Salty like my rim, spicy like my 'rita Who doesn't love beautiful Chicago weather and sitting outside sipping on drinks?! @tacorio_chicago on the Riverwalk is the best place to relax after work or during the weekend with friends while looking at the lake and having a great time:) The spicy margarita's are delicious from here and honestly so was the Paloma and piña colada that's pictured on here this place is at the end of the Riverwalk so it's very peaceful and honestly the ambiance to this place is gorgeous, summer is ending soon so definitely grab your friends and head over here for a cute brunch or happy hour after work:) The service was very fast and sweet!

Not impressed at all. The wait is not worth it! There are so many other restaurants along the riverwalk that are probably 10xs better. The food was mediocre at best, cheese tasted weird. I would not come back here. Plus, the people in this area are a little bit *classless* Someone really tried to fight me over a table (lol).

A cute little spot on the riverwalk - Really pretty flowers and decor so it's perfect for a girls happy hour or day drinking spot. The nachos were ok but the margarita flight was pretty good, and you're really going here for the ambiance / views and drinks rather than the food.

Great for the summer. Sit down by the river walk and enjoy margarita pitcher with some tacos and some chips & dips. Friendly service. Live DJ. Friendly crowd. Strongly recommend.

Stumbled upon this place while out exploring with friends. It's an amazing view along the river. The drinks were good and the food looked good, but unfortunately I was unable to try it. Service is pretty slow, you have to stand in line to order both food and drinks, took about 25 minutes to get 2 drinks as the two people in front of us both got the margarita flights and there was only one bartender (crazy on a Saturday afternoon lol) . We tried to get food, but were told the kitchen was backed up and they weren't taking anymore orders for another 15 minutes, so that was disappointing. Got a good drink and a good pic, but probably won't come back.

While in Chicago, I wanted to see what the rave was about regarding Taco Rio & I must say they won me over too! I absolutely loved this place and highly recommend it! It was on the water, right in the heart of downtown Chicago. I was able to enjoy a perfect day, walking along the river and enjoying good food and drinks with friends. The service was good, the food was delicious, and the drinks were strong! I look forward to going back real soon!!!

Only come here for the views, mediocre Carne asada tacos, overpriced drinks, some items get sold out. Loaded nachos has cheese, jalapeños, cabbage, tomatoes, and sour cream. Bus boy keeps asking if we were finished even when he sees our pitcher was still full and we're still finishing our food. Not coming back

Long lines and honestly not worth it. Al pastor tacos mid the meat itself had no flavor and absolutely not the Mexican Al pastor you're expecting. The pineapple on the tacos and salsa is what made it taste alright. Would I go again and wait a long line? Nope! Drinks are expensive not that much alcohol in the drinks so not worth it. The atmosphere is nice. Cute little setting. If you wanna go try it go experience it. Btw carne asada tacos were better than the Al pastor tacos.

Nice location but I didn't love my food. I ordered the elotes & the corn tasted old. Or maybe I just don't like elotes (that was my first time eating it). My husband ordered the carne asada street tacos & they tasted good.

The taco was filled pretty heavily with meat, but still not worth the $6 that it cost. It was tasty, but nothing special. The corn was really tasty, but super hot and also not necessarily worth $9. The food took pretty long to be ready when the place wasn't super busy, so I can't imagine how long it would take if it actually was busy. You do get a 20% coupon if you kayak with urban kayaks next door which makes the price almost worth it.
