While at lollapalooza we came across Tandoor and it was delicious! Fresh hot severed to order with fresh condiments. We really appreciate the team. Indoor seating at Lincoln park.It is a must try and they good for party trays

COME THROUGH CHICAGO INDIAN FOOD SCENE! Tandoor is a stop that should be on your list if you love Indian food. The location on Halsted has select $5 appetizers, Mon - Wednesday and they include Samosas (2), Chaat fries or Pakoras, which are fritters that are deep fried to a golden brown. The samosas are huge! The vegetable Samosa was packed with so much flavor and the sauce that came for dipping made it even better! I'm used to getting samosas that have just a little bit of filling or have a crust that isn't the most appetizing. These were the complete opposite!If I have to suggest anything - it's definitely the Murg Malai. It's huge and can feed two people honestly. And the flavors? So tasty!!!! Everything is brought out sizzling! The veggies are fresh and the meat has been marinating for 24 hours before being cooked fresh. Those flavors are Poppin!Stop by to try something off of their delicious menu and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!

For sure there's a lot of Indian restaurants around here. It seems there's a few on this particular stretch of Halsted in Lakeview. Tandoor Chef has a few locations around town. Has great food except for it being kind of expensive. You get pretty good quality though it seems. As of the last time here, they were only doing orders for carryout. It changed our plans a bit, but we made it work as best as possible. The good thing was there were other places we could take the food into and sit. Got a few things that were the cheapest. Meaning these still were pretty expensive unfortunately. It's $8 for the Kachumber Salad, which is kind of like a basic salad pretty much. Was topped with onions and tomatoes, and came with a side of spicy pickled vegetables. It's also $8 for the Vegetarian Samosas. These were pretty big ones thankfully. Good stuff for those willing to pay for it. It's pretty expensive but it's mostly full of flavor though. The menu has a few things great for vegans and vegetarians.

Stopped by here for a last minute group dinner with friends on Saturday night. We were able to get seated pretty quickly despite not having a reservation. We ordered vegetable pakoras for the table and had paneer tikka and chicken kadhai. The paneer could have used more spice but although I didn't eat the chicken dish, the group said it was fantastic. All in all we had a good time here.

Great place. Plenty of open tables on a Saturday at 8 PM. A couple big black flies around the dining room which is why it lost a star. Food was delicious and came out fast. Very engaging staff who answered all questions. Everything was very tasty. We ordered the naan assortment platter and chicken tikka masala- medium spice. Not sure if they are byob but no alcohol served here.

Love this spot! They just remodeled the inside of the Lincoln Park location and it is beautiful! The service is great and the food is the best part of course. My favorite is their lamb tikka masala. They also have some of the best biryani I've ever had! Cant recommend the samosa and paneer Pakora enough!

Unsustainable environment practices dropped a star for this one given the styrofoam and its impact on our environment. I cannot support the use of styrofoam or plastic. Regarding taste, the food was pretty salty. Amount of food is decent sized portions. Service was great. Very kind and great people. I hope they switch to paper and environmentally friendly utensils& carry out.

Comfort food is the way to my heart, rice was perfectly cooked and naan really hit the spot but the best thing not in the picture was the lamb tacos. Wow just amazing. server made great recommendations for a 5 year old and it was quiet enough where we could hear each other and loud enough where we couldn't hear the next table. Small and homie you'll leave with your belly full and ready for a nap

Tandoor was absolutely amazing in every way. The food was superb with tons of options. The staff was incredibly friendly & provided great suggestions. Loved the atmosphere! Definitely coming back as often as possible.

Food was not good and we had to return one veg dish.Waiter was great but spread thin; one waiter for whole restaurant.
