Beyond Tony the Tiger great... my overdue awaited review is here.. five stars??? Yes, based off of over 15 visits, the consistency is there, the quality in food meets beyond the standards and the owners still chopping it up in the kitchen will keep you coming... sadly, after being a pilsen veteran, I barley became aware of the deliciousness' victor offered. Ok, so I've nearly tried it all.. is it pricey?? Hell yea.. but is the quality there? Of course. My favorite is anything arrachera(grilled steak) .. if you order tacos they put rice and beans on it. The arrachera is grade A. Cooked to perfection. Tortas are the best.(although) as we know Togo can cause sogginess). I've nearly tried every dish and haven't had a bad one yet. You walk in order, wait a minute AND BOOOOOM, the orders ready. The owener are preparing it all.

Taqueria Taco Bueno is a great spot in Pilsen. I stopped in for a late lunch and was not disappointed. I ordered a taco dinner with 2 carne asada and 1 arrachera taco. I really enjoyed the carne asada taco! The meat was flavorful and the tacos were really full. The arrachera wasn't my favorite mostly due to how tough it was but the flavor was still good. The dinner came with rice and beans which were also really good.The service was quick. There's a few seats inside. And they are also cash only, so keep that in mind. I'll definitely be back.

The absolute best taco spot in Chicago, no doubt about it. Family oriented atmosphere. Tacos are HUGE. I only need two and I am full. I take all my friends and family who visit Chicago to Taco Bueno. I can't recommend it more. It closes at 3 pm each day, so take that into consideration when making plans. Cash only.

Pretty good spot my foodie cousin raved to me about.Was on point.Definitely need to return.Had their guisado de costillas de puerco en salsa verde.Was delicious.Huge portion.Great bang for the buck.Word is their carne asada is FIRE(my cousin said.lol) Must definitely return to try!!!!! YEEEEES!!!!

I used to go there for breakfast all the time when I worked at Stronger hospital. Juevos Rancheros. Now I'm retired. I went for breakfast last week and they were Cary out only. I don't drive. I miss my Rancheros

I love going here during my lunch breaks while I work from home. They give you very generous portions of meat as well! The horchata is also 100%. What's even better is that the people that own this business are the sweetest, nicest, most welcoming people out there. They also serve menudo on Sundays . WARNING: it's a CASH ONLY establishment!

walked into this place completely by chance, and wow was i blown away. the tacos are literally the size of 2 and a half normal tacos, and the beef stew taco was SO TENDER and full of flavor!!!! the salsa wasn't the bestest, but the meat was flavorful enough that you honestly didn't need it. the tortillas were also homemade i think??? or at least they tasted like it, and seriously cannot emphasize enough how big the taco was, like had to eat the filling with a fork because there was no way i would be able to fold the masterpiece

Cute taqueria, great friendly helpful family owned, giant burritos, everything well prepared can be spicy! Best Mexican rice in Chicago

This place used to be good must be new owners we bought gorditas moronas it's very dry no flavor

Great food and service, all their guisados remind me of homemade food by my mother and grandmother. The steak tacos are probably my favorite but everything on the menu is delicious!
