Tekka Sushi

This place is close to my office and I heard a lot of good things about it from my colleagues. I visited this place with some other colleagues and it was fantastic (for early dinner).The place has a great layout and classy ambiance. We ordered a lot of items from menu and everything was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to see a big list of vegetarian options. Best part is that it is not expensive compared to other high-end sushi places. Their cocktail drinks are also pretty good (and generous with alcohol). Our server was very good and she was super quick in getting our orders as well. I plant to visit this place quite often.

Great sushi and menu! Prices are very competitive. The decor is beautiful and specialty rolls are large. Booth seating is comfortable and the music isn't too loud.Nigiri - avg $3 per piece, nice cuts and served on cute dishes in a box.Crab rangoon (6) $6.50 - Better than most, filling is tasty and is more than just cream cheese, would order again!Soft shell crab $8 - 1 soft shell crab cut in half, easy to share with 2 people. Lightly breaded and crunchy.Black Dragon Roll $16 - Fully loaded and delicious!Godzilla Roll $16 - Shrimp is crunchy and roll is flavorful.Butterfly roll $15 - Not bad, the crunch doesn't come through as much because the tempura shrimp is in the middle of the roll.Crispy Rice Tuna (4 pieces) $12 - Four large pieces of fully loaded roll with crispy riceDragon Roll $13 - A solid eel roll.Fire Phoenix Roll $14 - OkTwins Roll $13 - This is not my type of roll because of the texture. As you walk into the restaurant you are greeted with friendly faces and great customer service!! the interior is cute and welcoming.The food was outstanding!! Fresh and best sushi we had in a while. We are visitors from Europe and will be making sure our Chicago office takes a visit! thanks for a great experience!

I stopped here early on Monday for lunch, shortly after it had opened, so it was not busy at all. As others have mentioned, they offer some lunch specials, but I decided I wanted to try their ramen and one roll of sushi. That way I could get an idea of how they compare with both the places I go to for ramen, as well as the sushi places.The spicy miso ramen was tasty, although I didn't care for the pork pieces. The "supersonic " roll I ordered was also good. Next time I'm here, I'll try one of the sashimi/sushi lunch specials (with basic rolls and sashimi) and then I'll really get a tasting of their sushi freshness and taste.The service was prompt and friendly, the place is very nice inside, and even without the specials, I found their pricing reasonable. I recommend.

This place was so clean and beautiful inside. Perfect place for a quick bite during the lunch hour. The food was filling and tasted fresh. Highly recommend coming here!

I really like this spot for sushi, reminds me of my default spot closer to where I live. Come here for lunch specials during the week until 2:30pm for sushi, nigiri and sashimi combo specials.Even the off lunch prices are still good at $7-16 per roll depending on if its a special roll.Spicy tuna, spider roll, spicy tuna jalapeno and sunny rolls were delicious. Cocktails and appetizers were also yummy. Recommend the tempura.Finally, we also tried the ramen which was okay. Its not the authentic which you'd traditional Japanese ramen shop, but its ok if your cool with that. This will probably be one of my new favorite spots. Its so good and nicely decorated inside while still casual. Also Ethan our server is great!

Travels took me to Chicago and I was staying near the Airport. I decided to stop in Tekka Sushi for dinner. The restaurant is located in a strip shopping center and from the outside looks like just another average Sushi spot. Once inside the restaurant is actually very nice. The food was delicious and the service was very good. My server was attentive and the food was delivered quickly. Price was very reasonable as well.

Absolutely phenomenal crispy rice appetizer! I could make a full meal of that alone! Also the Godzilla and Volcano signature sushi rolls were delicious! Loved the casual yet refined atmosphere - the bathrooms were gorgeous, too (fully enclosed stalls). Waitress was wonderful. I wish we lived closer!

Great online ordering experience, quick pick up, able to do gluten free very well, and the staff was nice during pick up. The sushi, miso soup, and edamame were great! City quality sushi experience in the burbs!

This place is modern with great service. The sushi was very fresh, but standard fare. I like the availability of unique seafood, but some on the menu were not available...
