thus far. I intend to make the hike up there as often as I can and also have a few friends I think will appreciate the food.

Spicy , oily and pricey . Have dined here few times and that's what I felt about this restaurant. I love Kerala food , but not satisfied with the items here . Willing to try after few months again, hope they will address these concerns.

Disclaimer: I am a malayalee and really miss food from Kerala. This place was such a treat for us! I got the fish fry (so good!) which comes on a banana leaf with onions. We also got the mixed fish combo lunch platter with came with an assortment of vegetarian sides with both fried fish and fish curry! Both so delicious.
